Numunokko, an ordinary girl living in Snowfall, finds herself at the center of one of the worst wars Snowfall has ever seen. An organization called Lumunaa Kenéwanakétch rises to follow the bloodthirsty intentions of the god of evil himself, Runuru. The organization destroys Numunokko’s hometown, takes over the country, and murders thousands. Numunokko has sworn vengeance and is determined to get her country back. She throws her bow over her shoulder, sharpens her pointiest arrows, and leads the resistance into battle. Of course, Numunokko cannot do it alone. Along for the ride are a stuck-up heir to the kingdom, a boy she has known forever who has some magic up his sleeve, a mother who has just re-entered her life, an elderly merchant who can still throw a pretty powerful punch, a soldier with a dark past, and a four year-old boy who is smarter than all of them. Can they, once and for all, defeat the god of evil?
