Watch It Pumpkin captures photographically the lifecycle of a pumpkin, from seed to seedling and on to fully-grown plant. It is written by Barrie Watts and illustrated with his own photography that has been commissioned for the series. The book also looks at how a pumpkin flowers, how it gets food and how it pollenates. Each spread addresses one stage of the lifecycle. The text works on two different levels. The first simple paragraph reads in conjunction with the picture to give an overview, while the main text expands these points in greater detail.
