This version of Goldilocks is pretty similar to the one that I remember hearing as a child. Goldilocks was a spoiled little girl who got whatever she wanted. One day, she left her house and was walking through the woods when she became hungry. She came upon the cottage and smelled porridge. She tried papa bear's and momma bear's but they didn't taste good. When she tried baby bear's porridge, it was delicious so she ate all of it. Then she needed to sit down and papa bear and momma bear's chairs were uncomfortable, but baby bear's chair was perfect. When she sat in the chair, it broke into one hundred pieces. Goldilocks became very tired and wanted a nap. Baby bear had the most comfortable bed and she fell asleep. When the Bear family came home, they noticed that their food was eaten, their chairs were messed up, and their beds were slept in. Baby bear started yelling when he saw Goldilocks in his bed. When Goldilocks woke up, she screamed and ran home. The Bear family put a lock on their house and Goldilocks stopped being a spoiled brat.
A different take on the traditional Goldilocks. She goes on a walk in the forest and gets tired so she walks in a random house. She tries out 3 chairs in the house and breaks the smallest bears. She eats 3 things of porridge and eats all of baby bears. When they come home she is asleep in her bed and they all run away because she is a strange creature. This would be a good book to teach point of view. It would be interesting to gather many different versions of the book and have the students compare the different versions of this well known story.
This is about a girl who goes into a house without permission and eats their food, breaks their chairs, and then sleeps in their beds. I enjoyed this version of Goldilocks, because the author made it known to the readers that Goldilocks was a brat. He does not make Goldilocks seem innocent. I also like how she learned manners after finding out the house was owned by bears. Overall, a good book for a child.
A young girl wanders into the woods. She goes into a house and takes a nap. She is woken up by a family of bears. As most in most traditional literature books, there is a lesson learned in this story. Goldilocks learns to listen to her parents and obey what they say. The family of bears also learns they need to lock up their house. A cute and fairly short story about Goldilocks!
"Goldilocks" is apart of the two short stories in the Rabbit Ears series, its counterpart being "Red Riding Hood." Everybody knows the whole story about what happens between Goldilocks and the Three Bears, so I won't go into that.
For the audio version, Meg Ryan's narration is sweet and she adds a southern accent to further bring out the creativity in this story. Art Lande's music is old fashioned, yet jazzy at the same time, providing a modern beat to this old fairy tale.
For this book, Lazlo Kubinyi's illustrations are beautiful as Goldilocks is illustrated as a golden hair young child who sports southern style clothing. "Goldilocks" is an instant treat for anyone who is a fan of Meg Ryan and fairy tales.
This book is about a girl that takes a walk through the forest and comes across a house. She proceeds to go inside and sees three bowls of porridge on the table. The first bowl was too hot, the next was too cold, and the last one was juts right, so she drinks all of that. She then comes across three chairs; one too hard, one too soft, and one just right, but then it breaks. Lastly, she sees three beds; one too hard, one too soft, and one just right where she falls asleep. The owners of the house come home which happen to be three bears. Mama bear, papa bear, and baby bear. Goldilocks awakes and is scared, so she runs out of the house and far away.
This was much like the traditional story that children hear about goldilocks except that she didn't listen to her parents that's why she ran away and she never talked to the bears when she got caught, she bolted right out and the bears never saw her again. she began listening to her parents instead of doing her tricks and the bears put a lock on their door and never saw her again. It is a fun tale to read and do different versions. It can teach to listen to your parents and not go into other peoples home without asking.
This little girl Goldilocks decides to go on a walk and stumbles across a home. She walks in and finds pots of porridge. She tastes all three pots and then she finds three different chairs and tests them all out. One of the chairs break as she is sitting in it. She then goes upstairs and finds three different beds. She tests them all out and falls asleep in one. The owners of the house come home which are three bears and they scare the little girl away.
This is a classic tale of Goldilocks who gets everything she wants. It's similar to the story I remember when growing up however this one is a bit comical with the choice of words the author uses, such as, "she bolted from the bed, or left skid marks when sliding down the tree."
Goldilocks goes to a bear cottage and eats their food, sits in their seats, and sleeps in their beds. When the bears come back they are not happy. Baby bears porridge is all gone, his chair is broke and she is still sleeping in his bed. She awakes and runs away.
Goldilocks sunk out of her house and at the baby bears porridge. She sat in all the chairs and broke baby bears. She slept in baby bears bed. They made Goldilocks behave.
