Another light, nostalgic read. Unlike the first book, The Beginning of Everything Else, this book had an original storyline; though the Joey romance plot is similar to one of the early season one episodes where she has a summer romance with Anderson who's spending his summer in Capeside.

Characters - 7; they seem a bit old for fifteen-year-olds, but doesn't matter for the book anyway.

Atmosphere - 8; creek by your house, what else you need?

Writing - 5; could improve but, not bad.

Plot - 5; extremely fast paced.

Intrigue - 3; expected more.

Logic/Relationships - 2; crappy teens with mood swings. some of these kids really made me scream at their behaviour.

Enjoyment - 9; a perfect light- headed summer book!

Preferred this to the first one for sure. Accurate representation of the characters including their annoying traits (looking at you Dawson). If you like Dawson's creek and want to revisit with a nice casual read, I'd definitely recommend it. Who needs to be academic when you can enjoy yourself :D

Different author than the other DC books I've read - not quite as good - but still amazing nostalgia fodder :)

First ever outing to Crosswords at C-Scheme in Jaipur, it was early August... Our first week in city which was going to be our home for next 5 years... The photography teacher invited us to an exhibition at C-Scheme and attendance would be on basis of signatures in guestbook. Once the signature were done, we quickly made our way to the book shop... 30 minutes later at the billing counter, "You bought the thinnest book you could spot..." Never regretted the thinness of the book, but always liked how pocket friendly it was and the translation from TV series was detailed... the characters were all relatable, more so enticing was the cover page for a 19 year old... Loved the Long Hot Summer... I have long lost the book and as the heart to the bookshop and the city...

This is my favorite Dawson's Creek novel out of the ones i've read so far. I liked the story. I was happy when Joey met Jeremy, and when Pacey & Jen saved Joey's life at the end.

This book was really interesting. The events that happen make you want to read it more often and makes you a part of the book. I would recommend this book to 13-15 year old people.
