Do their matchmaking daughters have the right idea?
A Matrimony Valley novel
Snowed in with the best man at a wedding weekend, florist Kelly Nelson can’t help but notice that the handsome widower seems overwhelmed raising his young daughter. So Kelly is delighted when her own daughter befriends the girl. But when the little matchmakers target Kelly and Bruce with an adorable Valentine’s Day plot, will the reluctant single parents give love a second chance?

Welcome back to Matrimony Valley where florist Kelly Nelson is in charge of coordinating the town’s most unique wedding yet. She has a plan...and a plan b,c, and d.
Bruce is still numb after the death of his wife two years ago. But his daughter keeps him going, and in an attempt to spend quality time with her, they arrive in Matrimony Valley a week prior to the wedding in which Bruce is best man and Carly is the flower girl.
Kelly and Bruce rub some raw wounds in each other at first. Kelly is forthright, speaking truth when Bruce is sometimes not ready to hear it. AndBruce is so far buried in his grief, he often doesn’t focus enough on the here and now.
And of the cuteness of each of their daughters!! When put together, it’s double the adorable (and double the trouble).
Allie Pleiter shines a spotlight on the difficulties, challenges, and sorrow that come with losing a spouse too soon while offering glimpses of hope and promise of coming out on the other side of grief.
As the residents of the valley pull together to save a wedding that has every challenge thrown at it, including a winter storm and a persnickety wedding feature writer, two little matchmakers set their sights on making their parents happy. With all of that help, Bruce and Kelly just might discover that God is indeed the God of second chances.

I love Allie's Matrimony Valley series! Kelly and Bruce are some of my favorite new characters with their depth and realistic qualities. Such a fun cute book!
Take two grief-ridden parents, give them two match-making daughters, plop them in Matrimony Valley in the midst of preparations for the valley's first ever elk wedding, stir in a heaping helping of God's restorative power, and you have the recipe for Allie Pleiter's Snowbound with the Best Man.
Florist Kelly Nelson has just taken over wedding planner duties from Mayor Jean, who is currently on injured reserve after a bad ankle sprain. A lot is riding on this highly unusual wedding, not the least of which is the publicity they are set to get from Southeastern Nuptials Magazine. A glowing feature on this wedding could make or break the town's fledgling wedding venue focus. She has too much on her plate to throw in a widowed best man and his motherless daughter who are supposed to be "helping" her, at the bride's behest.
Bruce Lohan dreads weddings. All that joy and happiness only serves to point out how empty his life has been since his wife died from her cancer. If not for his daughter, Carly, he might have retreated so far within himself he'd never find his way out. As it is, she keeps him among the living, and won't let him "go away" even in his mind for very long. Meeting Kelly and her daughter, Lulu, proves just the distraction that Carly needs, until Carly and Lulu decide that what they REALLY want is to be sisters. Can Bruce and Kelly nip that idea in the bud? Do they really want to?
This story, more than any other Love Inspired title I've read, held untapped wells of emotion. Both main characters had suffered the death of a spouse - Kelly to a plane crash, and Bruce to cancer. Do they have the courage to step into another relationship, especially when it's not just their hearts on the line? Two little girls dream of being sisters. Can their parents step out in faith, and let everything else go by the wayside, to gain a second chance that neither saw coming?
If you haven't read an Allie Pleiter book, you're in for a treat. This story had so many fun details, and situations that I kept turning pages, just to see what the girls would get into next. And an elk wedding? For a game warden? How perfect is that? This is the second book in Pleiter's Matrimony Valley series, and I'm excited to see that book three is in the works. I definitely recommend!
I received this book from the author, but the opinions in the review are all mine.
Wonderful uplifting story about a second chance at happiness. I enjoyed this book as I am struggling with my own anger at God over my life taking a turn I am struggling to accept and can relate to the hero of this story and hope one day I too will get through the fog of my anger and bitterness to find a new joy.
Spoilers alert: the rest of my review gives some spoilers.
Two widows with young daughters are determined to not even try at love after losing the people they had pledged their lives to. Kelly has an 8 year old daughter and runs a florist shop in the latest book set in Matrimony Valley. Bruce has a 6 year old daughter and flies helicopters and is just in town for a vacation before acting as best man for his friends wedding. Kelly has held strong to her faith and it has guided her through losing her husband to an accident but has convinced herself she has already had one perfect love and marriage and doesn't want to tempt fate by trying again especially with another pilot. Bruce after losing his wife to cancer is still too angry with God and his faith has faltered and the idea of another relationship hasn't even really crossed his mind. When a snowstorm threatens the wedding the whole town must pull together to pull it off and in the midst of this their two precocious daughter's decide they want to be a family and that their parents make each other happy so they decide to play match maker. Will the storm win or will this winter wedding and two little matchmakers bring together more than just the bride and groom.

Snowbound with the Best Man is another winner from Allie Pleiter! It's the second book in the Matrimony Valley series, but stands alone great. It's a story full of heart and second chances featuring two little girls set on matchmaking their parents.
Kelly and Bruce have both suffered devastating losses and are doing their very best coping with their grief. But it's hard, so hard. Bruce is numb to everything, feeling like a zombie moving through life. He's isolated himself from God and his church while Kelly's done the opposite and has surrounded herself with God, friends, and her church. They have so much in common, but are complete opposites in many ways too. They're great characters who I loved getting to know and watch grow throughout the story. And their little girls were so adorable.
I enjoyed being back in the charming town of Matrimony Valley. It's such an inviting town full of friendly residents and cute “matrimony” themed businesses. It's the perfect small town setting.
I highly recommend Snowbound with the Best Man to anyone who enjoys sweet, inspirational romances. I can't wait for the next book!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.
Snowbound with the Best Man is an adorable book about two widows who get to pull off an amazing, but unusual wedding and fall in love at the same time. The entire town is called Matrimony Valley and are committed to trying to give couples the best wedding.
Florist, widow and mother, Kelly Nelson, gets the job of wedding coordinator for a rather unusual wedding. She is thrilled with the coverage she has lined up with a magazine that could really increase their wedding requests.
Bruce is the best man who has come to the wedding a week early so he can have a vacation with his daughter. Bruce is still deep in grief over the loss of his wife. But when Bruce's daughter and Kelly's daughter meet, they are the best of friends. Things get a little crazy when too much snow comes and two little girls decide to do some matchmaking between Kelly and Bruce.
Snowbound with the Best Man is full of characters that make you smile. Both Kelly and Bruce develop nicely through the book and the ending is just perfect. I am thankful for the opportunity to read and provide my feedback on this adorable book.
This story is about Kelly, her daughter Lulu, Bruce and his daughter Carly. It is a wedding town, that is what the town folk are promoting it as. Bruce the best man and Carly the flower girl are in town a few days early to enjoy some time together and Kelly the town florist is helping to organize the wedding with the "help" of her daughter Lulu, the two girls take an instant liking to each other and want their parents to "like" each other as well. Two match making girls, a wedding, and an ice storm show Kelly and Bruce what is really important! Remember you only need 'A bride, a groom, love and God' for a relationship to work!

Two little girls become instant friends and try there hand at match making when it back fires they decided to take there orneriness to a whole new level. Can they get away with it while there parents work together to make a wedding happen without another hitch?
I loved how the author uses to young girls with so much personality in this story. I really also enjoyed how the story felt more realistic then fiction. The relationship between Kelly and Bruce seemed natural as well, however at the end it did seem a little rushed. This book is a good clean read and suitable for all ages. I really enjoyed this quick read over all.
What a cute book. Who doesn’t enjoy light reading that includes a wedding, a snowstorm, and a romance?! As well as two of the cutest little girls you can imagine.
Author Allie Pleiter did a great job of putting me right in Matrimony Valley. I could see the town and it’s beautiful. I loved the people of the valley. So warm and friendly. And they’re sure to try matchmaking, making for some extra fun. You will smile and be so glad you visited Matrimony Valley.
I received a complimentary copy of this book but was not required to leave a review.
I really enjoyed the story of Bruce and and Kelly and their young daughters. Carly and LuLu really hit it off and wants to be sisters. They become matchmakers. Kelly is trying to put a wedding together and the best man comes early. The snow comes so will the wedding happen? I am loving the Matrimony Valley series, I could really see both of the books in the series would make good Hallmark movies. The children in both books really brings so much to the story. I am looking forward to reading the more in this series. The characters are so real.
Snowbound With The Best Man by Allie Pleiter. Florist Kelly Nelson is in charge of a big wedding in Matrimony Valley. The best man, Bruce Loham, and his daughter, Carly, came early to enjoy the time there, together. Carly meets Lulu who is Kelly's daughter and they are about the same age and become best friends and want their parents to get together. They try lots of things to get them together. Because Bruce and Kelly see a lot of each other and things happen. A very good read. Romance during a winter storm and a wedding.
Snowbound with the Best Man is the second book in the Matrimony Valley series. While each book takes place in the same place, they are stand alones as much as they are series books. In this book, florist Kelly and best man Bruce have been targeted by pint-sized matchmakers Carly and Lulu as they prepare for the valley's first elk wedding. If you like wedding stories where lots goes wrong, this is a great book for you. If you like romance stories, this is also a great book for you.
This book is the second book in the Matrimony Valley series. I enjoyed getting to know Kelly the local florist as she prepared for the next exceptional wedding while worrying about what the magazine article would end up saying about Matrimony Valley. While she was in the middle of plans A, B and C, there was matchmaking going on for her. Read about her story as it get entangled with the best man. Enjoyed this story and can't wait to see what will be in store for Matrimony Valley next.
Cute story about 2 people who have experienced loss and 2 matchmaking little girls determined to create a new family. I found it interesting to see the juxtaposition of these two adults where one has made the choice to move forward in life in spite of the pain and grief while the other has made the choice (whether consciously or not) to live in the pain and grief for fear moving forward is wrong and dishonors the one lost.
Snowbound with the Best Man by Allie Pleiter is the second book in the Matrimony Valley series. This book is so kind and sweet. It shows you grief and love. I thoroughly enjoyed my insight into Lucas, Kelly, Carly and Lulu.
Allie took two broken families and placed them back together in this one. It is literally heartwarming.
Never thought I would ever read a romance. This is faith-based romance and I enjoyed it much more than I ever believed I could. If Allie Pleiter's other books are as entertaining as this one, I'll be reading more.
This was a really cute book. I just loved the little girls - Carly and Lulu - the little matchmakers. It took their parents, Kelly and Bruce, a while to see what everybody in town already knew - that they were destined for each other.
Not only am I new to Matrimony Valley, even though this is the second book, but I am also new to Allie Pleiter's wonderful Love Inspired books. But after reading Snowbound With The Best Man I won't stay a newbie for long. I really enjoyed this sweet heartwarming tale of family and romance.
There were a few poignant moments as well as the hero and heroine help each other, and especially their precocious daughters, deal with the losses they have faced and move into the possibility of a future together.
I read Snowbound With The Best Man in the hottest part of summer and I have to say that it was fun taking some time out with a cool story that included some snowflakes. Check it out for yourself...
