Jesus Worked Miracles

Rate this book
When Jesus was alive, He performed miracles to show He was the son of God. This reverent picture book introduces children to the stories of lepers healed, the dead raised, and, ultimately, the miraculous Resurrection of our Lord. Although these events took place thousands of years ago, Jesus still works miracles today in the lives of those who have faith in Him.

Today is Christmas Day. It is a time for me to reflect upon the Savior. This book was perfect for today. It focused on the Savior's life, instead of just His birth.

This book is beautifully illustrated. It brings the stories of Jesus to life for children. Many of the miracles of Jesus are discussed, as well as the miracle of His birth and resurrection.

I wish that my children were small enough to hold them on my lap and share this book with them. Regardless, I will purchase it for my collection to share with children who are important to me.

This book is a fun way to introduce your kids to the many miracles that Jesus Christ performed while he was here on Earth. Nearly each page has a different story about one of those miracles and the very basics about how it happened. This book could be used on its own for little kids and as a great introduction to these miracles for kids who are a bit older. One of my youngest sons said "I think it's great! I like it because it had a lot of great stories."

When I first got the book in the mail, my younger two took off with it right away, and I had to go search it out again so I could look at it. My boys love reading, and love talking about what they've learned in the books they have read, so this is a great book to add to their collection.

There are some powerful truths taught in it! Jesus is different and special and also the Son of God and our Savior. It goes through His miracles and ministry in a simple way, and the illustrations are lovely. I like the part that talks about how the people knew Jesus could do anything and that made some people angry--that is something we can all relate to, no matter how unfair it seems. And the book provides hope in Christ in happily explaining his resurrection and many gifts to us. He works miracles still!

3 1/2. The text is quite kid-friendly, but still doctrinally sound. It tells the stories of the Savior’s miracles, ending with the Resurrection.
