Raise the temperature this spring with a collection of sexy contemporary romances from Serenity Woods, the bestselling author of the Three Wise Men Box Set (USA Today bestseller list November 2016.)
Spring Fever (Serenity’s Seasonal Box Sets: 1)
As Deep as the Ocean (Blue Penguin Bay Book 1) When Mac asks Fred to marry him, he tells her it’s strictly business, just a way to access her father’s inheritance so they can save the vineyard. But what will happen when they fall in love?
An Uncommon Sense (Sensual Healing Book 1) The last thing that doctor-turned-medium Ash Rutherford needs is to fall for a skeptic. But one mistaken flash of Grace’s sexy underwear sparks an instant attraction neither of them can deny.
Mr. Insatiable (Serenity’s Standalones Book 5) Enya’s desperate to discover why her best friend Kit has been labelled insatiable in the bedroom. A one-night stand soon turns into a fling, and it leaves them both wanting more. But what will happen when Kit learns the whole truth about her past?
USA Today bestselling author Serenity Woods writes feel-good romances full of friends, family, and falling in love. Most of her stories are set in Godzone, aka Aotearoa New Zealand, where she lives.
Spring Fever includes three of Serenity Woods stories. Different stories with very different characters and overall themes. Of the three there should be something for everyone. As Deep as the Ocean (Blue Penguin Bay Book 1) is my personal favorite of the three. The back story of the inheritance in New Zealand, the relationship between the three sisters and the love interest between Winifred and Mac are all reading worthy. The characters are well-developed with traits that I admire. The vivid descriptions of New Zealand as well as the emotional character driven story made this a delightful read. A more recent book with depth that shows the impressive growth of this author. (5 Stars) An Uncommon Sense (Sensual Healing Book 1) is an opposite attraction story. Science teacher faces off with a clairvoyant, former doctor. What stood out to me is the switch of roles here, where usually a male portrays the logical one, this time the skeptic is a woman. I liked this change-up. It is not as deep of a story as the first. The level of steaminess is notch up a level too. (3.5 Stars) The third book, Mr. Insatiable, is an amusing story of “research” with or is that on a friend. It is a “friends to lovers” trope. Just why is friend Kit considered to have such an insatiable reputation by the women he dates? A fun night of research leads to much more serious thoughts and feelings. 4 Flirty Stars) Overall the anthology 4 Stars
As Deep as the Ocean. Three sisters who were cheated out of their inheritance go to New Zealand to recover it. Blue Penguin Bay estate consists of a vineyard, B&B and restaurant and each sister plans to be responsible and make a success of these businesses. Without the vineyard being a success though the other two businesses will fail. Winifred Cartwright has read up on viniculture but is far from being an expert, Mac however is and he informs the sisters that a large investment in new machinery and barrels is required, money that the estate doesn't have........ but there is a further inheritance which comes to each of the sisters on their marriage!
An Uncommon Sense. An unusual story in that Ash is a clairvoyant (who used to be a doctor) and Grace is a science teacher and closet writer of erotic novels (who doesn't believe in anything that cannot be proven). Not a match made in heaven and yet there is hot chemistry between them. Note: lots of sex and strong language.
Mr Insatiable. Kit and Enya have been best friends for years but because she is his business partner and friend Tristan’s kid sister there has never been anything more between them, despite a strong underlying attraction. All that changes at Tristan’s wedding, after Enya’s boyfriend has betrayed her in the worst possible way, leaving her feeling defective. Kit talks her into bed and a one night stand; however the fireworks between them means that one night is never going to be enough but Enya has a secret, which she knows will tear them apart. A good erotic romance.
Another Serenity Woods Box Set that I love! It contains 3 stories “Uncommon Sense”, “Mr. Insatiable” & “As Deep as the Ocean”. I can truthfully say that they are all very good romance stories all different! One thing that you’ll remember about Serenity is she will have you laughing out loud, giggling & even snickering! Plus, probably a few tears, Happy, I hope! After reading this I emailed friends & Family about it so, you know I am recommending this set of three great books! I voluntarily read and reviewed honestly an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Surprise #1: These are three unrelated stories. The first two, at least, include teasers to the next books in their series which (surprise!) one must purchase, not provided free of charge. I understand free books are enticements to purchase, but to me, setting me up by a teaser in the free book is not nice. If I really like the book I will give it 4 or 5 stars, a good review, abd put the author on my "worth purchasing" list.
Surprise #2: too much attention to sex as a motivator and plot device. These are signs of shallow characters and/or lazy writing.
3 individual books in one box set. All were well written, with a few minor errors. All 3 were HEA standalone books. All in all I enjoyed reading these from an author I hadn't read previously and will be looking for more of her books in the future.
Three stories in one, this is hard to beat. Serenity Woods is so talented and when she writes heat, it has all the scorch with none of the crude that you find in some romances. I really enjoyed this set.
This collection was just an excuse to write hot & steamy sex scenes. The plot appeared to be how the author could write more hot and steamy sex scenes that were mediocre, at best. I am very disappointed I spent so much time trying to read this collection, hoping it would get better. It didn't.
This box set was very good as the stories were all good & well written. They held your interest. They weree emotional the last one was very sad in parts and had you wondering how it would end.No cliffhangers.
Each of these three stories was enjoyable and entertaining. The second one, An Uncommon Sense, was actually my favorite. The unusual occupation of Ash was fascinating. However they were all good.
Well done funny, steamy, romantic stories from that I could not stop reading until the very end. The characters are strong, smart, and sexy both male and female.
The three books in this set are blazing with sexual tension that leads to erotic relationships. Sadly, the titles escape me, but the books are pretty good.
