The world is nothing like it seems. Eric Ray knows this now, especially as he’s thrust into the inner workings of a secret society. As he rushes to save the woman he’s come to love, Eric realizes that those who are the kindest can often be the most nefarious. Samantha Greene thought she’d finally managed to let her identity as a time traveler slip away. Now, she is a fisherman’s wife, living on the Irish coast at the turn of the eighteenth century with her new baby, husband, and brother-in-law. Fate waits for no one, though, and she soon finds herself tied up in another adventure with the Templar Knights. Vowing to never be pulled into the fray like she was before, Sam realizes that they’ve been called upon for a reason. Their villain, Thomas Randall, wants them for something. To discover the truth, she’ll have to set sail with more pirates and travel to a land she’s yet to see. With her family by her side and a hope for a brighter future in her heart, Sam hopes this fight will finally be the end of it all. Will it, though?

"She's more than that. I've spent enough time among demons to recognize an angel when I see one." this is the ministry of super fanbase for callahan & abella speaking, what can i do for you? there wasn't a moment since meeting cal that i didn't praise him or envision him with abella. well, call me the manifestation queen cause we have officially kicked mark out and have let the real men enter. even if i lose any and every interest about the plot in the next and final book, i know i'll have these two to hold on to because they are my reason of breathing rn. every scene with them is read with hyper fixation and focus and that is the only correct way to do so. a lot of positive feedback for this one, to my surprise. despite this taking an unnecessary turn, one of dragging out the storyline & making randall a really OP villain because of miscommunication and complete idiocy, i enjoyed this turn of events more than i anticipated even though i was sceptical about tristan's expected ending from the moment i smelled it out in the last book. this book really gave us a much needed, realistic answer to how we are going to defeat randall and what's left is it coming to fruition in the final book. egyptian lore, anubis dogs of the year and curses have always been my favourite since watching tutensteine as a kid and this book explored them in a way i was kicking my feet and singing praises to Ra&Isis once again. samantha remains so fabulous i'm scared of jinxing her. tristan is at a position of either winning mmc of the century or completely ruining the wonder of a character he is, stay tuned. randall has exhausted me with how powerful he is but this book revived my interest in seeing him as dead as it can get. let's not forget about the present which has introduced a really realistic and much loved turn of events. i thoroughly enjoyed how the author doesn't try to force a specific side to the reader but really shows you both the good and corruption of every side and let's you choose. i'm not quite certain of how we are going to really fix the present day hiatus in one book and i'm preparing myself for the utmost rushed solution but hey! at least eric and rebecca win best couple of modern times.
FREEEEEEDOM! Most of the irritating bits from the last books have improved or are virtually gone. The beginning "present day" chapters weren't quite as long yet were far more interesting than those of the other books; no more dragging on and boring yourself to death. As it was in book four, character relationships are still stabilized and we go right into the good stuff with dooooom, doooooooooom! Plus, other than the chapters from the future, the entirety of the book is written from Sam's perspective. It's kinda ehhh that she kept handing off her baby to Abella or whoever to go be a hero half the time, but whatever, do your thing momma!
Plus, there were hardly any editing errors in the kindle version, bless them.
I will say, we're now entering into a fairly predictable storyline at times, like some of the same things just keep happening over and over but in different places and scenarios around the world (kinda like in Harry Potter, where we KNOW Voldemort is going to get his hands on Harry again at the end of the year, but then be driven off again only to repeat it again the next school year). Why do they keep acting surprised that he's after the blood of another God?! So frustrating.
Randall tricked you again? You shoulda checked for traps mate. I mean...duh. I feel like so many of the problems they get into is because they're constantly letting themselves be caught up in a false sense of security and that is so, so frustrating. Stop being so trusting you adorable dolts! Torture them to the brink of death to make sure it's legit. Torture everyone for good measure, to appease me the book gods...of course. Moron pirate lovers. <3
I keep coming back for more, because the writing is that good. What hooked me (\o/ ARRRen't pirate puns great?!) since the very first book was Kamery Solomon's gift for detail and invoking the senses. You can hear, smell, see, feel EVERYTHING. The worldbuilding is well researched and includes the tiniest of details that makes it feel all the more real, playing out like movie scenes. Sweet, delicious immersion.
I am 100% invested. I want to know, NEED TO KNOW, what happens next. So many crazy things happened in Buried Away, my heart almost shattered a few times. I mean, this has happened in every book of this saga, BUT STILL. SHATTERED I SAY. This is the first time I'll have to wait for the next book and it's maddening. TRISTAN, YOU FOOL! Blood of the Gods be damned.
This series is intriguing with bits of history sprinkled among the story. Samantha, our heroine, a modern day girl sucked back in time, has made a life for herself with her dashing pirate/Templar husband, Tristan and her small son, Michael, in eighteenth century Ireland. Mark, a doctor and her best friend, an accidental tourist trapped in the past treats the poor unfortunate is Paris but longs for his modern world. Each has settled in to their ‘new’ time, working for/with the Knights Templar. But Thomas Randal, a villian who will stop at nothing to get what he wants, has other plans! Follow our friends through Paris, the Mediterranean and up the mighty Nile River as they fight to stop him. Kamery has blended the thoroughly modern woman and her dashing love into an unforgettable love story! You can hear the bustle of the market and the chaos of the battles. You can easily imagine the beauty of Ancient Egypt with its Valley of the Kings and its fertile Nile River. Add a dash of fantasy and you have another story you don’t want to end! This is just the latest in the series for these characters and encourage you to read them all! I was given a free copy and asked to leave an honest review.
This is a great book; this is the fifth book in the Swept Away series written by Kamery Solomon. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
This is yet another fabulous series of adventures, romance, and some jaw-dropping plot twists. I eagerly await the next novel to see what the future holds... for those in the present and in the past.
I love these books and especially the parts with Sam and Tristan. However, I had to give this one four stars because it's just getting to be too drawn out. I have LOVED this series and constantly recommend it, but it's time for it to wrap up. I started this book full of excitement to see how it all turned out, only to be left with another cliffhanger waiting for the next one. I also enjoy the parts that are in the past better than the present and it took awhile to get back to that this time. Here's to hoping the next one will be out soon!
We're closing towards the end of the story, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. Now that Tristan is equal with Randall, these two characters will face the final battle in the next book.
Meanwhile, I'm also eager to find out the present-time story. How will the team help in the conflict between the black knight and the Templar? On the romance side, I hope that Eric and Mark may have their happy ending and Cal will be with Abella!
Once again we are captivated by this story telling. I was not sure where we were going with this story....maybe another chase after Randall....would it be the same story with a different location? Just the same outcome?? It was not!! It has taken a very different turn of events for both times in this story. This was a fantastic read!!
Loved the full spread of events and history and mystery and actions. I enjoy the development of characters. I hope for more romance for Sam and Tristan....and calm for Mark back in the future. Abella needs a man. Will Cal be him? And did they really kill Randall? Can’t wait for the next installment!
Keeps on dragging you into the tale and wanting to read the next and the next.
The short summary says it all. I want the next one now! Really interesting to see how she weaves real objects and history into such a tale. One could almost imagine it being real.
It is still interesting and unique but I am really tired of the cliffhanger endings. I’m one who always wants more but this is starting to get ridiculous.
I will never tire of these characters and their adventures! Another masterpiece! I am just in awe of this series! I love every moment of every book and this one was by far the most epic! As all the books begin, we start in the present. Eric has discovered more secrets plaguing the current world and fights to keep those he loves safe before an old friend they never thought they would see again returns. We then flash to the past where Samantha and Tristan are new parents to their son Michael. But unfortunately not all good things last and a vile enemy has escaped the Templar and now threatens Sam and Tristan's happiness. It's back to the seas with pirating, treasure, and good ole fashioned sword fighting! The heroes are reunited with old friends as Kamery Solomon takes readers to new destinations and we get to see a different brand of pirates from history! I am so excited to continue this fabulous series in book 6!
An epic saga of time travel, pirates, Templars and treasure. Each book brings about a new adventure while Samantha and friends attempt to rid the world of Randall. In their time the treasure left behind contains blood of the gods which upon consumption has life altering qualities. Randall has taken the blood and craves even more, it is their quest to stop him. Because this series is a continuing story it is important to read each book in order and follow the group in the past and those in the present. It's magical and impressive to read as Solomon must have done many hours of research on the past. Truly an exciting read that kept me coming back for more. I received an early copy and wrote this review voluntarily.
I read this book when it first came out, but have just re- read it to catch up as I move on to the next in the series. This story has you really involved in it and what is going to happen right from the get go. The characters are abrasive, courageous and funny. The storyline is really compelling and interesting, making you wonder how will the protagonists ever survive the villain. I love how the author has written this in such a way that you can really feel what the setting is like and you become really drawn in with who the characters are. I recommend you read it, as my words cannot describe what a great book it is!
Another exciting book in the swept away saga. I was riveted from the very beginning and could not put it down. It left me wanting more and I eagerly await the next book!
I will never tire of this series of books! Each one had had me absolutely hooked, reading everywhere I go! A perfect balance or romance, drama and mystery, I was sad to finish this book!
