Lincoln S. Farish

7 books22 followers
Lincoln has been described in many different ways by a lot of different people, with the common, yet unscientific, consensus being "insane." He is an Army Reservist who has had the pleasure of visiting the Middle East five times so far. Currently residing in the Commonwealth of Virginia with his lovely wife, little girl, and Calvin the Helper Dog. Interesting tidbit; Calvin the Helper Dog assists with Lincoln's writing, but at a price; snacks. When not doing obscure jobs for the Government or shadowy corporations he works at honing his craft and defeating the neighborhood ninjas.

Good solid issue.
I liked the poem by Banjo Patersen. I didn't even realize that was a thing before, so now I need to go learn about this guy.
Robert E. Howard's Conan is an evergreen favorite for me, and "The Dwindling Years" was a surprisingly interesting piece of thoughtful sci-fi by Lester Del Rey.

The gem, however, was Lincoln S. Farish's "Jersey Devil". The idea of cybernetically-enhanced trash-talking teenagers seems a very "now" concept. I hope there's more to come, because this story really made me want a follow up!

I was hoping to get another entry from Jack London, but I guess they cut that for space. That's ok - I've gone and gotten it from kobo anyhow :D
