It is rare to find Indian historical romances that give us a glimpse into the majestic kings and kingdoms of ancient India. Sharvani, the hill princess, and Brihadrath the king of Sindh make a potent couple. I loved Sharvari, the betrayed, defeated yet brave princess who offers herself to the king in exchange for the freedom of her people. But her place is not in his harem but beside him as his wife and Brihadrath realize it soon. But will their life together be without problems? The author weaves a magnificent tale of intrigue, treachery, and passion with ease. A very good read, that too from someone who is a novice in this genre.
An engaging tale of revenge, deceit, love and redemption. Set in the era of ancient India, the author takes us into a world of majestic kings, queen, castle and kingdoms, but the human failings never change. I loved the characterization of Sharvari, who is brave, courageous and loyal. The narration is fluent making the book a page turner. A recommended read.

It was really fascinating to read a book reminding the past Indian historical romantic tales. I relate the character of arkasen is much or like kattappa in bahubali movie, but what he has done to sharvari is really not good though it demanded his rightful duties and I never expected devdatt is behind all this. And the princess sharvari led a great ordeal but hopefully ended with contentment.
