This was a sweet little addition to the Worthington series, featuring Louisa's sister by marriage Lady Lucinda Hughlot and Gerald, Earl Elliot.
Lucinda is finally getting her London season thanks to Louisa and Rothwell being able to convince the dowager duchess that she must sponsor her - the dowager has not been in town since her husband's death and has avoided returning due to the scandals her late husband caused. She informs Lucinda that she has spoken to her dear friend the Marchioness of Quorndon and they have decided that her son the Marquess and Lucinda will be a perfect match. Lucinda is dismayed, she wanted to choose her own husband and dreamt of a love match. But she agrees to meet the Marquess to keep the peace.
Gerald has not had much success in his quest for a bride, he seems to only notice a woman once she has become attached to another man. Far from heartbroken, he decides that this is the season that he will find the perfect woman. While visiting his club he sees Quorndon and learns that he will probably be married soon to Lucinda, as his mother believes they will be a good match, their conversation is overheard by Rothwell, who immediately asks Gerald to watch out for his sister. Gerald agrees thinking that it will give him a chance to meet potential brides.
When Lucinda meets Gerald, she is smitten, he is perfect for her! But she has promised to meet Quorndon and hopes that he inspires the same level of interest. He does not and now Lucinda has to find a way out of this arrangement. As luck would have it she meets the perfect woman for Quorndon in the form of Miss. Arabella Marlowe - who is just as interested in him as he is in her. She suggests an outing and invites Gerald along. It is clear that Arabella and Quorndon are a perfect match, but Gerald does seem to see that Lucinda is his perfect mate as well.
As the weeks pass and they spend more time together, she knows that she is in love with him, but has no idea what his feelings are or how to find out, but when her mother informs her that she will be announcing her betrothal to Quarndon in a week, she will have to gather up all her courage and ask him or lose the one man she may not be able to live without.
Even when their true feelings are revealed, they will still have to overcome their mother's disapproval before they can have their HEA.
I thought this was a very sweet story and I loved Lucinda and Gerald - but I will admit that I thought Gerald was dumber than a box of rocks more than once and more than a little dense. He was perfectly charming and I enjoyed his interactions with Lucinda, but it was like he refused to see what was right in front of him - this was not your typical hero denial - he really came across as obtuse and a little slow on the uptake. However, he manages to pull his head out of his butt and realize that Lucinda is the woman he has always wanted before it is too late. I got a kick out of his mother and how well she played him :) This was well written, fast paced, easy to read story with a little bit of steam at the end and not a whole lot of drama. I really enjoyed the book and would be happy to recommend, it is part of the Worthington series, but it could be read as a stand alone with no problems at all.

Fun Regency romance!
A most enjoyable novella that focuses on Gerald, Earl Elliott. We've met him as the secondary character in previous Worthington novels.
Lady Lucinda Hughlot, sister to Lord Elliott's friend the Duke of Rothwell, is to have a season, not that her mother agrees or wants her to for various reasons. Elliott falls in with Rothwell's request to keep an eye on Lucinda and watch out for any suitors not up to snuff. Of course you don't have to be a soothsayer to guess what happens. The getting to the happening though is rather fun. Lucinda is quite a talented woman and Elliott finds himself in an unexpected position.
What no-one knows is that Lucinda's mother has already made plans for whom Lucinda should marry, the Marquis of Quorndon, a friend's son. I rather like Quorndon, even more so when Lucinda lends him a hand towards a different result.
Thankfully Lucinda is not only able to weave her way through her problems, but she has plans to assist with her newly acquired debutante friend's problems as well. No down trodden daughter our Lucinda, rather a managing young woman with a mind of her own--fortunately!
Meanwhile Elliot's mother is doing all she can to get her son married. When we later discover the lengths she's gone to its all rather hilarious.

Gerald, Earl Elliott, has decided this is the season he will hopefully find a bride. In the past, he has only seemed to want the women after they became unavailable. This time Elliott determines to find a good one before she gets snapped up by someone else. When the Duke of Rothwell, a good friend, asks Elliott to help him with his sister, Lucinda's, comeout, that only serves to aid him in his endeavors. Attending balls to help keep an eye on Lucinda will give Elliott a chance to be around other eligible young ladies.
Lucinda has been looking forward to her first Season. She becomes less excited, however, when her mother tries to pair her off with the Marquis of Quorndon before it has even begun. Lucinda wants to find her own husband. Elliott seems like he'd make a prime candidate, but finding out if he is the one might be a challenge. And it will certainly be a trial considering her mother's low opinion of him.
Although I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU by author Ella Quinn is a novella, I enjoyed it very much. I do feel it was a little rushed toward the end, but I know getting to the point of HEA must be tough since it doesn't have the development time a novel would have. However, I felt that Lucinda and Elliott's story was pretty believable. Lucinda is a smart and determined young lady. She knows what she wants early on. Elliott was a little slower on the draw. He has this wrong-headed idea of what love is and how he'll just know when he finds the one. Boy, is he wrong. It took him a little bit to see what was right in front of his eyes, but that only made I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU all the more entertaining. Fans of Ms. Quinn's WORTHINGTONS series won't want to miss it.

Poor Gerald, so oblivious and so smitten; he was so cute! And I loved Quorndon in all his foppishness; he was wrong for Lucinda but so very right for another – who was also a most lovely young lady. Ella Quinn’s knowledge of the Regency era and her superb descriptions made me feel as if I were attending my first Season as well! I’LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU is a quick read, everything flows seamlessly; it was a real pleasure to read from beginning to end!

This is the 5.5 book in the series, it could easily be read on its own as a delightful long novella but if like me you love the Worthington’s you love this as Rothwell & Louisa feature quite a lot, it takes place the year following their marriage. I also liked that there were cameo appearances from some of the characters from the Marriage game series. I read the book in a sitting & thoroughly enjoyed it. The pace is very good, the characters are well fleshed & likeable. There's no intrigue no kidnapping just some manipulative mothers & a lovely romance Elliott & Lucinda are perfect for each other but Elliott is slow to realise where his heart lies. A warm hearted captivating read.

Entertaining from beginning to end, this latest story in the Worthingtons saga brings Lady Lucinda and Gerald, Earl Elliott together in an unexpected way! Happy to finally be having her season, Lucinda is not pleased when her mother tries to arrange a marriage for her with a Marquis. Fortunately her brother has asked his friend Gerald to watch out for his sister during her London season. Since he is looking for a match himself, it seems the perfect solution. Not! His affection for her grows as he is around her and it seems she is to marry another! What to do? Well Lucinda has it under control when she decides to find a suitable match for the Marquis instead of her! You see she is falling for Elliott and hopes all will work out for them, that is if her mother does not ruin everything!

Lady Lucinda Hughlot is thrilled her season, but her mother has her own ideas and a match with Marquis of Quorndon is her choice. Lucinda wants to enjoy her first Season and she’s less than thrilled with her mother’s choice, after all she in love with Gerald. Lucinda comes up with a plan and set out to find Quorndon a wife worthy of him and hopefully make Gerald realize the woman whose perfect for him has been right in front of him the whole time. Gerald in the market and looking for a wife of his own so he’s happy to watch out for Lucinda at the balls and parties. The more he’s around Lucinda he realizes she’s the one he wants to marry, but Lucinda is set to marry another. A fun story to read, I loved the characters and the story line. This my honest opinions is resolved to build after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.

When I saw a book by Ella Quinn up for request on Netgalley, I couldn't resist requesting it. I have to admit that so far I've only read one other, but getting more in the series has been high on my list of books to read. This is a novella, rather than a full-length novel, but it fits into The Worthington's series. You don't need to have read the other books in the series to enjoy this one.
I really liked the idea behind this story. Earl Elliot is keen to find a wife. He seems to only notice women might be of interest when it's to late and they've already met and fallen in love with someone else. He's concerned that he might not recognise the woman who he should marry until it's too late. He has also been asked to keep an eye on his friend, the Duke of Rothwell's younger sister.
Lucinda is having her first season in London. She's keen to find a husband, but not necessarily the one that her mother has chosen for her. Instead, she finds herself interested in her brother's friend Earl Elliot.
I really liked the way that Lucinda quickly decided that she was interested in Elliot, but it took him a while longer to realise that she might be the one. This was really quite a sweet story and I really enjoyed it. It may have only been a novella, but it was still satisfying and I'm still keen to read other books in the series.

This is a sweet romance with very engaging characters in Lucinda and Elliot. Lucinda wants to marry for love but her mother has different ideas as to who would make a suitable match. Elliot is looking for a bride but wants one of his choosing. Lucinda’s brother has asked Elliot to keep an eye out for Lucinda as she navigates her first season. Will the mothers get their way? Lucinda is very enterprising and has a solution of her own. This was an entertaining story that can be read in a day. I received a copy and have voluntarily reviewed it. This story has a slow build to the HEA with two characters that are entertaining and worthy of one another. There is another couple that finds true love through matchmaking on Lucinda’s part. There are excursions, balls, rides in the park, a few kisses, two weddings and a consummation. A fun regency romance that was entertaining to read.

I really enjoyed I'll Always Love You by Ella Quinn. The only problem I could see was that it was too short. Any story about the Worthington's and their extended family is an auto buy from me. I will definitely recommend this story.

I love Ella's books usually but this #5.5 of The Worthingtons was only a "nice" read.
The leads -Lucinda, the sister of the Duke of Rothwell, and Gerald, who is her brother's good friend. Her mother is kind of the pest or let us say overbearing, she wants to get her off the marriage marked ASAP because she already knows who the right husband will be. She doesn't give a damn about he daughters feelings. The girl wants to have her season, her mother doesn't want to go to London at all. Her sister in law is pregnant with her first child and is able to force Lucinda's mother to chaperone Lucinda.
Gerald always falls in love with women who are already or nearly engaged. Will it be different this time?
It was a nice and short novel but sometimes a big confusing in my opinion. The last quarter of the novel seemed rushed ...- the end didn't make me happy nor did the dialogues.

The leads -Lucinda, the sister of the Duke of Rothwell, and Gerald, who is her brother's good friend. Her mother is kind of the pest or let us say overbearing, she wants to get her off the marriage marked ASAP because she already knows who the right husband will be. She doesn't give a damn about he daughters feelings. The girl wants to have her season, her mother doesn't want to go to London at all. Her sister in law is pregnant with her first child and is able to force Lucinda's mother to chaperone Lucinda.
Gerald always falls in love with women who are already or nearly engaged. Will it be different this time?
It was a nice and short novel but sometimes a big confusing in my opinion. The last quarter of the novel seemed rushed ...- the end didn't make me happy nor did the dialogues.

Wonderful read
I won this book from Goodreads. This is a quick, wonderful read. Lucinda is excited to have her Season in London, but the excitement doesn't last long. Her mother informs her that she has already arranged a marriage for her. She hopes that the match is compatible but has her doubts. Meanwhile, her brother has arranged to have his friend Gerald Elliot looking out for her. He is determined to be married by the end of the season but ends up spending a lot of time with Lucinda. Lucinda is excited to be around Elliott but is also determined to find a suitable match for the guy her mom has arranged for her. Even though he is looking for a wife, Elliott ends up comparing all of the women to Lucinda. When he realizes that Lucinda is the one he has been searching for, he only hopes that she feels the same way. The only obstacle they have is trying to convince her mom, who is dead set against Lucinda marrying him. The ending was romantic and tied up the story nicely

I'm always happy to see a new Ella Quinn book, I'm a fan (ok, uberfan). Although I'll Always Love You is part of the Worthington series, it works well as a stand alone tale. We have a story about one of the secondary characters from other Worthington books. He's been in the background long enough. This man was so likeable that you wanted him to have his own happily ever after and Ms. Quinn delivers. I'll Always Love You will be on the shelves of your favorite bookseller on 11-27-2018.
Our hero is Gerald, Earl Elliott and he really is a hero. You can always count on Gerald. The Duke of Rothwell (It Started With A Kiss) askes his friend, Earl Elliott, to help watch over his sister during her first season on the marriage mart. Since Gerald is titled, handsome, and single, he's a favorite of ton hostesses. You can bet he'll be at every event and Rothwell's request should be a piece of cake (ha, ha). The Duke invites Gerald to tea so he can meet the lady he's agreed to keep out of trouble. Our Earl has decided being bummed about his bad luck with the ladies won't get him a wife. He's got to get back out there and keep his eyes open for the right woman.
Lady Lucinda Hughlot is our heroine. She's the Duke's younger sister and excited about having fun and dancing the night away at loads of balls. Her mother is still embarrassed about a scandal involving her late husband and doesn't want to go out in society. She comes up with an engagement to the son of a friend, conveniently sparing her being her daughter's chaperone. After meeting said Marquis, Lucinda knows they would never suit and she needs to find him another bride. Self-preservation is a powerful motive. Rothwell is not happy, at all, when he finds out what their mother has done. Mom finally agrees to a shortened season before the engagement is announced. Lucinda better get to it, pronto.
Tea that afternoon proves to be an eye opening experience. There's a warmth rather than sparks but it's enough to interest our couple in pursuing the feeling. Lucinda is floored to find Gerald is a real looker. He's tall with broad shoulders, mahogany hair, deep blue eyes and the cherry on top...a dimple. I'd be interested too. Gerald is taken aback by how lovely Lucinda is. She has glossy chestnut hair, sea green eyes, a perfect oval face and...she's smart. As they interact during the course of this journey, the attraction grows and Gerald is reluctant to get involved with his friend's sister, but he'd sure like to. Lucinda has no such qualms and sets her cap for the hot Earl.
A suitable lady is found for the Marquis and hey, he likes her! We get a reticent man, a determined lady, 2 engagements, one confrontation with the mothers and a Paris honeymoon. Lord Rothwell has a little sister Lucinda. We met him in book three, It Started With a Kiss- he is the hero and Lady Louisa (Grace’s younger sister) is the heroine. Lady Lucinda has not had a season, her father’s scandal having embarrassed her momma too much to go through a season for her daughter. Rothwell and Louisa convince his mother to give his little sister a season as she is her guardian. To avoid the gossiping tongues of the ton, Lucinda’s momma arranges for her to be engaged to Marques of Quorndon. For a girl who’s brother made a love match, a cold heartless arranged marriage just won’t do. Especially since her brother has a lot of bachelor friends to choose from. Lucinda does agree to meet Quorndon to make her momma happy. When Rothwell overhears his momma’s plan from Quorndon himself, he goes on the defense enlisting his friends to look out for his little sister when he is not around. The Earl of Elliot is on the hunt for a wife, has been since last season but things are getting serious. His momma is trying to redecorate his house. So when Rothwell asks for help he of course says yes. He will be at all the events of the Season anyway, he is determined this time to find a wife.
Lucinda meets Quorndon and well let’s just say for a man, his momma sure does control a lot of his opinions. A love match this will not be; a good match either from what she tell. So to scheming she goes, how to get him off of the idea of marrying her. She meets Miss Arabella Marlowe at Almicks and introduces them to each other. Sparks and interest fly, so she arranges several outings as a group of friends. Gerald knowing that she is up to something and having agreed to watch out for Lucinda goes along as well.
Lucinda is a gal who is determined to control her own life and destiny. Rothwell, her brother is determined to help her. Her strength to stand up to her momma and her cunning ways to get Quorndon off of her scent makes her a fun character to read about. Gerald was a bit well dull. Yes, he is the protector but how can he not tell that they are meant to be? I must admit, it annoyed me a little that he did not notice his feelings for Lucinda right away.
I adore this series, so much so that I binge read it last year. When this novella came out, I reached my grubby hands for it and that was that. Instead of sitting in the reading chair trying hard to ignore life and become engrossed in a historical romance, I was able to put it down and go about life for days. There is very little standing in their way which I guess I wasn’t expecting. The other books in the series had more action, more intense scenes, and more chemistry. It is a good read, and I would recommend it if you are already invested in the series.

How they meet: Lucinda meets Gerald when her brother invites him to tea. The brother learns his mother has plans to match Lucinda to man he thinks may be unsuitable and has asked his friend Gerald to help keep an eye out for her.
What happens: Gerald is looking for a wife, but has a pattern of not seeing the potential in a woman until it is too late. He is happy to help out his friend as he thinks that looking out for Lucinda will put him in proximity to eligible young women. When Lucinda finally meets the man her mother has selected for her to marry, she notes they have nothing in common and she couldn’t be less interested. She decides the best way to foil her mother is to find another woman for the other man to marry.
Verdict: I liked that the hero and heroine were a bit different than the norm. He was confident, except when it comes to women. The heroine knew what she wanted, but was patient rather than pushy about getting her way. The book lost a star when the first intimate scene was basically the same scenario as several other books in the series--very unimaginative and it did not feel consistent with how their story was progressing. Sadly this is another book in the series that did not meet the standards creatively of the previous series by this author. While some of the secondary characters, the hero, and the heroine have appeared in early books (or at least been mentioned), this one reads perfectly fine as a standalone.

Ella Quinn rejoins the Worthington series in her latest novel. I haven’t read all of the books in the series, but that didn’t hinder my enjoyment of this lovely story about the enduring nature of love. I found the story to be a quick read that contained delightful characters.
Lady Lucinda Hughlot is the sister of the current Duke of Rothwell. She is going to London for her first season and cannot wait to find the man she is going to marry. Lucinda wants to find a man that she loves. When she learns that her mother has planned an engagement without consulting her, Lucinda isn’t sure what to think. She has to take her own fate into her hands if she wants to find the perfect man.
Gerald, Earl Elliott, plans to find a wife this season. He has found women that he is interested in, but only recognizes his interest after they have married someone else. This season he is determined to recognize the woman that he is meant to marry before she finds another man. When his friend the Duke of Rothwell asks him for help watching out for Lucinda during the season, Elliott jumps at the chance. He can help a friend while searching for a bride.
Elliott doesn’t expect to find the company of Lucinda to be so delightful. When she shares her plan to find another match for her intended so that she is fee to marry the man she wants, Elliott questions who she has her sights set on and vows to make sure the man is worthy. Little does he know that Lucinda is intrigued by him.
I loved watching these two characters figure out what they felt about each other while navigating society and the Ton. They also have to combat disapproval from both their mothers. Ms. Quinn tells a story of romance and love that is meant to be.

When his good friend, the Duke of Rothwell, asks him to watch over his sister, Lady Lucinda Hughlot, Gerald thinks it will be a good way to see if any of the debutantes catch his eye. What he doesn't expect is that he likes Lucinda more each time they spend time together. Lucinda's mother is determined to have her marry her friend's son. Can Gerald win Lucinda's hand without offending either Rothwell or Lucinda's mother?
This was a very quick read. I did enjoy it, but after some leisurely scenes with Gerald and Lucinda, I felt the ending was very rushed. There was no real obstacle except for Lucinda's mother disapproval preventing them from being together and when the storyline jumped ahead a few weeks, Lucinda and Gerald were declaring their love for each other. There was a quick sex scene and the book was basically over. I would have liked more in the second half of the book. I realize this was a novella, but the ending left much to be desired.

This is the next story in Ella Quinn’s current series. It features the eldest daughter, Lucinda and Earl Elliot, the brother’s best friend. I always like romances featuring the brother’s friend, even though they always make me wonder why my brother’s friends didn’t work out that way!
I liked the premise of the meeting between these characters. Lucinda has come to London for her first season and her brother asks his friend Gerald Elliot to help keep an eye out for her. Through random meetings they come to find they have great conversations and lots in common.
The characters themselves were interesting and realistic. I especially liked how Earl Elliot questions how he knows Lucinda is the right one. It seems the opposite to the usual storyline, but I liked the guy being shown as unsure.
This was a short read, but definitely worth your time. I really enjoyed it and thank Ella Quinn, the publisher and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

The characters themselves were interesting and realistic. I especially liked how Earl Elliot questions how he knows Lucinda is the right one. It seems the opposite to the usual storyline, but I liked the guy being shown as unsure.
This was a short read, but definitely worth your time. I really enjoyed it and thank Ella Quinn, the publisher and NetGalley for the free ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

I received I'll Always Love You as part of a Goodreads giveaway.
Lady Lucinda Hughlot is determined to enjoy her first season, despite her mother's reticence to act as a chaperone. Instead the dowager wants Lucinda to marry her choice, the eminently noble Marquis of Quorndon, a selection by which Lucinda is less than enthused. Her older brother, Rothwell, enlists his friend Gerald, Earl Elliot, to watch out for her as she determinedly strikes out to find a better match. Before long, however, Gerald is convinced that Lucinda is the only woman who could make him happy.
As with many novellas (coded as .5 of a certain series), it relies upon you knowing the characters and the world that they inhabit. Since I wasn't familiar with this particular universe, I was already starting out behind the curve, and the truncated length only made it harder for me to get to know the characters and become invested in their story. While fine for what it was, as a newcomer, it didn't really click for me.

I received a copy of I'll Always Love You written by Ella Quinn from NetGalley in exchange for a fair review. I read Ella Quinn sporadically as she has always been a hit or miss for me.
Gerald, Earl Elliott is on the hunt for a wife but seems to ONLY fall for a lady once they become engaged. Determine to keep his eyes open, he is asked to help out a friend, the Duke of Rothwell, and look out for his sister Lucinda. Lucinda is in her first London Season and determined to enjoy herself. But her mother, is hoping for an early match to escape London with the Marquis of Quorndon. But, the longer she is in Gerald's company, the more she realizes she will have to defy her mom to get her HEA.
This was a good short story that stays pretty close to the history of the Regency era. Ella Quinn always attempts to stay true to the era while weaving independent women attempting to achieve their HEA. At times, the story stalled but the chemistry between Lucinda and Gerald was enjoyable. Low on the steam factor. #IllAlwaysLoveYou #NetGalley

Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author..(netgalley) This was a pretty simple clean book. This was part of a series but I didn't know that, and the way that the author writes you are not lost she explains who is who. So we meet Lady Lucinda who is about to have her season debut, but her mother has already set up a betrothal to the son of one her friends and because she doesn't want to go to the Tons parties because of the past scandals. Her brother asks one of his friends Gerold (Lord Elliott) to watch out for her, and you know how that will go. Lucinda is attracted in Gerold and he is the one she is going to go after. Since her mother is insisting she marry Lord Quonton she has to come up with a plan to have him fall in love with someone else and finds the perfect candidate.

I'll Always Love You by Ella Quinn is book 5.5 in The Worthingtons series. This is the story of Lucinda Hughlot and Gerald, Earl Elliott. I have read the previous books, but feel this is easily a standalone book. Gerald isn't having any luck in the marriage mart so when he is asked to help oversea his friends sister at her coming out, he thinks this would put him closer to finding a wife. Lucinda's mother was reluctant at first to send her out with the scandal that happened but giving in she thinks to match Lucinda with a Marquis to help save her daughter. Lucinda isn't happy with her mother's match and is falling for Gerald but she just has to convince him that she the one for him.
Ms. Quinn's writing always gives me such joy when reading her stories.

I am so glad Lord Elliott has found his HEA! He has been in a couple of other stories as a secondary character. He is fun, protective and in need of a love match.
This novella was the perfect way for Elliott to find his way to love. Lucinda is wonderful. She is intelligent, loves riding and horses and has a sense of her own mind. Together they find they share lots of common interests and share many of the same world views. Visiting with old Worthington friends again, the Duke and Duchess Rothwell, was lovely also. Elliott's mother is a lovely piece of managing mama. She knows her son better than he knows himself and is a delight. Lucinda's mom however, I could not warm up to.
This was a lovely visit accompanied by a great cuppa tea and a comfy blanket. Rnjoy!

This is a very enjoyable novella with characters from both "The Worthingtons" an "The Marriage Game". Gerald, Earl Elliott, has finally decided to marry, but he is frustrated, because he only notices woman who might have made him a good match, after they are already engaged. He agrees to help his friend, the Duke of Rothwell, to look out for his sister, Lucinda, who is having her first season. Rothwell and his wife are is too distracted by their young baby and the Lucinda's mother has decided Lucinda should marry the son of her good friend, against Lucinda's objections. Gerald finds her enchanting, but she is his friend's little sister. But could she also be the one? A nice addition to the other series.

I'll Always Love You (The Worthingtons, #5.5) by Ella Quinn ....Great job Ella...I loved this story and as always hated to put it down... Thanks to the publisher and #NetGalley for letting me preview it. This is Gerald (Earl Elliott and Lucinda's brothers best friend) and Lucinda's(getting her first season after her fathers death) story.... Her mother wants to arrange a marriage for her to get things over with... Lucinda wants her season and to find a love match... Gerald is helping her brother watch over her and the man her mother picks is not to her liking.... This is a fun adventure to get the their HEA and I am looking forward to BELIEVE IN ME which will be Phineas and Augusta's story.
