And the series continues being awesome!

I really love the info pages between the chapters, they give so much deeper insight to the character's, abilities and so much more about the world that deepens my understanding of the series.

The development of the plot is going at a nice pace and makes me want to continue onto the next volume.

Also I really loved chapter 7.5 about the characters hearing about the anime being announced. It was really cute and fun to read!

Amazing as always. Though I'm surprised the manga isnt rated mature. I really enjoyed the info pages between chapters. It gives so much background info you dont get through reading or watching the anime.

Momonga goes to become an adventurer, disguised as a human knight, in order to make his name Momon famous. The end goal is that if his name is famous enough, other people who got isekai'd with him could find him more easily. But this time, there's bad guys!

I'll be honest, it's been forever since I read volume 1 so it took me a minute to catch up, but overall, it still reads like a standard isekai with an overpowered protagonist. The only difference is that Momonga has to hide the fact that he's a skeleton. I will say that the reading flow felt... a little off? Like there was a page missing here or there. Maybe I was reading it too fast? I dunno.

I haven't seen the anime for this story, but I wonder if it would help? On volume 2 we should be getting into the meat of the story and I'm still falling into a certain level of confusion on the plot line. I'm really not sure why we were adventuring at all...? It seems there are better ways to find what you're looking for.

Still, the concept of this story is very interesting and I'll stick it out to see what happens next.

Wasn't sure how long it would be until I returned back to Overlord. It's definitely an improvement over the 1st one and I will start reading the next ones quicker than it took me to start the 2nd. Some new main characters introduced that I like however some of the panels seem a little chaotic and can be difficult to "animate" in my head.

The bonus chapter with all the characters reacting to the announcement of being animated in the 2015 Madhouse anime adaptation had me giggling because I just love a good one-off, non-canonical, self-aware gag chapter in manga

This one was better than Volume 1. Easier to follow but the switches between POV were still jarring. However, Hamsuke is the absolute cutest guardian god ever. 😍 For that reason, I added a half star to my rating and I'm looking forward to the next volume. Apparently he comes around a fair bit in future volumes.

Really enjoying the light novel version of these. Don't think you have to be a gamer to get along well with the premise - anything not obvious is usually quickly explained, so don't let the fact it's game-based put you off, as that's simply a platform for the story, not the be all and end all. Must say, So Bin's illustrations are great, especially the covers, but they are different on the light novels to the ones seen here.
