This author also writes as Heather Allison.

Heather MacAllister lives in Texas and is married to her high-school sweetheart. Following the instructions in How to Get a Teen-Age Boy, and What to Do with Him When You Get Him by Ellen Peck, one of her all-time favorite books, she expressed an interest in his hobby — ham radio. He challenged her — learn Morse code and get her license, and he’d take her to the senior prom. She did, and currently sports her call sign, WB5RMA, on her car license plate.

Heather became addicted to romance novels in college, yet still managed to graduate and become a music teacher. And then her sons were born. Within seven months, nine baby-sitters quit, so she took pity on the childcare industry, quit teaching, and began avoiding housework by writing during her sons’ nap time.

Heather has published over 40 books with Harlequin. Her award-winning romantic comedies have been translated into 25 languages and published in dozens of countries.

Before she was published, Heather won the Romance Writer's of America Golden Heart Award. Her published novels have been nominated for the RWA RITA award three times, and eHarlequin.com readers voted LONE STAR SANTA favorite Laugh-Out-Loud book of 2006. In addition to awards for best Harlequin Romance and best Harlequin Temptation, Romantic Times Book Reviews has twice nominated Heather for a Career Achievement Award in Series Love and Laughter.

When she's not writing, Heather spends her time collecting vintage jewelry, watching fireworks displays, and killing plants.

I found this book to be just an okay read. I didn't particularly like or dislike Jilt Trip. The book was short and very quick to read.

Just as his wedding ceremony is ready to begin, Carter Belden is drugged and kidnapped from the church by four of his employees, one of whom is his ex-wife. They believe that Carter's bride to be and her father, who are his business competitors, are secretly buying stock in his company and planning a takeover. Another impediment to his marriage is the fact that his ex-wife, Nikki Morrison, has just found out that their quickie Mexican divorce was never correctly filed so they are still married. Carter's employees spirit him away to the boat that he used to own with Nikki. When Carter awakens, he is furious, but agrees to look at documentation on stock holdings for his business. He soon has to admit that his father-in-law to be may have been up to something that is not in Carter's best interest. As they try to find out exactly what is going on, and to avert a hostile takeover, Carter and Nikki again become intimately involved. They must try to save the company and deterine if they have a future together.

I didn't really like either the hero or heroine. I found the heroine's behavior in kidnapping her ex-husband to be a bit overdramatic, and Carter is made to look like a very shallow, selfish person. He seemed to disregard Nikki and his other employees as people and just expected them to do his bidding. I found that parts of the story were not very believable - kidnappng the groom, his bride to be and her family having nefarious purposes yet still planning for the marriage, and the way that all seems to be forgotten by all parties by the end of the book. All that being said, the book was quick paced and entertaining.
