Kenzie?s on the fast track? to trouble.

Guys can be annoying, but the demonic kind are the worst?

That is how Kenzie Sutcliffe felt about Levi. He shot out of Kenzie?s shower, a.k.a. the demon hole, not too long ago. It was hard for Kenzie to close the portal?it involved her driving the family?s minivan into the kitchen. And what thanks does she get for that? She?s grounded, not allowed to drive, and getting chauffeured around by a demon whose driver?s license is dubious at best. Plus, the demon tells her, when one portal closes?another one opens?

Even though Levi can be a pain, Kenzie just can?t let the other demons drag him back to hell. Guess that means it?s up to her to save the day? again !

When we last read about sixteen-year-old Kenzie Sutcliffe she had just closed a demon portal in her shower drain by running the family minivan in the pipes. Unfortunately it created a minivan sized hole in her kitchen wall. Now she's not only grounded but won't be getting her drivers license until she's eighteen.

On day one of the kitchen reconstruction she's so creeped out by the large guy working on the wall she tries to take her breakfast cereal elsewhere in the house but her mom won't let her. She sneaks off with her cereal and a Diet Coke to sit in the minivan. When she accidentally sprays her drink on the radio another demon portal pops open. That's when Levi, the "good demon" who's been staying with her family, points out that there are actually 5 demon portals and Kenzie has to figure out how to close them all permanently, with no help from him.

I definitely recommend reading the first book, Demon Envy, before picking up Speed Demon. A majority of the story references book one and it has the background on why Levi is with the family. I enjoyed Speed Demon much more than I did Demon Envy. Kenzie's character is a little more realistic in this one and the storyline was cute.

I like the way Kenzie's character deals with Levi and the new demon from the portal not to mention her regular teenage drama which includes boyfriend and best friend trouble. The book is also a set up for the next book which I will definitely be reading. I recommend this for teens and anyone else who loves YA books.

This was a cute sequel to Demon Envy. I really like Erin Lynn's writing style--it's very funny and quick to read. While I felt bad for, and liked, Kenzie's boyfriend Adam, I really liked the relationship between Kenzie and Levi--it's playful and fun. The plot was slightly predictable--I easily figured out how the new portal opened, but I didn't see how Kenzie was going to close it. The ending left me hanging. I want to know more about the new portal that opened and what's going to happen between Kenzie and Levi, or between Kenzie and Adam. I didn't see any info on another book, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that a third one is coming!

Kenzie Sutcliffe can finally state that she understands the saying "when one door closes another one opens," with conviction. Well, if she replaces "door" with "portal."

Not too long ago, Kenzie had accidentally spilled her acne medication down her bathtub drain, which opened the portal to the demon world, leaving her with an obnoxious demon and a big headache. In order to not have more demons enter, Kenzie had to find a way to close it before it was too late. Kenzie finally realized that the drains from her bathtub, which ran down through the walls in the kitchen, was what she had to get rid of.

After driving through the garage and into the kitchen, Kenzie thought that she had finally closed the portal. Unfortunately Levi, who still lived with Kenzie and who was still a nuisance, told her that just by closing that portal another just so happens to open. All she has to do is close this next one. Sounds easy, just not exactly, since Kenzie isn't too sure where this new portal is located. She just hopes that she doesn't have to resort to damaging even more of her house, especially since she has no way of telling her parents the truth. (Like her parents would ever buy the whole demon portal excuse.)

Aside from her demon troubles, Kenzie must deal with parents who aren't too sure why their daughter would drive the car into the kitchen. A whole new set of rules are now in place that include doing whatever her parents ask, not getting her driver's license until she turns 18, and having her time restricted with her hot and sweet boyfriend, who questions Levi's motives. Then there is her best friend, who is in love with the demon, and a cute yet suspicious cat that appeared out of nowhere.

Kenzie Sutcliffe is sure that her life won't be getting any better anytime soon. Of course, no one ever said that being a demon slayer was easy work.

Move over vampires, the demons are in town and they won't give up without a laugh. A long-awaited sequel, SPEED DEMON does not disappoint. Erin Lynn continues the momentum she had going since the first novel. One would wonder why Kenzie would view her life so negatively when she has two, even three guys wanting her (and then they remember the demon debacle).

Oh my God! I loved this book!!! Hot! Hot! Hot! Wow!
I really really liked the first book, and I didn't think I could like this more, but I did!
I started this book thinking about reading just a bit and then resume my reading after the weekend, but I couldn't put it down! As I said for "Demon Envy", Addictive!!! Totally! And although I was so, so sorry for Adam (I liked him immensely! Scratch that, I loved him!), I felt myself melt and burn for Kenzie and Levi kissing! It was nothing like when she kissed Adam. When she kissed Adam it was cute and sweet and all, but there wasn't that "Oh-my-God-I'm-going-crazy" feeling and the butterflies in my stomach. There was that and much more when Kenzie and Levi kissed. Every each time. I was like "Wow!!!"
I didn't like Iz at all. Didn't like her behaviour and how she treated Kenzie. That's so not supposed to happen between best friends. And what about that thing about the dude in the mirror?? Oh, now that I think of it, wasn't it Otis maybe??? Hmmm...possible...
The ending was amazing and made me happy, but seeing that there isn't supposed to be an sequel apparently, I'm confused as how I feel about it. Part of me is happy, thinking "Yay, a happy-ever-after ending without other chicks or guys getting in their way, trying to steal one or the other!!!", but also, the other part of me is thinking "What?! And the other portals? I want to read more! Just 2 books? That is? Aww, I'm so disappointed!"
Anyways, you absolutely have to read this book! You totally have to read both books! They're amazing!
I'm giving 4 stars like for the first book, (even though I said I liked this more) because of the uncertain ending. It leaves you with a bittersweet taste in your mouth.

Another adorable mini chick lit paranormal read from Erin McCarthy. Kenzie pulls off another save in the second book in the Demon series. I like the characters and witty dialogue. It is amazing how the author can develop the story in such a small space.

LOVED THIS BOOK.

This is the squel to Demon Envy. If you haven't read it I suggest that you do. This story is about a teenage girl Kenzie who is in the bathroom and drops her acne cream in the bathroom which opens up a demon portal and Levi the demon comes through.

In this second book another portal is accidently opened and Kenzie has to figure out how to close it. She has been grounded since the first book and how she dealt with that portal. She ends up having boyfriend, friends and demon troubles in this one. Plus there is also the new cat Marshmellow Pants to deal with.

I just love this series. I laugh alot in it. Kenzie wit makes me laugh, and I enjoy the relationship between her and Levi.

Hopefully there will be another book since there are more portals.

Awesome followup to the first book.

Now that Levi has been living with Kenzie for a while, things start heating up between the 2, and it causes more trouble than ever!

Kenzie is grounded for like.. .EVER and her best friend Isabella is crushing on Levi. When an impromtu Halloween party results in an unexpected kiss from Levi, Kenzie loses all her friends, and her boyfriend. Bored to tears and lonely, Kenzie accidentally opens up ANOTHER demon portal. As per usual Levi cannot give Kenzie any clues to where its at or how to close it.

This book was awesome! I loved the writing style and the comedic humor from the characters. The book was left open for many sequels so I am hopeing for more to come!

Kenzie doesn't like annoying boys but when she finds a demon in her bathtub she cant's resist him even though he is very annoying. Levi is coming in from another world and Kenzie needs to find a way to close that hole without her parents knowing. Even though it's very hard for her to find a cure for all these passageway holes she finds a way, so read the book to find out.

Incluso lo sentí mucho mejor que la primera vez qué lo leí. Una lástima que no se haya continuado la serie. ¿alguien se anima a empezar la Fundación para que continúen la saga?
