Das Buch enthält eine Fülle von Fotos. Dabei sind dies nicht nur die üblichen Touristenbilder, sondern auch Pläne, Modelle, verworfene Designideen, Skizzen und ähnliches mehr. Diese und die beigefügten Texte dokumentieren unterschiedliche Designentwürfe und Projektphasen vom Bau der Elbphilharmonie. Man bekommt einen Einblick in manche Designentscheidung und kann etliche Baudetails studieren.
Ich habe mir dieses Buch in der Elbphilharmonie gekauft zur Nachbetrachtung eines wunderbaren Wochenendes in Hamburg, bei dem eben jenes Bauwerk samt Führung und Konzertbesuch im Mittelpunkt stand.

A beautiful book of a great iconic building. Quite fascinating to see the process to arrive to the final project. Extraordinary pictures of the different models made.
