I can't believe I’m being divorced by a man I never married. That's some new kind of low.
And certainly not by Justin Green, Seattle's youngest billionaire. Jus had a crush on me in college, but someone has to be pranking me.
I’m ready to play along with the joke until I walk into a meeting with Justin and his supposed divorce lawyer. Justin is all grown up. And much hotter than I remember.
Romance addict. Hopeless daydreamer. People watcher. Total romantic at heart.
That's me. When I'm lost in a good book a nuclear bomb could go off next to me - I wouldn't flinch. I'm not afraid to read in public and laugh until my eyes water and my sides hurt. I'll cry at a tender moment. Dab my eyes when a couple finally realizes they're in love. Race with my heart pounding to the end of an adventure. Give me a little mystery – now I'm really intrigued.
I'll fall in love with a hot, witty hero any day of the week. Shhh. Just between you and me? My biggest turn-on? A man with a sense of humor. Let me melt now. I'm hooked.
Give me billionaires, modern-day dukes and royals. Give me hot, witty nerds, and intelligent men.
Marriages of convenience? Fake relationships? Second-chance romances? I'm in!
I write books that I want to read. That make me laugh. That make my heart race. If any of this sounds good to you, join me! If you want to be sure to hear when I have a new release, visit me at www.ginarobinson.com and sign up for my newsletter.
The premise was interesting but I had a hard time getting into it. I kept starting and stopping. The main character is selfish , shallow and irresponsible. She spends the whole time whining about her bills, but she keeps making extravagant unnecessary purchases. Honestly, who chooses to purchase day old flowers when they have to decide between said flowers and using their last twenty dollars to buy dinner. I am sick of books like this using unrealistic situations to excuse gold digging and borderline prostitution. I was ok with Justin until the end of the first episode. When Kayla, after going on and about how he wasn't good for her(an opinion also shared by her friends and family by the way) suddenly jumps in his lap and makes out with him. Out of nowhere. Apparently she wanted to rub it in his assistant's face because she saw that the "geek girl" had a crush on him. That completely turned me off of her character for good and I found Kayla to be cruel and bitchy. I was already on the fence because she kept saying no one would believe she would marry him. Not to mention the constant insults about his looks, how he dressed, how he wasn't her type, and how she didn't even remember him. I had hopes for Justin but I guess he is just as shallow. He is total hypocrite for taking Ophelia for granted. Maybe he deserves to be emasculated by Kayla. I hope the author realizes that a lot of former and current "geek girls" might read her books. She should try to have characters that they can relate to, not ones that will offend and alienate them. And I was offended. It is 2019 and I am sick of the double standard. It's okay for the less than perfect guy to get the girl of his dreams, but not the less than perfect girl to get the guy. And these books are supposedly written by women. Now I suppose Ophelia will be the identity thief. I'm only guessing because I have no intention of finishing the books.Deleted!

I like the accidental marriage, but the identity theft sounds far fetched, and Kayla doesn't want his money but keeps bragging about it and spending it and keeps thinking about the 10 million she gets in a year. Sound like a gold digger to me. And she is superficial at start of book didn't seem so but as it goes she is hooked on looks over everything we shall see if she changes. Books should be longer, and having to pay for the next hooks is hard to swallow but if I want to know if Justin gets to change the girl.
That a supposedly I attract billionaire would be so desperate as to stay married to a woman who can’t even hold her alcohol is not romantic at all. This book reeked of desperation and disaster. I’m ending the series here.
I actually was amused by the premise and enjoyed reading what there was to the story. However, this seems to be one novel broken up into several "episodes" that are packaged separately. I'm curious to I know how the story ends, but not so much that I'm willing to shell out nearly $20 to find out.
I found it really hard to like Kayla, then once I found out this was only parts 1 and 2 of an 8 part series I just gave up. I thought the story line was good and liked Justin's character but Kayla was to indecisive for me.
This book series is one of my favorite contemporary romances of all time. I periodically re-read it all the time. It follows Kayla Lucas as she gets wrapped into a marriage of convenience with brand new billionaire, and former college classmate (who of course has always been in love with her), Justin Green. It follows both MCs points of view, which I love, so you're never questioning if what the other character feels is coinciding with the other characters emotions (I'm looking at you, Shadow & Bone). The amount of drama these characters go through as they navigate their real emotions breaking through in a fake marriage is astounding. The books really read like a fanfiction, to be honest, but a well written one with original characters. It makes for a really fun read. The books in this series are super short and easy peasy to read in less than a day which I think is perfect when it's a Kindle book. I'm honestly unsure if they sell in paperback, but if they do, I'll add them to my real life bookshelf at home at some point. In the mean time, they're saved in my Kindle library for easy access the next time I need a good laugh and something to warm my heart.
The situation itself is unlikely, but it's a book, so whatever. The characters aren't particularly likeable, either. I like Justin more than Kayla, but barely. He's a nerd, which is cool, but his attitude about being a billionaire is a bit off-putting. The fact that he's carried a torch for vapid, self centered Kayla since college is kinda pathetic. Kayla, herself, is just plain unlikeable. She's shallow, selfish, and just not someone I want to read about getting the guy. From her first memories of Justin to the way she's constantly trying to change him into someone that would've been capable of winning her affections, she's all about how he isn't good enough for her. I'd rather see him fall in love with Ophie and her realize what kind of guy she's missing out on and actually having to win his affections, instead of playing the possessive gold digger that's in complete denial about her gold digger status. Probably not going to read the rest of the series, which could have been condensed into one book, instead of 3, but I guess the author has to make money somehow.
Hilarious opposites Kayla Luca has no luck at all and now is someone playing a practical joke? She spent 6 years with her college boyfriend Eric Monday and he just dumped her for another woman ! Life's just not fair to her way of thinking but she's just for a good joke so she shows up to the meeting at the lawyers office and gets a big surprise ! And offer ! Kayla makes a big difference him Justin's life. She calls him, "Jus"and doesn't like how sloppy her new man looks. He is still hot for her although he's trying to be cool about it. His secretary/assistant hates Kayla for taking Justin. The assistant is the least cool person in the company. She dresses like an old lady and " helps" Justin dress the same way. Yuck. I loved both Kayla and sweet, clueless billionaire Justin. The humor is off the charts. And I liked the attractive cover. I was surprised that the story didn't end in episode 2. I thought it would and was disappointed that it didn't! I see at least 6 Episodes that I would need to read to finish their story. Well, Unless, that's not the end either. I wanted to give it 5 Stars but I just couldn't because of the addition books.
This book broke my cardinal rule for fiction: the complete story in one volume. This sets up the reader with one or more interesting situations and then requires the reader to purchase an unspecified number of additional volumes, each with its own setups, to resolve them. I thought about giving this one star, but because it is very well written, filled with humor, interesting characters and a unique plot, ended up giving it three stars. Note to author: I will not be buying any more of your books, regardless of how good they are, because by my standards you are a cheat.
This author is different. Unique. Original. The writing style is not what I'm used to. It took me a little time to get used to it. Once I did, I really enjoyed the story.
As for the other reviewers saying the story isn't believable, that's bogus. This is a work of fiction. If that's what the author said happened, that's what happened. It works and I personally enjoyed it. It's no different than when an author says pigs are flying or any other form of fiction. Don't be so hard to dismiss a work of art.
I really enjoyed the story and will be continuing the series!
I hate cliffhangers! Kayla and Justin are wonderful characters and I would like to know how they finish. However, I won't pay $4.99 for each of the next several " books" to find out. Shame on you, Gina for not warning readers. When I saw other episodes I erroneously thought they'd be other couples. Shame on me for not checking.
Weird things happens sometimes and that's what happened to this couple. Good thing they already knew each other. Maybe they can pull this marriage off. Good story. Can't wait to read what up next.
This was a wacky and sweet book which I enjoyed very much, identify their is ready but to marry under someone's else name is very funny as Kayla and Justin will soon find out,I loved reading it.
Enjoyed the book but it essentially amounts to a novella and to purchase the remainder of the novellas to finish the series is $15+. Seems pretty high when I can get longer full Length novels for cheaper.
Good series of books. They provide a good introduction to the series and leave the reader with a little cliff hanger at the end. I would advise to have the whole series before reading as you want to keep reading until they’re all finished
Wow this is a great premise for a story. Who would’ve thought. Love Justin how vulnerable and sweet he is, and how Kayla doesn’t really want to be a Golddigger but somehow comes off that way anyway. Can’t wait to see how this goes
Cute storyline! Would have given more stars but sorry, I hate cliffhangers. I believe this is where my romance with Gina Robinson ends. The tale is clean and sweet with a fun and entertaining content.
Written in episodes, enjoyable and fun characters keeps the reader intetested looking forward to reading the next installment. Well written the story flows
I absolutely loved the quick wit of these characters. I couldn’t put the book down. I am chomping at the bit to read the next episodes! Great reading!!
Justin and kayla story was hard to read starting off, but quickly became a great read. Can't wait to read more to see how Justin's family takes their relationship.
