Another pretty good romance set in the old west by an author I've come to like. Again, though, it's obvious that this is part of a series because there are a ton of references to characters that don't even figure at all in this story, and again, it emphasizes the gap between the development of those characters and the development of the other minor characters that DO figure into the story.

It was slightly predictable, but not enough to ruin the story for me.

'There were differences between men and women. Ignoring the differences for fear or hurt feelings would be stupid. She wasn't inferior. She was just different.'

While I could wish this quote didn't come from a romance book, it is still true.

Great book

I chose this rating because this book was very well written, besides being a mystery it was a great love story. I love the way you weave your characters into the story.

a sweet slow romance with a slight suspence background story. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more from Leigh Greenwood.

Thought this was a completely beautiful book. Loved the pace at which it developed and the descriptions of events. Hope to read more by this author.

Very slow and redundant. I felt that 200 pages was just the same. The villain was predictable as well.

This was my first of Greenwood’s books. It was a slow burn but enjoyable.

Fortunately, the back-of-book blurb was misleading and the heroine was NOT the woman the hero found in bed with his father ten years ago. Rather, she was her sister...

Out of the whole series so far of the Night Riders. This was my favorite. I love how in the earlier series how Rafe was so quiet. His and Maria story was awesome. I totally disliked Dolres from the begining. You got to hear about Laverie.Ibcan't wait till I read Broc's book next
I just love him... :-)
