This book was EVERYTHING! I was so intrigued from the beginning. Goon was like a thug wolf, I loved it. I didn't see that ending coming. I loved Kanya and Goon's relationship. I will reread this book all the time. I enjoyed reading the backstory and history of everything.

I did not know this book was paranormal. I just heard about it and had to see what the hype was about and man was I glad I did! This book was everything! If you can look past the editing you will enjoy this read. It had me in all kinds of emotions. Goon is the best and Izra is so funny. Just check it out for yourself!

Abuse is never okay, even amongst soul mates. ****SPOILERS****
Strike 1: Misogyny
Goon was the quintessential abuser. He began controlling Kanya immediately. In a week of knowing her, he had forced her out of both of her jobs as well as her home. He told her who she could be friends with, how she could dress, and where she could go. Eventually, he gave up being polite and just told her she couldn't leave the house without his permission. When Kanya rebels slightly and goes out with her friend, what happens? She gets sexually assaulted. I shudder to think of the moral we the readers are supposed to glean from this. Of course Goon reacts by physically, verbally, and emotionally abusing Kanya. He even uses the threat of it happening again to try to reinforce his control over her.
Sadly, the misogyny was not only confined to the men. The women of the novel based their value and that of other women on their beauty and their devotion to men who "spoil them". When Kofi tells Kanya about his mate being gang raped, Kanya's sympathy is solely with Kofi, who had to deal with other males' scents on his mate.
Strike 2: Grammar and punctuation
Comma splices, excess exclamation points, and quotation marks for noises that were not being quoted.
The author often flopped between first person present and past-tense, sometimes within the same sentence.
Strike 3: Self fulfilling plot
Goon and Kanya loved each other because they were supposed to love each other. They were attracted to each other because they had no choice. Without free will, can this really be considered a romance? I can't remember anything in particular that Kanya loved about Goon. His body, maybe. Perhaps if a few of the numerous sex scenes were replaced with emotional bonding moments between the two leads, I would have bought the romance part of this paranormal romance.

I thoroughly loved this book. I was so entertained. It was fun and comedic with enough drama and plot twist to keep me intrigued. It’s book 1 the series and I’ll definitely be reading the rest.

Where do I begin....First of all...this story was Everything and I do mean Everything. I like how the initial introduction was done and its transition to present day. The characters are not just 1 dimensional, which make this story even more engaging. It just flowed so well and the character build was just awesome. Most authors are not that good at doing that which makes this story very unique. At the beginning of the book I almost didn't make it through because I was laughing so hard at Kanya trying to explain what she saw to her friends and then to the police. Now the scene with the cops has me in tears while I write this.
About these characters....Xavier couldn't bust a Grape in Fruit ole Punk. He just wouldn't listen and that pretty much got him right where he belonged. Sasha...I knew it was something shady about her, she was just to negative. I really didn't trust her from Jump. Kanya... Dear Sweet Kanya, she had me so weak pretty much this who book especially in the beginning when she was being stalk, poor child thought she was losing her mind. However when she finally understood it all, she became a hard-headed force to be reckoned with. Goon...he played no games with it came down to it. No matter how many came at him he was the protector at all cost. I think that's what make his character so great and he was a freak. I was shocked about Adika's place in all of this, besides her rooting Kanya on...Good One!!! Izra, now this guys mouth is just reckless, heck he was just reckless, but I loved that fool. Izra brought a lot of humor to the story. Those sex scenes were something, somebody going half on a baby after reading this....Ohhhh but that ending. Look that was just dirty and unexpected, Keora just let it GOOOOO!!!!
I did come across quite a bit of grammatical errors, but that didn't take away from the story.

First off want to say kudos! to this author for thinking outside of the box. This book put me in the mind of a hood twilight mixed with a little fifty shades. It started out strong holding my attention. Towards the end it started to feel a little rushed and the plot got a little repetitive. Im still intrigued to find out what happens next however. Currently marking my calender for the January release of part two.

Hecka GOOD!
Go Natavia, I loved this book. Suspense, dangerous, supernatural, and raw sexual desires. Better than some supernatural book and storylines I have read. Can't wait for the next book.

This was a good read. There was so much going on in this book that kept me interested and not wanting to put the book down. I felt like every other chapter there was another twist. I’m excited to see where this series goes! Natavia is a beast with her paranormal pen game.

This book was addictive. Aside from the extremely long and descriptive spice scenes, this story had it all: romance, danger, shifters, magic, witches, Alpha males, smart FMC and MMC. It’s a series that I will finish.

No... no... no... no... I don't think we're all reading the same book. I can ignore the over abundance of exclamation points, that made me want to vow to never use that punctuation ever again. I can ignore the lack of contractions that made reading it kind of clunky. But I can't ignore the rest. There was no world or character building (unless that came much later, because I had to quit at 27%) to speak of. It was like reading a young girls diary, it just jumped from one part to the next with no filler.
They were in a car, she had to pee, she went home, she went to work, she went to her second job, she went home. The only indication of a passage of time was when it stated, "two days later...".
It was juvenile at best.

Banging Read!!!
This book was so good!!! First off, the cover is banging! I have never read paranormal before and was pleasantly surprised how good it is. Your way of storytelling would make any genre be good. Goon was everything and more! True definition of an Alpha male. I loved Kanya's character. That Keora is gonna be a pain and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Overall, I was very pleased with this book and you did an excellent job Natavia!!!

Good read
I read this straight through. This was a different take on werewolves. I thought Goon was a little overbearing at times. I felt Kanye should’ve left a few times. She was practically raped. He blamed her. Not good. Keira, I thought was good. WTH! Dayo, I was so wrong. This was good, and I laughed out loud at times. Definitely had the steam. On to the next book.

oh my goodness! almost didn't want to make the time to write this (already into part 2) but I had to stop and give props to this author. I started reading this thinking I am not going to like this, but damn I was sucked in from the first page to the last. the sex scenes in here were hot as hell. I loved this book from the beginning.

For this to be the author first time dabbling in the paranormal field she did that! I loved Goon and Kayana. Who knew how far Keora would go for a man. This book will not disappoint you. Kudos to you Ms. Natavia and can't wait for the saga to continue.

There are not enough stars for the rating this book deserves!!!! I have never read a paranormal with an urban/comical twist. Miss Natavia is very talented & she knocked this one out the park!!! BRAVO!!!

I really love Goon!!! His description alone was enough for me and screamed he was the boss. I liked Kanya and learning about why the attraction was so strong between her and Goon only made me want to read more. Keora got on my last nerves and before I got to the end I thought for sure something was wrong with Dayo. Izra was a mess but I loved the bond he shared with Goon. I liked Adika but wasn't expecting her to turn out to be who she was. Sasha was too scandalous for me and needed to fall back and stop being so judgmental. Xavier needed to learn when to accept no and not take things into his own hands because it only caused more problems for him. After reading this one I went ahead and bought part 2 because I'm ready to see what craziness will come about from the all the drama that is brewing. Kanya is definitely the beauty to Goon's beast and they fit just right. I'm hoping they don't have to deal with anymore issues like the one they had with Xavier and Keora will learn to leave things alone and just do what she was created to do. #KNL

A friend recommended this author and I am so glad she did. I am not usually a sci-fi or paranormal reader but Natavia wove an intricate story about a love story between a man/wolf who found the woman he was to mate with for life. Goon had this swag nature about himself and the author made it come through the pages. His physical description made him African God like and Kanya (his beauty) was a plus-sized and knew how to carry herself. I liked how Natavia made these characters come to life and they were not the stereotypical ghetto black people that are depicted in most Urban Fiction books.
The drama in the story and the supernatural elements made for a very fast read. The only reason I could not give this book five stars was because of the grammatical errors. This book needed a better editor. I kept cringing when she kept putting an (s) at the end of the word mine. Ugh that is so annoying. I am will be downloading book two immediately.

This was a totally different read for me. I enjoy paranormal books at times. Now, it seems Goon/Akua aka The Alpha and Kanya are destined to be soul mates, even though he has been alive for hundreds of years before her birth. Goon is part man/wolf (werewolf) and Kanya is part woman/jackal. Centuries later, Kanya is born and their relationship is approved and sealed by his dad, The Wolf God from Africa and Egypt. A very interesting concept that was executed fairly well in this story line. It showed how the characters bonded and lived in the human world within their wolf pack.
