This was a great book, giving the parent a glimpse of what to expect from your child's first year starting kindergarten. It was a very quick read, offering very sweet letters capturing the relationships of the kindergarten year: parent-teacher, parent-child and teacher-child. The added bonus for me is that this was written by the principal of the school my son is entering next year, so I can also see how she portrays elementary school years and her thought process, being a mother as well as a teacher. =)

Loved the letters home from the teacher. Certainly makes me hope my son entering kindergarten this fall will have someone so caring and dedicated to her students and their parents!
After the first chapter; however, skimmed and skipped through the mother's journal. I didn't find it as interesting.
