Written, illustrated with woodcuts and binding design by William Strang. Title page and 12 woodcuts accompanied by humorous verses by William Strang. This being the first published woodcuts of Mr. Strang who played a significant role in the revival of hand-printed books. Although conceived as a children's book "A Book of Giants" appeals to all ages; one of Mr. Strang's fearsome ogres gobbles up a cyclist and then perches his bycycle on his nose for a pair of spectacles.
William Strang RA (13 February 1859 – 12 April 1921) was a Scottish painter and engraver, notable for illustrating the works of Bunyan, Coleridge and Kipling.
