This book was a brilliant follow up to Ms. Quinn's first book, and in my opinion, even better because I just adored Nika! I was hooked right from the first chapter and continued flipping until the last page. This author has the ability to pack action, suspense, sexy, and a whole lot of character development into her pages while creating a quick-paced story. I loved the drama and the mafia background. I can't wait for the next books in this awesome series!

A mob story to start the weekend off right! Quinn delivers another page turner in this mafia filled romantic thriller. Nika is an interesting character albeit sometimes annoying. For someone as smart as they come she can be a bit naive at times.
I really struggled on the rating for this one and not for the reasons one might think. Quinn does a good job of the insta-love virgin troupe; the love scenes are for the most part done well. What bothered me was what might seem silly - the over use of the word vagina in sexual descriptions. Yup sorry it made me cringe - luckily that is only a small part of the book and the overall story was fast paced and interesting!

Love this! Like the previous book in the series, this one pack a punch with no holds barred. Great writing, choppy and hard hitting, just like the story.
Finn and Nika face their worst fears when the Russian mob find their trail. Nika's naivety and delight in her new surroundings are as sweet as they are dangerous. For a young woman who has never been out into the big wide world, it all comes as a harsh learning curve. Finn, on the other hand knows exactly what is likely to come at them and he's not looking forward to it at all. Especially when he realises that his feelings for the young disappearer are already wildly out of control.
There are some nail biting moments, great scene descriptions, and more wince worthy scenes, all adding to the tension and edginess of this series. Can't wait to read more!

A Mind for Intrigue
Nika continues to baffle Finn as she appears so smart, while at the same time, she is so naïve. Because of her strange history and protected upbringing, she lacks all of the social clues and references which society takes for granted. Finn, a cop in Vancouver, finds himself captivated by Nika, first for her beauty, but later for her spirit. Not only does she save his life by giving him a purpose, she has the potential to shift his entire life direction just by existing. This story has some very erotic scenes as well as foul language and violence, but the underlying story of two people finding each other against all the odds is paramount. I found it to be both thrilling and entertaining to read!

The perfect mix of action, sex and romance
This book is Book 2 of a series, but don’t let that put you off reading it as an opener. From the opening hook to Nika breaking down her policeman’s walls, this has kept me riveted. Having grown up on the likes of Wilbur Smith and Eric Van Lustbader, which can be fairly violent, I liked the way the author used implied violence: a scream, a look, to allow the reader to build their own picture. The book also has a taster of both Books 1 and 3. I must say, I am delighted at who will be the male lead in Book 3 and may well pick up Book 1 to complete the set.

I loved Nika's character . She was extremely intelligent but so unaware of how to respond or interact with others in an everyday situation. It kept her character fresh for me. I have to say Finn was savage in his want and need to protect Nika. I thought that they fit together very well. I also enjoyed the pieces of the ongoing plot which I think is so intriguing. I am happily moving onto the next one in this series.

Strong female lead!
Set in my favorite city, near an island my family used to own, Pym Island, this story is chock-full of mystery, suspense, action and steamy love scenes. I could almost feel the heat and see a hot mist emanating from my phone! If you love a good, strong, smart female lead, then you'll enjoy this one. I highly recommend it to readers 18+.

What happens when the disappearer takes a powder? Things get danged dangerous and some of the danger comes from the man she was told she could trust. Then again it is a delicious steamy danger that takes the bearer of secrets on a journey she never bargained for. The man she trusts finds he must make a choice. What more can I say and not give it all away. Get the book.

Marvelously steamy, romantic, dramatic, violent and a tad disturbing, What more can you ask for in a book? Well, you can ask for a good storyline and awesome character development and in this book, you will get all you ask for. It was an easy read, a fast page turner. Finn and Nika's story was satisfying.
