Ten years ago, my journey began when I delivered a stillborn baby girl which spiraled me into coding on the table for 90 minutes from an amniotic fluid embolism which put me into full cardiac arrest because of the side effects of an off-label drug. It is a journey that has taken me 10 years to write. I was angry, depressed, couldn’t trust, lost some of my memory, cheated death only to ask, “Why Me”. However, through this journey, I found my one true love, I began to heal, I forgave, I got stronger and now my story has changed from “Why Me” to awareness from a loving and compassionate state of mind. I’m a small-town girl whose dream was to be a mother and to know love. Today, I’m a successful business owner, a mother and a wife. My life feels complete except for telling my story. I hope this book inspires, educates and helps you through the difficult times that life throws at you with the promise to live your life because tomorrow is not promised.

Raw and Honest story of heartbreaking loss : also a pharmaceutical cautionary tale

Risha Freshley has poured her heart out onto these pages. I feel like I just spent an afternoon sitting in her living room, sipping tea, wiping away tears and hearing her story. If you or anyone you know is pregnant, or ever plans to become pregnant, read this book.

Learn from her story. Fully vet the drugs you are prescribed. Reach for your joy. Forgive, but do not remove your boundaries. So much wisdom shared.
