Psychologist Rosenna Bakari invites survivors into the journey of healing with 366 days of affirmations and self-help scripts to motivate readers. Recovery lasts a lifetime and this book is written as a life-long reference to build resilience.
The writings in this book address issues such as dealing with the stress of family holidays, understanding grooming, finding the inner child and how to choose a therapist. Being a victim feels isolating. But healing should not be isolating. Tree Leaves makes the survivor feel like they have their personal helper right on their nightstand. Finally, this book assures survivors that trauma will not have the final word.
