Expatriate Ashley loves her job translating Japanese video game scripts into English. The fact that she has Kai, her scorching-hot lover, right on the premises only adds to the appeal. When Kai’s body is invaded by the sexy sword-wielding spirit of a disgraced samurai, Ashley thinks she has the best of both worlds—two men for the price of one. However, only one of those men are faithful, even though they both use the same body. When Terasaka reverts to the lecherous and violent ways that made him a ronin back in feudal Japan, Ashley escapes back to the States as fast as she can. Yet there are some things a girl can’t outrun, and a ghost ronin is one of them.

Terasaka isn’t the only entity that followed Ashley home. Nor is he the only entity that would like a free ride in somebody else’s skin. Lust demon Sada wants her piece of Kai, and it’s obvious that she’s never satisfied. Ashley and Terasaka need to band together if they’re to save Kai’s soul and create a future they can all live—and love with, forever.

Although this is my second book from this author it is defiantly, my first book of this kind. I didn’t know what to expect, this is a standalone book, and it doesn’t end in a cliffhanger which I loved. It also has a happily ever after even though you might not think it was possible.

This book is about the bodies of Ashley and Kai and their souls along with Terasaka and Sada soul. Terasaka is inside of Kai, while Sada is ghosting from body to body. Terasaka is trying to protect Ashley from Sada, because she is getting closer to her and he knows she wants to kill her. Kai and Ashley were a couple until she walked in on a sex scene that involved his body with Miyo, (a Japanese beauty ) but it was Terasaka who had taken over Kais body for his own pleasure. Sada was a young woman who had been left by Terasaka once he found out she was pregnant, so she committed suicide killing both her unborn child and herself to haunt Terasaka forever. Ashley breaks it off with Kai and returns to the states, well he is back as Terasaka is trying to keep her safe and the story takes off from there. There are demons lurking everywhere and vampire’s trying to get Ashley. The question is does she survive and does Sada find peace? Does Kai and Terasaka come to agreement or part ways?

This story is different, if you are into ghost and demons while including humans, then this is your book. I loved that it had a base to it all which was love and not letting go.

Steamy and unique twist to multiple-partners story
In SAMURAI’S HEART we get three distinct books mapping the progress of four distinct people in two bodies! First, we are introduced to Ashley who translates her boss’s papers into Japanese. She also has a kink: reading Japanese manga which are graphic novels for adults of a sexual nature. Then there is Kai her Japanese former boyfriend whose body has been inhabited since he was 16yo by a centuries-old disgraced Samurai named Terasaka. Both Kai and Terasaka love Ashley but what happens when she is possessed by Sada, a “kami” or spirit who was hurt by Terasaka centuries ago and wants revenge? Can Kai allow Terasaka to love his Ashley? Can Sada allow Ashley to live?
I’ve never read an anime but this book reads like I imagine the word-only-version would be. Always fascinating, sometimes complicated, this was a very different romance. It was almost a reverse harem with only two bodies but four different people who love or at least lust for one another! Yeah, I said complicated…Oh, and did I mention STEAMY? Very steamy…
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through Booksprout and it comes recommended for readers who enjoy kinky paranormal with a twist and lots of steam ;-)

This is definitely a unique read that strangely involves four different characters and two human bodies. The humans are Ashley and Kai who work along side one another in the Japanese video game world. Kai has always wanted to be a samurai and at sixteen had decided to share his body with one. Meet Terasaka who is a character of his one and possibly my favorite. Ashley can tell the difference between Kai and Terasaka by their eye colour. To make things more interesting Ashley has her own body taken over by Sada who is a lust driven demon. This is a little tricky to sort out in the beginning but once you have it all figured out it is quite an interesting story. Of course the story has a few twists and turns that take it up another notch. Can Kai and Ashley find their HEA? Enjoy the journey to find out.

This was such a wonderful and unique story. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down. This was an entertaining story with an unique storyline and readers who love demons, vampires and ghosts, and enjoy action, humor, danger and lots of steam, will find this an interesting and enjoyable read. I definitely recommend this book you won't be disappointed!!!

Samurai's Heart by Jamie K. Schmidt is a great story to read. If you like reading about ghost then this story is for you and I really enjoyed reading it very much. I recommend this story to everyone who likes reading about erotic paranormal romances.

This was a love story with a twist. Girl falls in love with boy and boy just so happens to possessed by an ancient samurai. Which causes the emotional trauma considering Kai and Ashley are in a committed relationship. This is a story I couldn’t but down. This was interesting love story between two bodies but more than two spirits.

This was a wild ride trying to figure out who was who. Totally different than what I’ve read before. I would read more from this author.
