Before topping multiple bestseller lists—including those of the New York Times, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal—award winning author Elisabeth Naughton taught middle school science. A voracious reader, she soon discovered she had a knack for creating stories with a chemistry of their own. The spark turned into a flame, and Elisabeth now writes full-time.

Though primarily known for her romantic suspense work, Elisabeth has penned over thirty books and continues to write in multiple genres, including paranormal romance and contemporary romance. Her books have been translated into numerous languages and have earned several award nominations, including three prestigious RITA® nominations from Romance Writers of America. In 2017, REPRESSED, the first book in her Deadly Secrets series, won the RITA® for best romantic suspense.

Elisabeth's work has been praised by the Chicago Tribune as being filled with "deadly intrigue, high adrenaline action, and scorchingly hot passion.” Kirkus calls her "a writer talented enough at weaving a yarn to get her readers ensnared in it.” When not dreaming up new stories, Elisabeth can be found spending time with her husband and three children in their western Oregon home, wrangling two cats, or chasing after one very rambunctious Dalmatian.

Elisabeth Naughton’s Eternal Guardians series continues in Tempted the 3rd book.
I love the world that the author is building…..
 photo entwined.front_.final_.300x415_zpsirde9le4.jpg
The previous book, Entwined, ended with a bang in which Isadora, the spoiled and untouched princess of Argolea is kidnapped by witches.

She is rescued by Demetrius,
 photo 11057253_786633544777692_8602023680382469139_n_zpsesvfimr5.jpg
. The dark, dangerous and damaged Argonaut warrior, who has been hiding his love for her because he believes that the secret his heritage makes him unworthy of her love, even though he knows that she’s his true soul mate!
“He was doing the right thing. No matter how painful, no matter how upset she thought she was now…in the long run, ending it here, before she learned the truth about him, was the only thing he could do.”
Atalanta, leader of the daemons and enemy of Argolea plans on using Demetrius feelings for Isadora for her benefit.

Sending the two to the desolated and hellish island named Pandora will force Demetrius to bend to her demands.

What happens is that Isadora sees something good in Demetrius and she will go to any lengths to make him see that they are meant to be together.
“Demetrius, who we are is not a result of where we come from. It’s the combination of what we do and how we live that determines who we are.”
Isadora was the star in this story.

I had doubts about her ability to become Queen of Argolea. She seemed so fragile and weak, unable to stand up to her father and to anyone who crossed her path. But here…she shines. She fights for what’s right and for her man.

I love the dialogue, the twists and turns, the likeable cast of characters and the development of a world that is so totally believable.

Loved the end of this book….not the cliffhanger, which there is one of course, but the fact that Demetrius and Isadora finally get their HEA

If you love PNR, then this is definitely a series that should be on your list!!

My favorite quote:

UUUY NOO!!!
ME ENCANTÓ

Why are scars so SEXY???

This is my favorite kind of story....

Tortured, sexy, scarred, hero.

Pure, good, strong, girl.

Demetrius. That's all I have to say. His name alone invokes so much feeling. He is in the same category of Zsadist (Lover Awakened) and Ripper (Unbeautifully).

Isa. She was a different person in the first two books. I grew to love her more and more as she overcame obstacles and became a stronger person. In this book, she is the perfect match for Demetrius, exactly what he needs, and he is meant for her in every way.

Isa is Demetrius's ONE. He can feel it and knows it for hundreds of years. But she is the princess, and so he pushes her away, and makes her believe that he hates her. When Isa disappears, Demetrius saves her over and over again. Finally, when they are sent to the hidden island of PANDORA, they are forced to spend time together and the secret love for each other explodes!

This story is anything but cheesy. I feel everything they feel. I love the Greek mythology. It's so creative.

This is my favorite in this series so far.

I will read ANYTHING by Elisabeth Naughton.

***I don't think there are any spoilers in here, and if there are, they might be things we found out in the last book***

I got hooked on the Eternal Guardian’s series last year, so I was super excited at the chance to review this book. This is Isadora’s book, and I’ve been waiting (not-so) patiently to see how she handles this.

Isadora is a very timid, with a doormat personality...until lately. She is finally waking up and seeing what she wants. And I loved watching her grow. She began this book as timid, and ended it as a queen who no one will mess with. And if they do…well, in Isadora’s words,

“My father will be dead in a matter of weeks and I’ll be your new queen. If you don’t leave us now, I guarantee I will remember your name. And the consequences will be severe.”

Demetrius is quite the opposite. He’s one of the guardians, and he’s been a complete bastard to her for about 200 years. Wanna know why? Hera’s curse. Hera cursed each Guardian to have only 1 soul-mate, and that soul-mate would be the worst possible match ever. Demetrius knows Isadora is his (this is not a spoiler since we're told it early on, and I think we knew from the last book). And while he wants her, knowing he can’t have her, it’s more. He doesn’t want to “soil” her. We find out who his mama is, and hoo-boy, there’s a shocker! He has every reason to distance himself and make sure Isadora never looks at him with anything but disgust and hatred. Too bad for Demetrius that Isadora’s able to see behind the façade.

Isadora is kidnapped at the end of Entwined, and this book picks up right in that same spot. She is taken by witches who want to free their warlock-god, and giving him a royal, virginal, powerful sacrifice will do that. But the Guardians save her, and Demetrius opens a portal and shoves both Gryphon and Isadora through. But he didn’t think about where he opened the portal and came face to face with a bunch of daemons. Gryphon is still weak from fighting the warlock the witches wanted to free (he comes back later), so he ends up near death before he’s rescued.

Meanwhile, Demetrius’ mummy-dearest tosses the two of them to an island called Pandora and binds his powers. He can’t open a portal back to their home, and Isadora’s too weak from the kidnapping, the spells, and everything to be much help. Oh, and don’t forget-she can’t be away from Casey and Callia for too long, or the 3 of them weaken. So they have to not only trust each other, they have to avoid being killed by all the crazy mythological creatures who come out at night. Which reminds me, I snickered a bit at this quote:

“What do you mean nocturnal? That harpy came out into the sun. So did that boar.”
“I didn’t say they were vampires who couldn’t go out in the sun. I said they’re nocturnal. They rest during the day, hunt at night.”

Isadora finally realizes that Demetrius has been pushing her away on purpose, way before they could even get close, let alone now that they have gotten close. She won’t let him push her away anymore, and she will make him see her as more than the timid little princess she had been.

Meanwhile, while Demetrius and Isadora have been MIA, Gryphon was found and rescued. He is fatally wounded, and his soul is dying (his soul is being killed off by the type of wound he received). He also overheard some things taken out of context which makes Demetrius the enemy. All the Guardians think he’s been planning to kidnap Isa for a while, and instantly believe all the circumstantial evidence. So, once Isadora’s back home, Demetrius, still not believing himself worthy, won’t speak. He won’t prove them wrong, he won’t even try to save his own skin. That all I can understand, but once he was redeemed…no one apologized for believing the worst in him. I mean that really made me mad since Theron especially said some pretty crappy things to him. It’s a good thing Isadora was there to speak for him. And Isadora didn’t wow just them, she wowed me as well. She also made some enemies in the process.

Nick is a character I now love. I mean, hard-core love. I want to see how he gets around this little thing that I can’t say, because man, that’s harsh. Orpheus, oh Orpheus. I hope he can find what he’s looking for. And I hope he gets a book too (*hint hint* Ms. Naughton) Oh, and a great heroine name for Orpheus would be Laurie. Just sayin’.

I think this is a series that everyone can get into, the writing flows and it’s definitely action-packed. Elisabeth Naughton has written a fresh series with believable characters who are up against unbelievable odds.

I became a fan of Elisabeth Naughton after reading her Stolen series and I wasn't that bowled over by the Eternal Guardians but I am glad I never gave up and Tempted, the third in the series is her best effort where we finally see Isadora, the heir finally come onto her own. We have seen her weak, making deals with Hades(losing her soul) and Orpheus to learn magic and when the book begins her hand-maiden has betrayed her and cast a fertility spell on her for Atlanta, their enemy.

Demetrius is the hated guardian and he likes it that way because he thinks that is what he deserves. For years he has been cruel and mean to Isa because she is his curse, his soul-mate and he knows that he doesn't deserve her but when she goes missing he goes for her and is banished by Atlanta on Pandora's island where he does his level best to resist her.

I loved the book especially Demetrius even when he was mean and rude to Isa. I also loved seeing Isa realize her own strengths and the scene where she seduced Demetrius, hubba, hubba!!!

A hero who struggles to save the heroine from himself is my kind of hero and Isa soon starts seeing through him and after two books of seeing them circling around each other we finally see their wonderful journey.

I can't wait for Orpheus!!

Throughout the first two novels in this series, Eternal Guardians, I was curious as to the reason behind the volatile emotions between Isadora and Demetrius. If you haven’t read the beginning of the series; Isadora is the Argolean princess and heir to the throne. In book one, Marked, she starts off being demure and pretty much lets others walk all over her. As the series progresses she goes from being a timid princess to a strong future queen. But one constant in her life for the last two hundred years has been the Argonaut Demetrius and the vile way he treats her. I mean, I would hide under my bed if I heard this warrior coming. Intimidating doesn’t even begin to cover how he comes off! Well in Tempted, we finally learn the reason behind his bad attitude.

Book three picks up right after Entwined, where Isadora has been kidnapped by witches in hopes to bring back a powerful warlock to flesh. Demetrius rushes to her rescue only to escape one hellish nightmare before being thrown into the next. Sent to a mythical island, cloaked from anyone and everyone, for a sadistic enemies pleasure; Isadora must depend on Demetrius to survive and trust him with her life. As these two are thrown together hidden feelings are reveled and we learn that Demetrius has pushed Isadora away to protect her from the evil inside of him and the threat he poses to the kingdom. But can he trust Isadora with his secrets or will the truth be revealed before he has a chance, making Isadora doubt Demetrius’ true intentions and forcing him to embrace that dark part deep inside that he’s buried for so long.

Tempted was a riveting story and every page left me craving for more! Elisabeth Naughton really delivers with this third installment, my favorite of the series so far! She blends the series seamlessly together with Isadora’s story weaving a gripping tale while building upon the complex and vivid world she has already created with the first two novels.

One of my favorite parts of Tempted was the growth of the two characters Isadora and Demetrius, both as a couple and individuals. Isadora steps up here, proving to everyone that can and will be queen and is fully capable of that position. While readers get a deep look into the cold and standoffish Demetrius, to find out that there is a good heart underneath the hard exterior; even if he can’t see it himself. The plot was intensely emotional and action packed with surprising twists thrown at you left and right! The series really reaches a boiling point here and the novel ends with major cliff hangers for two loveable characters that while maybe not Guardians, they are still heroes in their own right. The amazing cast of this series add such dimension to it that the story comes to life from the pages.
Eternal Guardians is an exciting and original series that I would recommend to all romance lovers.

The next release in the series is Enraptured, April 2012, and features my man Orpheus. Someone I was drawn to at the start. He puts on such a bad boy front but can’t seem to say no to those in need and I know there are good intentions under his supposedly selfish actions. April can’t come fast enough for me!

Recommendation : If you enjoyed Zsadist's story from BDB then give this one a try. It has the same sort of feel to it. If you liked the first two books of the Eternal Guardians series then you will like this as well.

"Demetrius who we are is not a result of where we come from. It's the combination of what we do and how we live that determines who we are."

We dive head first into Isadora's wedding day. That's right I believe this was man number 3 that she has to marry since the other 2 found their soul mates. But Isadora goes missing. Everyone thinks that she ran away again but this is not true. She was kidnapped by her lady's maid and brought to Atlanta, who reminds me of Malevolent from Sleeping Beauty, so she can cast a spell on her. While the Argonauts are trying to figure out how she left she is being prepared for this spell.

Now I know you are all wondering what this spell is that Atlanta is casting. Don't worry I will tell you. She is casting a fertility spell on Isadora. This is all so that Atlanta can create the her own chosen one. Before the Argonauts can get to her in time the spell is cast and Atlanta sends both Isadora and Demetrius to their own private island. This island ends up being where all the mythical creatures have been sent too. In order to survive they have to work together. Will they manage to get along or will they kill each other? If they do get along can Demetrius manage to keep from fulfilling Atlanta's wish?

Side Notes:

* Loved how we get to see the real Isadora. She was quiet and shy in the first book. You see her grow a little in the second book, but this one you get to see her shine.

* Demetrius reminded me of Zsadist from the BDB series. Dark past, scars from abuse, and the whole don't fuck with me attitude to tie it all together. We do however learn that Demetrius is more than just an Argonaut. He has some deep dark secrets that must be overcome for him to give himself completely to Isadora.

* I think Orpheus became my new favorite character. His love and concern for not only Isadora but his brother was nice to see. Plus he is quite funny throughout all the books so far.

* I thought that Isadora and Demetrius's story felt a little rushed and topsy turvy. Since this one felt like Lover Awakened by J.R. Ward I could not give it more than 4 stars esp. since Lover Awakened is my favorite of the BDB series.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and would recommend reading it. I thought there was plenty of surprises to keep me guessing mixed with hot & steamy scenes.

This third book featured the “mean” guardian Demetrius, the one who relished every opportunity to torment Princess Isadora for reasons unbeknownst to all. In fact, his disrespect was so appalling in the last book when the King had ordered him to marry Isadora that he said he would rather be put to death.

After Isadora went missing with her hand maiden right before her binding ceremony to Zander, the guardians began looking for her. Demetrius was able to find her and rescue her from his mother, but not really since his mother banished them to the island of Pandora. Demetrius’ mother was hoping to find a way to get her son and Isadora to become involved so they can have a baby. She would use this infant and it’s power to reclaim her rightful place as an Argolean ruler.
I am really intrigued with this series because of it’s potential, not the execution. In fact, this story has more holes than the last one.

My 2.5 Major Issues:
1) Hera’s curse: Theron hated female humans—thus his mate Casey was a human. Zander---well, I don’t exact understand why Callia was his mate as I don’t know what he hated about her. But I know he hated an action that he thought she did. Demetrius hated pathetic, weaklings, thus why he seemed to hate Isadora.
But this novel implied that Demetrius was aware that Isadora was probably his mate for a really long time. So why did he continue to treat her so reprehensibly? He went out of his way to terrorize her, yet he has a shrine in his place. I don’t get it. If he suspected she was his “curse”, isn’t it inevitable that they will fall in love anyway? Also, why did it take so long for their feelings to kick it because Theron and Zander seemed attracted to their mates from the beginning?

2) Background check: I don’t know about being an Argonaut, but my job performs background and reference checks before an offer of employment is extended. How is it that no one knew anything about Demetrius’ lineage before they appointed him one of a handful of eternal guardians to protect humans and Argolean’s from the Daemons? In fact, they didn’t know he was part witch, only that he was of Jason’s line. How is it that Theron didn’t even know where Demetrius lived, when this is the guy whom you trust to save the world with you?

Minor Issue) Their government set up reminds me of the power struggle that ancient Rome had with the dictators always fighting with the Senate for control. The political scheming etc. Why didn’t Lucian face some kind of backlash for remaining quiet about his son’s involvement with Callia’s son and the deal with Atlanta. I need more answers and better answers. I am not getting them so far but I am not frustrated yet. I am still open.

Ultimately, I am giving this book a four because it makes me want to keep going and neglect the other books that I planned to read because I like Gryphon and Orpheus. So despite the issues, I am still invested in the story, that’s why I bumped it up from a 3.5star to 4-stars

Could this series get any freakin’ better?! Elisabeth Naughton has become one of my new favorite Paranormal Romance authors and once you read this series, you’ll understand why! She takes Greek mythology, puts a paranormal twist to it, spices it up with smokin’ hot Argonauts and a steamy romance & then gives us non-stop suspense & action to keep us on the edge of our seat until ‘THE END.’ In my humble opinion, Tempted was the best yet and it quickly made its way to my Favorites of 2011 list!

Demetrius is the Argonaut that everyone loves to hate, but that’s by his design. He has kept everyone at arm’s length, never letting anyone get close, because he is afraid they will learn his secrets, and man does he have a few major ones. I have to admit, I’ve had a soft spot for Demetrius ever since we met him in Marked. He called Isadora out on her spoiled princess ways when no one else would, and I loved that about him. He is fierce, strong, loyal & loves with everything that he is. The revelations into his life & history are shocking, to say the least, and leave you with such empathy towards his suffering.

Isadora has not been my favorite character in this series. While she was o.k. in MARKED, in ENTWINED I thought she was very selfish, self-serving & petty. She had this spoiled brat attitude about her and that always turns me OFF to a character. When I found out she was the heroine in TEMPTED, I’ll confess, I was a little skeptical. However, she seriously stepped up to the plate, grew a set (didn’t you know women could do that, lol?) and became the Queen that she has always been capable of. She found her voice and wasn’t scared to use it anymore. There were several times throughout the book that I was going “YES!!! Finally Isadora got a backbone!” By the end of the book, I loved her and was so glad that her character was written in such a way. It made me love the book even more!

The love story between Demetrius & Isadora was absolutely beautiful. Although it was a long & rough road for them to get to the end, it was so utterly & completely worth it. Their journey was full of twists, turns, monsters, Gods, meddling & smokin’ HAWTNESS. Never have two people deserved each other or the love that they give to one another more.

So Ms. Naughton, I know that TEMPTED is just releasing tomorrow BUT, when can I get my hands on the next one & who will it be about? I’m dyin’ over here!!!!!

Tempted is one of those books I really REALLY wanted to like. It's the third book in the Eternal Guardians series. The world has been built, though the author adds enticing tidbits to keep things interesting. The hero is one I wanted to know about, and I wanted to see the heroine's true colors. Demetrius was the hero I most wanted to know his story, even though the signs pertaining to his relationship with Isadora pointed out the obvious. The problem with this book was that it was actually too long, in my opinion. While I'm all about throwing up roadblocks for the H/H to overcome, the number in this book just bordered on the "way too many, get it over already" edge. The author is talented, her world-building is excellent, and I do like her characters. I just didn't like these two quite as much as I wanted to. There was just a little too much angst for my tastes.

That said, this is a book worth reading, especially as it moves the series along nicely and adds a few new twists to the overall plot arc.

Well, the good part about this book is that the main characters are not what they have been showing the world for 200 years to be. The bad thing about it is that I still don't like them. Hehe

The plot was okay but the heroine spent 2/3 of the book unconscious and the hero either trying to save her foolish hide or running away from her. That sums up the whole story.

There are things I REALLY disliked about this story that should have warrented a much lower rating. Demitrius’s deplorable actions toward Isadora, along with his constant, “I’m not good enough” attitude was enough to make me throw the book against the wall. I couldn’t, though, the story was just too riveting to allow it.

*warning: for those who skip or skim sex scenes, this series may be a hard one to read.*

Demetrius is now my #1 Favorite Hero!

This series is about the seven guardians. They are the descendants of the original seven Argonauts who journeyed with Jason to find the golden fleece. The Argonauts were favored by the Greek Gods and granted a home called Argolea. They protect their kingdom and the world of the humans from daimons, who are lead by Atalanta. She was an Argonaut not favored by the Gods (because she was female) so she made a deal with Hades for immortality.

The series involves the Argonauts (the Eternal Guardians), the Argoleans, the misos (who are mix of half argolean/half human), humans and the daimons, and don’t forget those rascally Greek Gods who are always causing trouble.

Demetrius is a Guardian with one hell of an attitude problem; he is descended from Jason; he protects the humans and the people of Argolea; and he knows two things for sure: (1) Princess Isadora of the Argoleans is his one sole mate; and (2) he is hiding a very deep, very dark secret. Why be nice to his fellow Guardians? If they knew his secret, they’d turn on him. What about Isadora? There was no way he can get close to Isadora, no matter how much he wants to. If she knew him…knew about him… He spends two hundred years intimidating her, being mean to her, keeping her afraid of him. If she hates him, he can protect her, but not be tempted by her. Then Isadora is kidnapped, and after rescuing her, Demetrius is trapped with her and danger is all around them. He needs to keep her safe and close. Now he needs to fight the dangers outside, and the temptation inside himself.

A few months ago I read an interview with Elisabeth Naughton where she was talking about her upcoming book Tempted and about it’s main character Demetrius. If you read the first two books of this series, there’s no other way to say it, Demetrius is a JERK! He’s pushy, condescending, and outright nasty to everyone. Right then I decided I needed to read this book and this series, because I wanted to know, “How are you going to make me like this guy?” Well, I’ll tell you, after reading this book, Demetrius is now my top favorite hero of all time!! He does all the wrong things for all the right reasons.

Definitely put this on your must read list!

Rating: 5 stars + 1 big kiss for my hero, Demetrius

Tempted
4 Stars

Descended from Jason and the witch Medea, Demetrius is the darkest and most secretive of the Argonauts. As a result of his secrets, Demetrius has built barriers between himself and others, especially Isadora, heiress to the throne of Argolea and his soul mate. But now circumstances have thrown Demetrius and Isadora together and they will have to overcome their differences if they are to survive the perils to come.

After a difficult start, this series is finally making strides and living up to its captivating mythology.

At the beginning of the series, Isadora was nothing more than a spoiled and pampered princess whose submissiveness inevitably resulted in the image of a weak and ineffectual woman who would be nothing more than a political pawn once she gained the throne. All of this changes in Tempted as Isadora finally comes into her own, growing both in confidence and power as the story progresses. My one small nitpick is she tends to spend much of her time, especially in the first few chapters, unconscious or sleeping while the action goes on around her.

Demetrius is the epitome of the grim, glowering and enigmatic hero whose internal conflict results in his distancing himself from those he needs the most. The twists and turns on his path toward confronting his personal demons makes for exciting reading and the last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat.

While the focus of the book is on Demetrius and Isadora’s engaging love/hate relationship, there are also some developments in the ongoing storyline pertaining to the Orb of Kronus and it will be interesting to see where Naughton takes this as the series continues.

I didn’t like that Isa was always having to be rescued by Demetrius. Honestly. I identify a lot with Isadora and I know how hard it is coming out of your shell and letting the world see you for the strong woman you are. But all I saw was a girl playing at being strong. I didn’t see it. You can’t just be timid one moment and bold the next. I’m sorry, but it’s just not realistic. It’s a gradual process.
When someone says something hurtful to you, especially when it’s someone you love, it sticks for a long, long time. They apologize, you forgive, but you never forget. When you’re at your lowest, those hurtful words come back to haunt you. Demetrius, apparently, had been doing this for 200 years to Isa. A lot of people contributed to her low self esteem and unfortunately Demetrius is one of them. He bullied her. The excuse being that he wanted to protect her. Bullshit. There were other ways to ‘protect her’ without tearing her down and making her feel like shit. I wanted to see a lot of grovelling. But nope, we get an excuse as to why he did it and meek acceptance.
Overall the book was meh. Writing was good, although there was next to no humour. I didn’t laugh out loud at all. Comparing it to BDB—just no. It’s not quiet at that level (the earlier works). It’s an average book, good for killing time, but I honestly won’t read this series again unless it’s gets better.

PS. Someone compared this book to Zsadist’s book (BDB) saying it was similar, or something along those lines. I politely disagree. This is nowhere near that book. Like, not even in the same orbit. Zsadist was just— *sigh* it lingers still. I’ll probably forget this book in a week.

Tempted is the exciting third book in Elisabeth Naughton's Eternal Guardians Series and let me just say.. Third Times the Charm! Which is pretty impressive since I have been all but drooling over the first two books! Ms Naughton returns us to our Guardians only to find that the Princess Royale is missing! A full scale search has been launched and the wonderfully angry Demetrius sets out with Gryphon and Orpheus to find and rescue her..

First off, I would like to say what a wonderful delight trio that was. Gryphon, solid, secure and soft hearted.. Loyal to duties and his brother.. Orpheus, the big brother that was passed over when Gryphon became an Eternal Guardian.. who holds some secrets all his own and Demetrius, the Guardian with the most delicious secrets..

*********************************************************

*Grins* Did you really think it was happily ever after that easily? Seriously even those they trust the most are ready to do some serious damage to them.. Isadora must confront all those who have termed her weak and stand up for what is right!! Demetrius must not only reveal his secrets but accept help from the most unlikely places..

This is an absolutely awesome book! and a total must read! So far the best of the series.. This series has just grown in intensity, plot and power with each book, so of course I have great expectations for Enraptured, which will be out in April and is Orpheus’ story!!

Goodness can I have my own Demetrius?

This book was effing fantastic! I loved the plot, the main and secondary characters, the side stories, the romance, the combat scenes and the gore. Just amazing, really.

Whilst I was reading, I was surprise Isadora has a lot of admirers. Especially the guys, regardless either they're good or evil. I counted five who wish for her and of course, Demetrius won her heart. And my heart broke for one of them too. I hope what he expected was the false one and someday he found the true one. Please Ms. Naughton grant my wish and give me/us Nick's story! All Argonauts, too? Please?

To Book 4 now. Recommended.

There's just something about this series that keeps me reading, and I've enjoyed all three books so far! I've been waiting for Isadora's and Demetrius's story, and, really, it didn't disappoint. The ending, in particular, is emotional and very, very good.

Orpheus is up next, and I can't wait!!

" Изкушения " от Елизабет Ноутън.🖤
Дотук любимата ми книга от поредицата. Знаех си, че така ще стане с книгата за Деметрий. 😭🖤💔
Историята му е просто 😭😭💔💔❗Винаги така става.
Много трагедия, обрати и разкрития. За малко да имаме трагичен финал.
Но всичко си заслужаваше накрая ❗
Оценка 5 ✨ от 5 звезди ✨🖤❗
Може и да съм пристрастна ❗

I absolutely loved this.
I was intrigued by Isadora from the first moment and waited for her to shine like I knew she could.
She totally did!
More hints have been planted on things to come and I can't wait to follow Orpheus on his quest.

FYI - I really stink at writing reviews

Third book in the “Eternal Guardian” series.

First I wanted to say how addicting these books are. Elisabeth’s writing, depth of story, surreal characters claimed me by the first page of Marked, that never waned one iota with Marked, Entwined, and Tempted. I was instantly swept away.

Now I was a little leery going in Tempted only because a friend was not happy with Demetrius’s attitude. She did not think he redeemed himself enough, did not grovel enough. Yes, to put this as frank as possible, Demetrius was an ass of the first order in the previous two books.

Everything, from his reasoning’s became apparent in Tempted. “I” seen where he was coming from in the why he felt the need to behave so shoddy and crappy towards her. Not everyone is going to understand that, which is fine, their loss or maybe I do have a shred of empathy as friends accuse me of.

Now I did not see the loop about Nick in there, though I really hope he finds a lady despite all that is learned in there.

As for Isadora… In Marked she was too timid, too meek, and really just aggravated the heck out of me. She had no backbone; however, by the ending of Marked, and through Entwined Isadora really showed growth in her character. That growth appeared in Tempted.

She was a heroine that I could like, do like in fact. I really like it when a heroine comes into her own, and Isadora clearly does that in Tempted.

Along with Nick finding a special someone, I clearly want to see more of Orpheus. Okay, he’s totally won me… and needless to say that I want the Council to choke on gravel (yes I can be a bloodthirty gal, maybe it's because I was born beneath the red dragon sign). Cannot wait for more installments of this series!

This was another great book in this series. I always like the guardians and the fact that you get a look into the mythology that it is based on. The characters are all very tortured in one way or another whether they deserve to be or not, this just makes them seem more human. The story moves along at the perfect pace allowing for changes in venue and character as they fill us in on what is happening. The language never fails to entertain with words that seem to be pulled out of the past. I was pulled in and not allowed to stop except for those emotional moments I could not help it.

Isadora is a princess who always finds herself in trouble. She has been kidnapped and is about to be sent to the enemy, Atalanta, for what she is not sure. The witches, one of whom is her handmaiden, have given her a potion so she can be taken a man she does not want. Their plans are thwarted when the guardians, including Demetrius, arrive to rescue her and are met with serious resistance. When Demetrius takes her and Gryphon through a portal they end up in the last place they should and find themselves taken captive by Atalanta.

Demetrius has been hateful to Isadora all of her life but the person he truly hates is himself. Demetrius has been hard on himself for something that he could not change anymore than anyone could their origin.

I am so into these stories because I feel so deeply about the characters. These stories have intrigue, romance, hatred, myth, warriors, damsels in distress, and heroes galore. Definitely give it a try.

I must say that this one was just perfect for me! 5/5 stars for Demetrius & Isadora! :) when i first met them in book 1, i knew then that they were soul mates and couldnt wait to read their story. It just kept me hooked from beginning to end.

Ive always loved the tortured hero type. Now we all know why demetrius is the way he is with Isa. Isa was just perfect for demetrius! Ive loved how from being timid she became the confident and strong princess who fought for demetrius. She was the perfect heroine for this story.I also loved they were trapped in the island and how they got closer to each other everyday!

When i got closer to the end i kept on thinking how this would all end. I wanted them to have a happily ever after like her sisters--but then elisabeth naughton never disappoints! It was beautiful that it was confirmed that isa is now pregnant with D's child and then how the king abdicated the throne to isa so she could pardon for demetrius. She fought for him and for the kingdom.

And wow it was a great twist to how nick is the half brother of D and how they came about in the world but it was just sad that since they were twins, they only had one soulmate and it was Isa :(

Isa was brave as she faced down the council, her father, hades, and apophis. Her transformation from timid to brave just made the story interesting!

Now looking forward to Orpheus story! :)

I have to say I think that this series is getting better as it goes along. Tempted focuses on the Guardian Demetrius, his soul mate, and his secret. I liked the way Isadora finally came into her own, but Demetrius stole the show. One of my favorite type of characters is the brooding damaged male whose game is completely thrown off by a female. That is Demetrius all over. He is big, strong, dark, and cruel, but in the presence of little 'ol Isadora he's...well maybe not an awkward, blushing teenager, but definitely not himself. It makes me smile. The smex was pretty amped up too. There was no lack of steam here. I did get tired of the Robinson Cruso routine after a while. I thought the plot stalled for a little bit, but not long enough for me to consider dropping it or anything.

Yet again a fabulous ride through the argonauts world, these books are exciting and enticing all the way through, but the endings are something else.

If you loved the bdb books you will love these.

Given this 5 stars as characther development, angst, romance, sex, adventure hot argonauts that are are so brooding at times but so hot.

The heroines are strong and in this book isadora comes to life so strong and sensual too especially around her man.

Her hero try's to keep his distance, torments himself and her in doing so - even as they get closer he tries to pull a way for her good, but fate has other plans for them and nothing will be easy.

Ok, I have to admit, I have no sympathy with the Argolean society. They are just a bunch of patriarchal sexists. This instalment with Isadora and Demetrius feels like "Survivor - Paranormal Style". It was ok but I just don't care enough for the Argolean world and I wasn't sure whether I would continue reading the series.

However, I have to say that the ending is giving me some hope about things changing for the better. Let's see what Ms Naughton has in store for us in the upcoming books.
