Includes five bonus epilogues never before published!
Welcome to The Shepherd, where your darkest desires are our utmost delight. Follow the lives of ten broken men as they couple off and find true love in each other. This collection includes all five books of the His Command series, and features five bonus epilogues never before published—one for each book.
Obey: Omega rehabilitation counselor Owen doesn’t need an alpha in his life... but that doesn’t stop Crawford from giving him his collar.
Beg: Recently liberated from omega rehabilitation therapy, Lucian’s only just learned to say “No.” It’s too bad that night after night, Marcus makes him whimper, “Yes!”
Stay: When an accidental pregnancy forces troubled omega Adrian to bond with Sterling, the alpha he hates, the arguments aren’t the only thing bound to get hot.
Heal: Broken omega Gabriel needs an alpha to hold him together, to love him, and to give him a family... and professional Dom Cedric just might be the man for the job.
Breathe: When a scorching online relationship leads to an unexpected pregnancy, Oli has to decide whether Marshall’s terrible secret is something he can shoulder, or if he’s better off alone.
Piper Scott debuted as a trio of authors looking to write together for fun. Their collaboration led to three novella-length books (Love Me, Save Me, and Keep Me,) before life sent them in different directions, leaving just one author with an omegaverse plot bunny that wouldn’t leave her alone. Obey was born several months later… but the plot bunny never left—it multiplied.
Left to her own devices, Piper Scott writes scorching but heartfelt contemporary omegaverse romance about men you can’t help but fall in love with.
HIS COMMAND - Complete Series. Passions, kinks, caring couples...
Five omegaverse tales of deep passions, Mpreg, BDSM, D/s.
OBEY: Completely captivating couple ! Omega Owen, 22, and Alpha Crawford, is 32. Owen is sad, lonely and troubled, but has come a long way. He is a counselor for other Omegas. Crawford, businessman, wants to take care of Owen. He’s not a typical Alpha, and their courtship is marvelous. A terrific Dom/sub with a twist. The Shepard club is where their needs began.
BEG: Alpha Marcus, Criminal Lawyer, 39, and Omega Lucian, 21. An omega’s sad past, and Marcus is missing what he craves. Marcus is lost in personal loneliness, no challenges to spur him, when he meets Lucian, who is a survivor of sex trafficking, who starts bar-tending at The Shepard. BDSM, suspension, blindfold, bondage, D/s, explicit, rawness and passion mixes with power.
STAY: Younger Adrian, sassy, troubled soul is reaching for the wrong solution. Sterling, owner of The Shepard kink club, has never found his need met. A deep story of Adrian’s guilt in losing his brother, Gabriel, plus Sterling sees something in Adrian he wants, something he can sooth. Also they deal with Adrian’s folks, and the pain of loss. Wild BDSM, caning, Bondage, humiliation, and more. Marvelous epilogue for these men, and their new family bond.
HEAL: We learn so much about Gabriel, 21, back from being a sex slave. Nothing has worked to change his brainwashed thinking, Sterling tries a new way. Cedric, 25, a trained Dom, tattooed and pierced, says yes to taking Gabriel as a client. Each man is complicated, and has been through a lot in their young lives. Pain, grief, loss, and then rediscovery. It’s tender and overwhelming.
* These tales are compelling, soul-searching, heart wrenching pasts, some violence, gritty, highly sexual, along with hope, patience, understanding and met with TLC. This is an M/M omegaverse, Mpreg set.
* More to come as this is a five story set.... these should be read in order. Next up is Oli, down-on-his-luck, and the mysterious, ill Marshall... in BREATHE ...
BREATHE: OMG ! This one has big feels, tears, and heart strings pulled. Snarky, sassy and funny, Oli/Oliver, 27, has lots of bad luck. Oli and Marshall, 47, connect online for months, but finally meet at an event for The Shepard. Marshall is ill but doesn’t tell Oli. We see all of the couples in this one, their progress and caring. Oli and Marshall have problems, but their sex is super hot, including breath play. Just when I thought dark times were coming, our brilliant author gave us hope and a path to happiness. A terrific wrap up of these tales.
Outstanding writing, emotional personalities, riveting sex scenes, and epilogues with satisfaction.
I got through 78% of the book and while I enjoyed most of the stories, by the time I got to Gabriel’s I felt the author had dropped the ball of this series. This is the first mpreg I’ve read and it was interesting.
Now for the reviews of the actual stories I read. I didn’t connect with either Owen or Crawford, but I thought that their story was sweet. The introduction to the kink club was good, but nothing happens there and this isn’t what I’d call a kinky story... aside from the mpreg.
Lucian and Marcus’s story we at least got to see some actual kink (if not much), which made the story slightly more interesting. The part I loved best however was the outrage Marcus exhibited when it came to Garrison. That was perfectly perfect.
Adrian and Sterling are my favorite characters from this series and as such their story is also my favorite. Nothing is better than non-traditional roles for alphas and omegas. Adrian is a dominant omega and surprisingly enough, Sterling is an alpha that submits for both his own release and to provide Adrian what he needs. To my mind this showed just how stereotypical archetypes can be so it was refreshing to see that switched up. Don’t get me wrong, Sterling is absolutely capable of sending Adrian to sub space, but he doesn’t need to have control all the time. The way their relationship came about and the hurdles they faced made the story all that much more compelling.
That brings me to Gabriel and Cedric. Gabriel is a broken submissive brainwashed by many years in an abusive situation. Cedric is an alpha that used to be paraded around the kink club as a submissive. It’s awesome that Cedric embraced his submissive side for two years, but him being a dom for the next 4 and then never again acknowledging his submissive side, drove me utterly batty! Gabriel is an unbelievably sweet character who I wanted to connect with but just couldn’t. I hated that Cedric basically shelved his submissive side like it never existed other than for a couple of flashback scenes. How are these two supposed to be perfect for one another when one is denying part of his true self and the other isn’t capable of providing what he needs? Also, Cedric’s views of his own actions in relation to Gabriel rubbed me wrong. Not that they were wrong per say, just that they didn’t come across well.
That left me throwing in the towel before I ever read Oli’s story. I really don’t want to know... *sigh*
I've read most of these books when they were released on their own. Reading them all back to back was a completely different thing to do. You get to see all the reactions and how everything is all interconnected, which is totally awesome. I mean, I knew they were from the beginning, but seeing how it is this way is so different.
I love how we see kink manifesting in the different relationships, according to what meets everyone's needs. You get everything from the fairly loose kinkery to a pretty much TPE relationship. But, the relationships work, the people are loving towards each other, and everyone grows and strengthens themselves as well as their partners. Isn't that what a good relationship is supposed to do?
The bonus epilogues are just even better, they add a nice cherry on top of the icing of the whole cake. I love all these guys and I would love to see more of them. I can't even pick out a favorite in there.
This is the first time I have read a LGBT book and I can say that it won't be my last. Ms. Scott had me at the first....and had me falling in love with the men in this series......definitely a great read.
I adored this collection! I was awesome to have all the individual books in one and to read them together. They tied in really well and I appreciated not having to flick through multiple books - the characters are all intertwined so it's an effective setup in terms of narration and plot.
Owen and Crawford are the first couple and it packs a punch as the first story in the series. It's sexy and delicious, a clever game of cat and mouse with Crawford coaxing Owen to come into himself. It's all about Owen learning how to let go, trust and live free of his own self imposed isolation. An emotional devastating backstory for Owen adds some angst and tear jerking moments. A tender but spicy pairing.
Lucian and Marcus come next. I was a little wary of this coupling - Lucian's backstory involves sexual slavery and abuse. He has completed his therapy and the majority of his experience is glossed over so it's not too explicit but it still left a bad taste in my mouth. It's usually a feature in stories I do my best to avoid but it's handled well and works to add to Lucian's characterisation. Marcus is a delight, sexy and seductive. Their dynamic follows the "forbidden" relationship trope and it works with the ending being an explosion of a sex scene (YUMMY) and a tender epilogue.
Adrian is our "villain" from the previous story and I almost skipped this story because Scott does such a good job of villainising him at the start. I'm glad I didn't because straight away she spins it around and you can't help but bleed for Adrian. You want him to get his happy ending with Sterling to the point where you're almost pulling your hair out with frustration because you just want him to have nice things but he's getting in his own way. This story was a nice departure from the previous two - we get a versatile D/S dynamic here rather than the standard one and it works very well with the characters.
Gabriel is Adrian's brother, back from being kidnapped years ago. This was probably the story I liked the least. Gabriel's backstory is Personally, I really hated that and I found it hard to really lose myself in the story. HOWEVER, it's written extremely well and it makes sense. Gabriel's journey to recover, his relationship with Cedric - it works well and the ending he gets is 100% worth it for the angst you're dragged through beforehand. That's the one thing I have to tip my hat to the author for - I always get my happy endings with babies and that's literally all I want.
Oli and Marshall close off the story and they're not as tied to the other characters (eg through family). Oli takes part in Gabriel's story but I think Marshall only got a cursory mention MAYBE in the first book? So the epilogue with all of them together was sweet and I loved it but I just felt like a tighter link was needed. This story brings in the angst with some but I enjoyed it as the cap at the end of the collection. The sex is fun, Oli is a hilarious hoot and Marshall is a tender man.
A great series with lots of happy endings and babies. A fantastic read :)
I've only just started reading Omegaverse books probably within the last year to year in a half. However, like with all books I like what I like and sometimes there are certain authors that I find I just absolutely love. Piper Scott is one of those authors I've actually come to love reading. I will say 4 out of 5 of these books I really loved. The last two, Heal and Breathe were probably my absolute favorites! So let's start with what story I didn't like.... Stay is probably the story I could've skipped if I wasn't worried I miss so much. I can't be the only one who absolutely hated Adrian. Even after learning about his homelife, growing up with the family he did, and his brother's disappearance I still don't even feel as if he redeemed himself and still just didn't like him. In regards to the relationship between Sterling and Adrian I felt it was Sterling constantly having to prove himself to Adrian...and yet Sterling was always there like a lost puppy dog to lap up what little attention Adrian granted him.
Now on to the good parts ;) -Obey: Owen and Crawford. I really enjoyed this story. As a counselor, Owen has seen many Omega's come through the rehabilitation center that have been used and abused. Given his own past he doesn't plan to allow himself to give in to an alpha, much less allow them as much power as Crawford seems to be requesting of him. -Beg: Lucian is a recent release from rehabilitation. After being forced into a situation at a young age and having no control over anything that was happening to him, it's empowering to control what is happening in his life now. But for all his new found independence, Marcus makes him want to chant yes, yes, yes to everything he is offering. -Heal: One of my favorites from this collection. Gabriel was kidnapped and his view of the relationships between omega and alpha was shaped by a man determined to undermine and reverse any rights omega's have fought for. The relationship between Gabriel and Cedric is so beautiful. While Gabriel will never view himself in the way his brother wants him to, Cedric just wants Gabriel to be healed and mental aware that he shouldn't just give in to what some people (like Gabriel's captor) view as a traditional omega's role. - Breathe: It's tough to determine if Heal of Breathe is my absolute favorite of this collection. I really loved Oli and Marshall. Marshall has the world at his fingertips and all the money to afford medical intervention necessary to combat his illness. But for Marshall what is the point when there's nothing but work to live for? However, once he meets Oli in person he knows he's now found his reason to live. But is it too late? Will Oli stand by him?
I did not understand what I was getting into. I do not go for the whole male pregnancy thing. And the idea of there being omegas that go into heat twice a year? I will be more careful in the future since I now see there are more books similar to this by other authors. To me, this might has well been an alien romance. I love PNR books and enjoy MM every now and then. I certainly like my romances to be on the much kinkier side but this is beyond what I can enjoy. Obviously, there are people out there who do enjoy it and to each their own.
I wouldn't have left a review since it isn't the author's fault this isn't my thing but I also didn't like the writing style. It was very dry. There were a lot of grammatical errors. I read the entire first book, skimming about 1/3 of it but it would have been easy to put down. I was in a place where I had some time to read but couldn't easily pick out a new book. I also wanted to understand the whole knotting thing. It's a good thing that doesn't happen to humans in real life - a whole lot more people would get caught cheating!
I have never read any M/M books before this one I decided to try out due to curiosity and we all know what they say curiosity does. Yep I should have left it alone this book was so freaking weird it made absolutely no sense at all! I'm a huge paranormal romance fan, I have enjoyed a few omega verse style books. I also really like the more kinky books too...however this book went against everything I ever knew about the whole omega verse. I almost didn't finish it during the very first book when she dropped the first bomb on me when some how the men in these stories the ones that are omega's can actually get pregnant! WTF?! How the hell is that even possible supposedly the omega's have all the reproductive organs as women do so yeah they can get pregnant and give birth. I believe if she would have left that out I could have rated it higher but no she decided to create her own little world with her own rules and it really made no sense at all and I didn't care for it one bit.
His Command is one of my favorite omegaverse series. This bundle collects all five books as well five epilogues. The books are wonderful and follow five different couples who are interconnected by friendship and family. This series has a lot of dominant alphas and their submissive(ish) omegas, as well as kink galore. But this book is more than just hot knotting sex and mpreg – it also explores the different themes of what it means to have an identity while falling in love, and how to heal from trauma. The epilogues are super sweet and I loved seeing where each couple’s future was headed after all the stories were done. This bundle is a great purchase and I highly recommend it.
Really enjoyed this bdsm series of 5 books of men associated with a bdsm club called the Shepard in Aurora. Each book had different characters with their own issues, struggles, strengths and complexity, all ending HEA. Characters continue through the series adding new primaries each book. Alpha-omega mpreg stories -very enjoyable-never got bored. Story to sex scenes ratio was good -didn't get bored or tempted to skip pages as I do in many mm romances. I look forward to more books from Piper Scott😊
The relationship and love between these ten men are so heart melting. The dedication of these alpha men in the story to help their omegas are romantically sweet. I hope all these are our reality being faithfully strong for somebody you love inspite of everything they had gone through is a relationship that is bound to be for ever.
This is an amazing book series that us worth reading! I really hate it had to end. I'm hoping for more stories from this group. I loved how the kids stole the show in the books as well. I would definitely recommend it.
Loved these. Loved everything about these books. I wish it continued. I wasn't ready to have their story end. Piper Scott definitely a favorite author now.
I loved all the stories, became involved with all the characters lives and I just didn't want the series to end. I was left with the knowledge that the male character I liked best was the complicated Adrian. Amazing, thoughtful writing
Usually I'm not the biggest fan of these types of books let alone a series, but this one has to be the exception!! I really enjoyed the friendships and relationships that developed in this series.
This is the complete box set of the mpreg series featuring omega’s finding their centre in giving up control to the Alpha they fall for and the beautiful families they create
I absolutely loved this series! Great storylines, fantastic characters. Fun, sweet, kinky and sexy with a good dose of emotion. Definitely recommend this book.
