When a serial killer strikes a small Alabama town - anyone could become the next victim, or the main suspect . . .
Ben Logan, a former soldier, and now the successful owner of a private security firm, can handle just about anything. Well, anything except a run-in with Riley Carpenter.
When Ben joined the Marines, he never looked back, and he broke his best friend's heart in the process. But when a murderer targets his city, he's forced to return after a fourteen-year absence--he's forced to face Riley. He's not sure if he can make amends, but he knows one thing for certain: he won't leave until the killer is stopped.
Riley's world was destroyed the year she turned eighteen. A tragic loss and a broken heart left her wondering if she'd ever be truly happy again. Now, as a successful doctor, the last thing she needs is to have Ben back in her life, especially when she's in the middle of dealing with a new tragedy.
With a psychopath on the loose, and the town living in fear, Riley soon discovers she has to accept Ben's help, even if she doesn't want it. But as the two become close again, will past secrets and unexpected desires ultimately tear them apart once more?
Brittney Sahin began writing at an early age, with the dream to be a published author before the age of 18. Although academic pursuits (and, later, a teaching career) interrupted her aspirations, she never stopped writing—never stopped imagining.
It wasn’t until her students encouraged her to follow her dreams that Brittney said goodbye to Upstate New York in order to start a new adventure in the place she was raised: Charlotte, North Carolina. Here, she decided to take her students’ advice and begin to write again.
In 2015, she published her first novel, The Safe Bet. When she is not working on upcoming novels, she spends time with her family. She is a proud mother of two boys and a lover of suspense novels, coffee, and the outdoors.
Talk about descriptive and suspenseful, The Final Goodbye is Brittney Sahin's final novel in the Hidden Truths series and the best one yet. That's coming from a huge fan of the previous novels and a lifetime Jake and Alexa (Surviving the Fall) supporter. We follow handsome, charming Ben as he seeks to protect his former friend, Riley, from the hands of a murderer in a small Alabama town. Riley and Ben have 17 years of friendship behind them and several more years apart, each hurting from loss and unable to find forgiveness for each other or themselves. The murderer brings them together and even though it's a terrifying time it forces them to finally work through the buried resentment and pain. Ben would do anything to protect her, even allow her into the walls he's held up so long, and Riley is finding her walls were always willing to be lowered for him.
"His words were hard around the edges, like an uncut diamond scraping against her skin, leaving a mark."
The Final Goodbye, in my opinion, is the most suspenseful of the five books in the Hidden Truths series. The small town atmosphere, the secondary characters involved, and unpredictable murderer made this the kind of book I had to read in one sitting. It's incredibly highlightable and I could picture every scene as they played out on the pages. Plus, we get to see a second-chance romance unfold at the same time; who can say no to romance and suspense? Not me. I loved the storyline, I think it was the perfect mix of romance and suspense. In the midst of being scared the two lean on one another, blurring the lines of their hurt and anger and finding that the love they once shared as friends hadn't changed. I thought I had the novel predicted, then it changed on me, and then it changed again, so by the end I wasn't sure what was going to happen, to the couple or in the case with the murderer. The mix of the whodunit along with Ben and his friend's detective skills was entertaining and exactly what I like to see from the Hidden Truths men.
"'You guy need to back off. Passing blame around won't help us find the killer ... ' 'Unless we're looking at him ...'"
I loved Riley and her strength. That girl is determined and stubborn, but also clearly hurt and realing from present and past losses. She's my favorite type of heroine, the kind who owns her life and her choices, even if one of those choices is choosing the one who at one time didnt choose her. She and Ben have so much heavy between them and highly doubt they would have ever worked through it all had they not been forced together by death and Ben's desperate need to protect. Ben is the kind of guy who gives the shirt he's wearing to you, because you need it more than he does. It's impossible not to like him and even more impossible to not fall for him alongside Riley. He's a daredevil, and a bit gruff, but he has a heart of gold that happens to beat for the girl he once hurt in his youth.
"So, he still had a heart. She hadn't been sure until now."
Those who haven't read Brittney's previous novels will really enjoy this as their first and longtime readers will be very happy to know we get to see a bit of our favorite past characters as well. I love when an author can make a book in a series a true standalone, but the little easter eggs are a nice treat, especially when your favorite book boyfriend pops up. ;) I'm sad to be saying goodbye to the series, but it will be one I revisit again in the future. Plus, I'm lucky, I have a spot for every single handsome Hidden Truths man on my bookshelf.
"The look in her eyes matched what he felt on the inside: regret."
Rcvd an ARC at no cost to author.. Nooooo I did not want to say goodbye.. We have Ben's story and we read what Ben the way he was, god I felt for him and loved him. He gets a second chance with long ago love interest Riley. Riley was the girl he always loved, but never made a real play for her because she was his best friends girlfriend. Then tragedy struck and Riley blamed him, but did she really? Or was she feeling guilty because who she truly loved was Ben? Well my friends these questions are answered and more when you read the book and I can happily say that we get a glimpse of previous characters but I truly did not want to let go of these loving Marines...You will not be forgotten.
Spice meter is about a 3. While this wasn’t quite a 4-star, it was close, so I rounded up!
Overall, I found this one to be a completely acceptable final book for this series, I really got frustrated with the main female character; we will get into that.
This is a second-chance romance that spans 14 years before they finally are back in the same town. Damn that’s a long time. The reason for the return is the death of the dad of one of their friends, who died back when they were about 18 from a climbing fall.
You have Ben Logan, who is one of the guys that is from the friend group from the other books.
Then there is Riley Carpenter, aka the girl, now woman, he left behind.
So, essentially, Ben heads back home to Alabama to attend the funeral/wake of his dead friend Nate’s dad, Ralph. Ralph was murdered. So the suspense part of the book pretty much starts with a bang. Riley stayed in town and has a practice as a psychiatrist.
Right from the beginning, I think it’s sort of obvious that the murder of Ralph evolves around Riley, because, of course, it does, or it wouldn’t be a worthwhile story to tell. The issue I had with it was that even thinking she was a suspect was kinda ridiculous. But okay, I could suspend my belief on that for a bit. As things rolled along, though, it was obvious she wasn’t, and I won’t say more because that would give it away.
But let me say one thing … you know how I knew who it was. Because nobody talked to the person, put them on a suspect list, nada. It was like this big green light saying, “over here, over here,” and impossible to ignore. I had a feeling from the beginning, and by about halfway, pretty much had it all down except for one small detail that came out in a weird way.
Now, what I didn’t like about the book was two things. One was Riley, the female lead. She was as dumb as a box of rocks. For a woman who was a psychiatrist … damn she was stoooopid. I won’t say more because again that would give away probably one of the more important parts of the book, but it was a culmination of that combined with other shit that had me raising my eyebrows at her a few times. She did finally get her shit together and be there for Ben at the end, so at least there’s that.
Second, I hated the tropes, which I honestly try not to judge because even sometimes when that is the case, Brittney Sahin can write around them okay for me. In this case both of them annoyed the shit out of me.
Second chance romance and love triangle are the two I’m talking about. Firstly, 14 years … that was just a bit too long, and the reasons for them not talking and/or seeing each other, etc., were just really a stretch. I’m sorry, I probably rolled my eyes multiple times when it was mentioned. And her hating Ben because of it … again eye roll moment (along with me mentioning her being dumb). The other was the love triangle with her, absolutely awful ex Daniel. I say awful in the sense that he was like a leech, which was kinda a dead giveaway.
Alright, I’m not saying anything else. Overall, I know it sounds like I hated the book. I didn’t, but it wasn’t the best of the series either. It being one of her older series, I give her a bit of a leeway as well because her writing and plots have grown so very much from when she started and finished this. So I’ll always be there for her other books.
Brittney Sahin does it again with another read with suspense, mystery and of course a hot ex military man and the one woman who owns his heart. This time it’s the final man Ben, whose story we have been waiting for, and what a story. It all started years ago with his best friends Nate and Riley. The three were inseparable since birth until a tragic incident separates Ben and Riley, Ben runs away leaving Riley to deal with her emotions on her own. Years later he returns to his hometown when he believes Riley could be in danger and it opens up past hurts, guilt, anger and hate/love for both of them. Another AMAZING AMAZING read that had me glued to the pages trying to figure out the mystery of whodunnit, with twists I didn’t see coming and blowing me away at the end. Not only that but the emotions flying of the pages between Ben & Riley, made me feel like I was right in the room with all the tension and the hate/love relationship. As well as the steam coming off of these two would fog up windows and the sparks would cause a fire. A read with steamy sensual scenes, a read with amazing dialogue and banter, a read with suspense and mystery, a read that flowed flawlessly, a read with two characters I couldn’t help but fall in love with, a read with past characters making a final appearance, a read with an ending and an extended epilogue that brought tears to me eyes. A read I was sad to see end and I CAN’T WAIT for more from this author !!
4.5 stars Ben, Riley & Nate best friends from childhood. The three musketeers, exploring life and testing their limits until a tragedy occurs and changes everything.
Ben Logan, former Marine, now owns a personal security business in Vegas. He makes good money protecting the rich & famous. Gets a call from his mom that his best friend’s father has been murdered. Ben is stunned. He hasn’t been home to Alabama since he left for boot camp 14 years ago.
Riley Carpenter, the best friend left behind is now a doctor, a psychiatrist. Despite being offered many lucrative job opportunities she chose to stay in her small Alabama town. The one person she wants to avoid is the same she secretly longs to see, her best friend Ben.
The wake of Nate’s dad brings them together in an unexpected way. They are tasked to carry out his last wishes and forced to face their past. Riley wants answers on why Ben left and shut her out when she needed him the most. The murder mystery has Ben staying close to Riley, to keep her safe. Long denied feelings start to surface causing them to finally talk and share their fears. My chief complaint with this story is Riley. As a mental health provider, she was clueless when it came to dealing with her personal relationships.
The epilogue with all our couples at the end was very sweet. The bonus epilogue was heartbreaking to read. So happy Ben found his forever love. 💞
They say love makes you do funny things...like not seeing or talking to the love of your life for 14 years, and it being your choice....
When tragedy strikes Ben Logan's hometown he must finally face the woman he has been in love with since he was 14, although shes anything but happy to see him. Riley had all but moved on with her life. She is a successful doctor, has her own practice and a new best friend. No need for Ben to come back, she has things handled.. or so she thought...
I absolutely LOVED this book!! I could not put it down!! This is not the kind of book you just read and move on to the next, you feel the characters aches, mistakes, and heartbreak. You almost feel like you have stepped into the book itself and are living out the story with them. Brittney Sahin knows how to write characters and chemistry! This book gave me goosebumps, made me tear up, made me laugh and cheer for good to finally come to those who deserved it!
I don't want to give anything away! You just HAVE to read this book!! It will not disappoint!
Let me tell you, Its NOT what you think!!! I am usually good at figuring out the "who done it" before the end of the books, but Mrs. Sahin is cleaver. There are gut renching moments, light-hearted banter, the loss of loved ones, the way the characters are written as if they are real living, breathing beings and more importantly, fining out if true love really does exist and can it make it through all the tragedy and devastation.
Sometimes you simply connect with someone. It's inevitable...fate... destiny! But what happens when that connection is so overwhelming that you lose sight and your way? Ben and Riley become our story.
As teens, they were part of a trio but tragedy strikes leaving these two to comprehend and re-evaluate their lives. Unfortunately, they didn't reach the same conclusion. Now, years later, a war, school, budding careers and another tragedy see the couple reunited. Old wounds and deep pain plague them both. He doesn't see himself as a good man but Ben will draw his last breath to protect Riley, his secret and her heart. Riley doesn't carry a chip on her shoulder but a huge boulder. Ben was the beginning and ending of her heartbreak. But their small town becomes the target of a killer forging an unlikely team with this couple.
This storyline was small-town newspaper front page. And the journey this couple traveled both broke my heart and gave me hope. Sometimes all you need is a second chance. So many what-ifs, what might have been and why didn't we. Tense moments, drama, dark forces and heavy duty chemistry blanket these pages. Along with a few "didn't see that coming".
I voluntarily received this ARC. This is an honest, personal Review! Page turner that you won't out down!
This story absolutely gutted me. Oh, the yearning between these characters and knowing that had been childhood best friends was heart-wrenching to suffer their pain and angst. But, oh, the reconciliation. The combustion radiating off the pages melted my retinas and enflamed every last cell of my body. (Fairly certain I'm gestating a "Ben Logan offspring" right now.) Talk about an epitome of everything romance heroes strive to attain and embody. I even cried in sympathetic empathy of Ben's "final goodbye". And I don't emote so that's telling. Rarely do I give a 5-star rating but this book deserves seven stars.
When tragedy strikes a small town that turns into a circus nightmare, someone has to catch the killer. This is the case of "Whodunit" with a side of romance.
This is the story of Ben and Riley who were forced by fate to come face to face again after 14 years. While trying to catch the serial killer they must also face their own fears to have a chance at love again. The falling out could've been remedied right away, but if your bond with someone is so deep that you can't see beyond guilt you'd rather sacrifice yourself than break it.
With so many suspects in question, you can't help but suspect everyone and that's the beauty of this story. It's like reading an Agatha Christie case in millennial time! Ben's marine buddies are also to the rescue. Do you think you will be able to guess who the killer is? You must read this to find out! I'm so sad to see this series end but I'm happy that Ben finally got his story and say his FINAL GOODBYE.
I would love to give this a 5 stars but Brittney set the bar too high with Jake's story (Surviving the Fall) that it felt short in excitement category for me. Nevertheless, it's still an enjoyable read.
A killer in his hometown makes him come back there after a lot of years. Nothing will prepare Ben for seeing Riley. This is not the book with an immediate attraction that would make both main characters jump onto each other. There will be a lot of sparks and emotions going on, but what will happen between them as they got back into the same town after that a lot of years? Ms. Sahin painted great characters and plot that made me open my mouth with all the sudden twists that were out there. A great read that will take you on a GREAT journey!
❤️📖 This is the 5th and last book in the Hidden Truths series 📖❤️
Ben seem from the outside as a bachelor, who is not interested to be in relationship, manages his security company in Vegan and enjoys his life.
In reality he suffers inside, from the time, he was a teenager, fell in love with his girl-bestfriend Riley, his male-bestfriend Nate loved her too. So he decided not to show his feeling. The last step to feel totally broken was Nate´s accidental death and so he decided to leave. But now he is back, and is afraid to meet Riley again, because his feelings are strong as ever.
I enyojed this last book so much, because this time this story was so intense, because there was not only the chemistry and atraction but Ben and Ri had to go through painful common past, and it was not easy to just sit and talk, it took some time to trust and explain for both of them and it was so nice to see that both cared for Ralph ( Nate´s dad) and at the end it was Ralph who brought them together again and gave Ben and Ri the chance to be together.
The plot was great again, I love this mix of romance and crime and the spice scenes 😈🥵🌶️ wow wow, when you have no idea who is the bad guy, great great great again.
Men of the Hidden truths series are very intensive and actually I can´t choose the favourite one, each one and each story was great and the female characters were so different but all so strong and able to make these guys to fall on their knees. I love their loyalty and when one had problem they were ready to come and help.
I highly recommend to read this whole series, you won´t be dissapointed.
“The Final Goodbye” Hidden Truth Series, Book 5 by Brittney Sahin
Ben has loved her from afar all of his life but he had to leave. His best friend Nate loved her too and he was no longer here, so being with Riley could never happen.
Riley hates him but also still secretly loves him. Fourteen years is a long time to try and forget the one person you are meant to be with. They were the best of friends but after that tragic day, he just up and left. She wants answers but how can she face him? He has never replied to her emails, never once wrote to her…
Ben has no choice but to see her again. The death of a man who has played a big part of their lives has brought them back together but at what cost? Danger is around and he needs to protect her but what if she won’t allow it? Will she be able to get through the past and allow him in?
Riley and Ben have to face the truth and all secrets are revealed. The heartbreak of loss will consume you. You will feel their pain as though it were your own. The love between two people who are meant to be together all along with captivate you. The sex scenes are hot and explosive! From best friends to lovers…
I love that the characters have their own POV. The story was so beautifully written with all the feels. You will cry, you will laugh and you will forever be grateful for the loved ones in your life.

Trigger warning Accidental death Murder Violence on mfc Kidnapping
Ben Logan (mmc) Nate (mmc dead best friend) Riley (mfc, friend of mmc, girlfriend of Nate) Ralph (Nate's father, murdered) Jeremy (patient of mfc) Mandy (mfc best friend) Daniel (mfc ex)
Over 14 years ago, Ben and Nate were out climbing with Riley when Nate fell to his death. It was a horrible accident that changed everything. Riley was Nate's girlfriend but also Ben's best friend. She lost them both that day; Nate physically and Ben emotionally. Ben went into the Marines and then got out to play pro-ball. Riley became a shrink with patients who have a history of attacking her. When Ben comes back to town for Ralph's funeral, she lashes out at him. She doesn’t know that Ben has always been in love with her. He stepped to the side so Nate could have her. But losing Nate the morning after Ben kissed her sent him running from guilt. There is nothing to change the past. Now, with a murderer running lose, can Ben protect her? Or will he leave her behind again?
Plot twist. I knew part of what was going to happen, but not exactly who was involved. It took longer for me to read this book because, at times, it felt like it was dragging. But that could have just been me having a bad day.
This was the final segment in the Hidden Truths Series, The Final Goodbye is Ben and Riley’s story. Ben and Riley grew up together and separated after a tragedy when they were 18. Now 14 years later, they are reunited after a serial killer surfaces in their home town. What follows is a rollercoaster ride through long suppressed deep emotions, suspense, and danger you won’t want to miss!!!
Riley and Ben are on the trail of a serial killer in their town, racing against time before the killer will murder again. Having to overcome misdirection of the case and of course the suppressed feelings from their past, they race to save those they love from certain death. As the clues come together Ben and Riley get closer and then have to face their past and work to reconcile the trauma they experienced as kids. The tension (sexual and criminal) blend together to provide that wild ride I mentioned.
I was hooked in the prologue and couldn’t put this book down until I finished. Then I was sad to know it was not only finished, but the end of an enjoyable series. On a good note, there are other Brittney Sahin series to read!! I enjoyed bringing the characters from the past books in for a guest appearance and loved catching up with their lives. This is the first series I’ve read of Brittney’s and I’ve already downloaded the next to read more!!!!
Book 5, the last book in the Hidden Truths Series. I love how the writing of Brittney Sahin pulls you into the world of the characters and you feel all the feels that are written on the page, good and bad. Nate, Ben, and Riley were the three musketeers growing up, always together, even when Riley started dating Nate. When tragedy struck, and Nate died just before Ben was to leave for college, their lives changed. Ben left to join the military and Riley stayed home in Alabama, the two never speaking until 14 years later when Ben goes back home for Nate’s dad’s funeral. This is a story of second chances, although there is also a murderer that needs to be caught as well that pulls the two of them into closer quarters. This is one of the few stories where there isn’t a lot of second guessing, they tell each other what they’re thinking, what they’re feeling, and eventually, what they have always felt. They both go through their own moments of shame for how they dealt with things when they were younger, but they also acknowledge that Nate would want them to be happy, even if he isn’t there to share their happiness.
The Final Goodbye is book five of the Hidden Truths series by Brittney Sahin. This book can be read alone but reading the four books prior will add to this book’s background but is not required. This is an entertaining book; it was my least favorite of the boos in this series. I kept trying to skim the pages and skip ahead. I think it just took too long to develop. I wanted to shake both of them to just open up and communicate. This book is about Ben Logan a former Marine, and current security firm owner. Riley Carpenter is Ben’s former best friend, love interest, and current Dr. Murders are happening in Ben’s hometown, current hometown of Riley. This book was easy to figure out and just took too long. This is part romance and part suspense, so if pure romance is what you want this might not be it. BUT it is a well-written book, with a great plot. There is no cheating, no cliff-hanger, a dual POV, 296 pages, and HEA
A very moving story of young childhood friendship lost & love found - independent people not wanting to be vulnerable.
Ben is best friends with Nate and Riley all born at the same hospital, same time they were thick as thieves! Until they turned 18 they were always together. A tradgey and young guilt, secrets pulled them about. It's not until another tradgey puts they back together to work through a serial killer, rescue and the biggest fear letting go of secrets and taking the risk. This is the perfect book for friends fearful of the risk of crossing the line, but worth it for a soul mate. Special operations action to hear up the story. Romance, suspense steamy and humor. Violence 2 sex2

The Final Goodbye is a fitting end to the Hidden Truths series. Brittney Sahin has created a unique set of characters and paired with storylines that have fast paced action, hard hitting suspense, deep emotions lots of steamy scenes and abiding love. Ben Logan and Riley Carpenter were best friends since infancy. Torn apart by an unbelievable tragedy, fourteen years elapse between the last time they saw one another and his return to their small Alabama hometown. To say their reunion is rocky is an understatement. There's a serial killer on the loose and Ben is hellbent on keeping Riley safe. Things aren't adding up to Ben's satisfactions he calls for extra help. Meanwhile, it finally is time for some complete honesty between Riley and Ben and what they each reveal shocks them both. Hopefully it's not too late for them to have a chance at happiness.
Sensual, Steamy, Sexy, Romantic Love Story and Serial Killers Action Thriller Rolled into One!!!!
Wow!!! Some many twists and turn between love connection and a serial killer on the loose in a small country town. The undeniable sexy love connection between Ben and Riley is off the charts!!! There is so much drama between the two. There's a story why the haven't seen each other in 14 years. Such an intriguing sensual, sexy, Steamy love story! Ben has to also keep watch over Riley with a serial miller on the loose. He has calls on Adrian and Ava, and his military brothers to help out. On a again his military brothers and wives fiancees all together saves the day.
Such a fitting and engaging story to end on a very high note!!!! I COULDN'T put my Kindle down!!!! I gonna miss the gang!!!!
I loved Ben and Riley’s story. Childhood friend Riley dating Bens best friend Nate. Nate dies from a free fall from climbing when they were teens. Ben always loved Riley since childhood but because she was dating his best friend he stayed away. 14 years later he never stopped thinking about her or Riley about him. Someone starts to kill people close to Riley. Ben comes back home for a funeral and it all begins. This good has a sexy hot ex-Marine,love,mystery & suspense. I couldn’t but the book down. This was the first book I did of their series and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Brittany Sahin wrote a series but you don’t have to read in any order. She is a fantastic writer and I love everything I’ve read !
A friends-to-lovers and a second chance romance rolled into one and a satisfying mystery makes The Final Goodbye a great read. The tragic death of their friend Nate drove Ben & Riley apart for 14 years. They reunite when Nate's father is murdered. In the intervening years, Ben became a Marine & Riley a psychiatrist. Neither is happy and it takes Riley getting into serious danger as others close to her are murdered, too.
Ben is a strong but guarded man who has never forgotten Riley or given up loving her. The action & mystery are first rate. The love story satisfying. It could have been steamer for my taste, the love scenes being on the suggestive side.
Told in 3rd person, split between Riley & Ben, I highly recommend The Final Goodbye.
I like this book much better than the previous four. I started reading this author with the stealth ops series, and I really love those books. But this series here wasn’t quite as good to me. This book is a good lead in to the Stealth Ops series and seems to be written in a more similar fashion.
This one had a pretty good story, though. Ben is the last of the five guys from the series. He goes back home because a serial killer is on the loose and is threatening the girl he left behind. We get to see Aiden and Ava again, as well as Jake and Alexa. This time they get to help Ben the way he has helped them in the past. I don’t always enjoy second chance romances, and that kind of goes for this one as well. But it all worked out, so that’s good.
6 stars! I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but this one may just be my favorite! I adore a good second chance romance, and this had all of the elements I look for. I really fell for Ben and Riley. I was hooked by their past and just loved watching them grow close once again. The plot was really interesting, and there was a good amount of suspense along with the romance. I was also surprised by the twist at the end, which I always enjoy. The epilogue was adorable, and the bonus content after the epilogue was just perfection. I really couldn't have asked for more! I'm sad to see this series end, but I can't wait to see what this author comes out with next!!
Ben and Riley were the best of friends when they were kids, along with Nate, they were always together until a tragic accident tore them apart. Ben couldn’t stay and so he ran and Riley couldn’t leave. They haven’t spoken for years and so when Nate’s dad is murdered, he has an obligation to come to the funeral and to see if he can help find the killer.
When she sees him she realises he is all grown up and things aren’t the same between them. She is angry. The past cant stay in the past. She needs to realise she could be in trouble and he is just the man to help her!
Well written (as per usual with Sahin) and the characters are interesting. But I found it kinda bland and average compared to my other faves by Sahin. As the story carried on, it was easy (at least for me) to learn who the killer was. Sometimes that doesn't bother me much, but this time around I sorta groaned at the reveal. Because once it was all together, it just felt silly to me, I dunno. There was plenty of good stuff in this book and it certainly wasn't boring, at least, but in the end...it was pretty forgettable (hence this embarrassingly "micro-esque" review).
