The Trials of Apollo Books (1-2) 2 Books Collection Set By Rick Riordan With Gift Journal includes titles in this collection :- The Dark Prophecy [Hardcover], The Hidden Oracle. Description:- The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo Book 1) How do you punish an immortal? By making him human. After angering his father Zeus, the god Apollo is cast down from Olympus. Weak and disorientated, he lands in New York City as a regular teenage boy. Now, without his godly powers, the four-thousand-year-old deity must learn to survive in the modern world until he can somehow find a way to regain Zeus's favour. The Dark Prophecy (The Trials of Apollo Book 2) The god Apollo, cast down to earth and trapped in the form of a gawky teenage boy as punishment, must set off on the second of his harrowing (and hilarious) trials. He and his companions seek the ancient oracles - restoring them is the only way for Apollo to reclaim his place on Mount Olympus - but this is easier said than done. Somewhere in the American Midwest is a haunted cave that may hold answers for Apollo in his quest to become a god again . . . if it doesn't kill him or drive him insane first. Standing in Apollo's way is the second member of the evil Triumvirate - a Roman emperor whose love of bloodshed and spectacle makes even Nero look tame.

Love it. I just finished this book again. There are many series in the Percy Jackson series in this order. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Kane Chronicles, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, Trials of Apollo. The Trials of Apollo and Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard happen at the same time so you need to read them at the same time. But The Trials of Apollo is longer it and is still going on. There are also add ons to each series.
HI Guys ... This time the series that I have read about The Trials Of Appolo, and I have read series 1 is about the journey of the god Apollo, who was punished by Zeus for his mistakes and sent to earth as an ordinary human without any power. In this story I feel very interested in reading this because Apollo has to complete his mission and also serve a young demigod. Apollo's journey this time to free his ancient Oracle that has not been detained by 3 Emperors who have lived forever and want to become gods, before this ancient Oracle was ruled by the Emperors. Compared to Kane Chronicles, I am more excited to read this series because I feel familiar with the terms given by the Gods. The player also does not need to be introduced further because it is already known from the previous series. Moreover, there is my favorite character Percy Jackson even though only as an additional actor in this book but still shows his greatness. This first book tells the story of the first time Apollo was "banished" to earth and met with his employer whom he had to serve for some time named Meg who was the son of Demeter the Plant Goddess. This is where Percy appeared even though it was really brief. Well, the Oracle to look for is the Dodona Gardens with the enemy of the first Emperor, Nero the Wild. Because, a hero needs a prophecy to carry out his mission so from this book we will get the next place that should be headed by Apollo. Apollo had never felt so despicable in four thousand years of his life! Everyone knew him as the most handsome, the most talented, and the most popular. However, now his amazing form turned into a curly-haired, geeky teenager, with a pimply face and a sagging stomach called Lester Papadopoulos! The God of Music no longer has even one divine power and inadvertently instead makes himself bound to be an errand boy a teenage demigod named Meg. Who made Apollo condemned to become a mortal and ended up in one of the trash cans in New York? What should he do to regain his form and return to Olympus? The story opens with Apollo falling from the sky, stranded in a trash can, barked, saved by Meg, a quirky short-haired girl, then Apollo is forced to be his servant because Meg is a demigod (though her parents are unknown). They then went to Percy's house .. I could not help smiling like this during the scene, there was Percy and Sally and Sally were pregnant, he would have children. From there Percy took them to CHB, and you know the style of Om Rick, ((( not as easy as that Pulgosso, said uncle Rick.)))) so they were blocked by spirits. At CHB there was a problem again. The missing campers and of course the oracle Delphi that usually possessed Rachel didn't work, because Pithon (the original Oracle Delphi watchman in Greece) left Tartarus during the seventh war in the series. If Delphi can't work, automatically the forecast doesn't work, if the forecast doesn't work, automatically nothing the campers can do: ’) because they have to carry out missions based on predictions. Only Apollo can return all of this. He is responsible for releasing Delphi from Pithon. Unfortunately a thousand dear (not that easy Apollo) apparently Pithon was controlled by the enemy. The enemy of all the good people who have been in books 1-10 of the PJO and HoO series. Yes, so the short story in this first book tells the story of the first time Apollo was "thrown" to earth and met with his employer whom he had to serve, who knows how long it will be named Meg, who is the son of Demeter the Plant Goddess. In my opinion, Apollo also has an arrogant nature so many gods hate him. I was flinched when I read this book and found out that there are many Greek gods who have a history of deviations. Luckily I chose to enjoy the book and was not too concerned with the problem of deviation. And Mr. Rick wraps up this work with funny jokes, poems and strange songs but still humorous. And Ithink iam very interesting with this novel and I recommended for all of you to read this book. So, I take the moral value for this story that is, "Don't think too much about yourself, or be selfish in some way, because we are human, and we live with other people's dependencies and need help from others :-)"
Thought it would be a quicker read like Percy Jackson. I only made it through the first book if the series and it was very hard, it took about 6 months
I've read the first in the 2-book series and it follows the same formula as the prior series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians and the Heroes of Olympus series. They are great books for a fun and quick read and I am reading with my 11-year-old grandson which is very awesome. We aren't reading them together, but we talk about them and loan each other the books when we are done. I gave him the Percy Jackson series after I'd read it and then the Heroes of Olympus series and he gave me the Trials of Apollo series.
They are totally worth your time to read and wonderful for kids. They feature kids from age 8 to teenage and deal with ideas and circumstances kids can understand and think about.
Just finished the second book and it leaves you with the knowledge there is a prophecy and another book (or two) to go to finish the story. It was a good and fun read.
Juts...no. I love Percy Jackson, Heros of Olympus, and Kane Cronicales. This was just not it. The only good thing was Apollo being dumb. That was funny.
