Germany is in the World Cup final and Berlin is once again dreaming of a summer fairy tale to forget the war-torn world for a short time. But not everyone can or wants to get carried away. Udi, Roy, Serösha, Üzüm and Cato do not fit in, as much as they try. Queer, across, just arrived, again on the run from each other and everything around them. And yet with the same wishes as all: after an arrival, after being lifted up, after family, house, child. A short hot summer of departure that not everyone will survive. Ovid's metamorphoses serve Sasha Marianna Salzmann as a foil for the marathon into which she sends her characters – in search of an ego far away from old ascriptions.

Sasha Marianna Salzmann ist Theaterautor:in, Essayist:in und Dramaturg:in. Für ihre Theaterstücke, die international aufgeführt werden, hat sie verschiedene Preise erhalten, zuletzt den Kunstpreis Berlin 2020. Ihr Debütroman Außer sich wurde 2017 mit dem Literaturpreis der Jürgen Ponto-Stiftung und dem Mara-Cassens-Preis ausgezeichnet und stand auf der Shortlist des Deutschen Buchpreises. Er ist in sechzehn Sprachen übersetzt.
