Xavier Lee was stolen from his family. The rare white wolf omega belongs to his future alpha husband.
He’ll run before he vows to “love and obey.”
When handsome werewolf John offers to help Xavier escape, his mission of one becomes a team up.
John Waterson has helped free wolves for years. None draws him like Xavier.
The primal wolf side of John wants to claim Xavier. He vows to protect the omega from the terrifying agents trying to capture him, but can't help also seducing him.
When Xavier winds up pregnant, both will have hard choices ahead. Can they make it to freedom before it’s too late?
I liked An Omega on the Run by M.H. Silver and Kellan Larkin. It's the first book in the Wulfbrin series, and it has potential. I liked the idea that rare omegas are kept separately in an academy until their contracts are sold to an Alpha. I also liked that humans know about the shifters but at the same time that they are kept separately. The story could have been tighter put together there were some inconsistencies, and sometimes I was left wondering why the main characters did what they did. But overall an enjoyable read and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
Xavier is a werewolf, more specifically an omega who possess magic and healing, and who was taken from his adoptive family when he was just a child. Now his time is up - he's been told that he will be sent away to a husband he has never met, so he plans to escape and run away. When he sneaks out, he runs into John, who helps him, and the two are thrown together as they try to get Xavier to safety.
I enjoyed this story, although there was just a LOT going on, too. For me, there was so much going on (being on the run, the enforcers, Xavier's family, trying to get to the safety of Wulfbrin island) that it seemed to focus on that more than the relationship between Xavier and John, and it left me slightly wanting as far as their UST and chemistry went.
I get that since this is the first book in the series, you have to get the world building established, and I appreciated that these authors did that. I just wish there had been a bit more of the relationship between Xavier and John, especially how it jumped from Xavier just discovering he's pregnant to 9 months later. I'm the type of mpreg reader who wants to see some moments during, not just conception and birth.
Still, I am interested in this world of magic and shifters, and I would read another one from this duo!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
👍👬🐺Excellent romance on the run as Xavier and John risk it all for freedom and find passion along the way! March 8, 2018 Format: Paperback 💕🔥👬Really good m/m paranormal romance, well-written fast-paced, and populated with interesting characters. Great back stories for both John and Xavier, the MC werewolf shifters who undertake a perilous road trip to safe haven, and secondary character Celeste.
I really loved the world building the author provides for this version of an America, populated by humans who don't like dealing with supernaturals and have militarized enforcer federal agents to maintain an uneasy status quo. I also appreciated the author's explanation of the mechanics of omega male pregnancy. Many mpreg authors keep this unexplained. I prefer having an explanation so, thank you!:-)
I have not read other books in the series but that was no problem. This is a full standalone story with a well-developed and heartwarming finale. If you like some m/m 🔥steam and lots of 😱 suspense, this one's right up your alley. Violence is kept to a minimum and not too graphic, though there is some mention of experimental use of wounded animals.

Very good story with John, pure black werewolf that’s is undercover student/guide that helps in need werewolves and Xavier a rear white werewolf that holds white magic (heals). They both have similar backgrounds as kids and taken and ‘trained’ for their futures. Only Xavier was sold into a marriage of wealth and the future of ‘popping out kids’ and haven them stolen for their abilities. John has the opposite of future. This starts when X waits until nighttime before being shipped off when he makes his grand escape by himself until the gate is his first and troublesome obstacle until John is there to help, then they make their escape that will take over States, meeting new people some very interesting people and people form X’s past and someone from John’s past that’s will involve enforcers and the worse enforcers in the werewolf community.

If you love action packed and Romance mix together, this book is for you to read. The shifter story was really good. I loved the way the author built the world for their characters. It was different from other shifter books I have read. I loved the shifter and magic combo. The running away in a car to running on foot. Who to trust, who not to trust as they were on the run. I thought it had a nice pace and pulled at my interest till the end. Didn’t want to stop reading was afraid I miss something. I thought Xavier and John had great chemistry. Kisses here and there. They even heated up the pages. I love the on the run feel to it. Felt like I was on the run with them. Very good and hope to read more from the author. Thank you for sharing your book with us.
Werewolf adventure and romance, a bit light on the latter. An omega escapes his fate and is aided by an undercover agent. It’s a story of two guys on the run, accepting help where it’s offered, and evading the enemy. Typos: my copy seems to be defective, as I stopped counting after forty wrong words, missing words, and missing letters in words.
Adventurous, normal mpreg, alpha omega pairing. The universe in this book had been explained more in detail and that's the reason why it is interesting. I hope book 2 is much better. Each character from this book is well developed and their roles are met. A good read after a tiring 16 hour work shift.
I can't wait for the next book in the series. Great world building. It sad that they children are taken so young and put into these schools. But there is a safe haven, if only then can make it there.
The dynamics of the story was exceptionally good. The author keeps you in suspense through out the story as the characters are running from their captors. The love, trust, disappointment, and friendship made along the way make for a very captivating story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. Very interesting with all the magical abilities and the good ones being chased by the bad ones.
