Rate this book
How to use the zodiac to manifest your life the way you were born to live it.

Turning The Wheel of Your Zodiac Soul is the brand new approach and twelve-stage programme from leading astrologer, John Wadsworth. Teaching you how to use the Zodiac as a path to wholeness, John's method will reveal to you 'the revelation of you in the totality of who you are.'

Drawing on over two thousand years of astrological tradition, John presents the zodiac soul using a wheel it is a wheel that is supposed to turn, but will inevitably get stuck and falter during the course of life's many challenges- whether these be around personal relationships, financial issues, health, career pressures or a low sense of self-worth. Through his programme, John reassuringly shows that these challenges all have their place in the wheel, and that our underlying fears and self-defeating behaviour patterns driving them can all be addressed and compassionately transformed.

With John's assistance, you will learn to identify where the wheel gets stuck in your own life and get it turning again. Turning The Wheel of Your Zodiac Soul will offer you a way of making significant changes, guiding you to manifest the life you were born to live.

Your Zodiac Soul is a book for all seasons. John Wadsworth's orginal treatise offers pyschological, mythological and experiential perspectives on the twelve signs of the zodiac. As an astrologer myself I found fresh insights into each sign. Wadsworth shows us we have the entire zodiac within us. While certain signs will be highlighted in our charts, we still carry the imprint of the whole. The exercises at the end of each chapter help to uncover these hidden potentials and bring them to light. They show us how to develop the qualities of each sign and reveal the shadows we might not see.

Wadsworth gives several suggestions for approaching the book. One is to simply read it in one's own time. Another read the book in a month, following the phases of the moon. This gives two and a half days to read each chapter and contemplate the exercises. This is what I decided to do. While I loved doing this, and learned a lot about myself, I often felt rushed and didn't have enough time to compete everything. He suggested one might also take a year to read each chapter, taking a month for each sign. He also offers a year long course on the Alchemical Journey in Glastonbury. This gives the needed time to truly digest his brilliant experiential approach to astrology.

This is a book to return to again and again. Each reading will not only help us to understand astrology, but more importantly, oursevles and the world around us.

I couldn't wait to start reading this book, as I have a recently developed interest in tarot, astrology and the zodiac, and on reading the long introduction, read that it was best to read it with the cycle that it details. Now that cycle begins in March, so not really doable - so I used the alternative suggestion and read the chapters alongside their Luna phases. This gave me a couple of days per chapter. Personally I think that this made it hard to really get into the sign, and I struggled with the questions and tasks at the end of each chapter because of this. (I would recommend starting this book in March!!)
The first few chapters were great, detailing the aspects of the sign and where the energy comes from and how to use that and connect with it in order to understand your body and emotions better. However, as the chapters went on, I found that they spent time detailing old legend and Greek myths surrounding the times and signs, which for me seemed to detract from the purpose of the book.
I have to admit that I am glad to have gotten to the end, and may possibly consider re-reading come March next year, however it won't be one that I recommend out easily which was upsetting when it had so much potential.

Great for beginners, did a good job of tying everything together and the self helpy part at the end of each gateway (house) worked well in that it would help anyone new to astrology to look at how each sign and planetry correspondant applys in your life rather than it just be a chart you can't relate to.
I'd recomend getting a copy of your natal chart and if you are not inclined to spend the whole year with this book, to just work with it alongside your own chart. looking at where you have the most planets, which sign takes up the most space etc.
I also like that some of the astroids...Chiron and Vestra were included.

I loved this book. More than a book about Sun Signs it felt a like a psychology book which had so much innate depth of the soul and its workings. I glided through this book and it felt like I was having a literary therapeutic session. I love it through and through. Kudos to the Author.
