The dramatic and heartwarming conclusion to the Isle of Destiny Series.Neala O’Riordan is no stranger to the sweet and spicy things in life although that’s more to do with running a highly acclaimed bakery in Kilkenny than because of having any semblance of a dating life. In lieu of romantic entanglements, Neala instead pours her love and attention into her rapidly growing business and the in-demand sweets she concocts. When a distraught man storms into her bakery one morning, Neala’s life is turned upside down. In moments, she’s plunged into a fairytale world – and she’s the star of the show. When she learns that the fate of Ireland, if not the entire world, rests on her shoulders, Neala is ready to turn tail and run for the hills – but she’s stopped in her tracks by the storm she sees in the eyes of her handsome protector, Dagda. With one look, Dagda challenges Neala to stay and fight – to accept her destiny – and to change the course of the future. Unable to resist a challenge, Neala throws caution to the wind and joins an unlikely group of magickal humans and fae alike as she finds herself pulled into the adventure of a lifetime. It’s a race against the clock to end a centuries-old curse, and Neala does her best to keep her heart from falling for the quiet charms of her alluring protector. Though her battle to resist her attraction to Dagda may be a lost cause, Neala refuses to lose the fight against the dark fae. With the help of friends from Grace’s Cove, Neala holds fast to her belief that – no matter what – love will always light the way against darkness.

The final seeker has been identified and started on her quest, unfortunately she is detoured as she must go back to rescue each of the previous seekers and the prized possession each uncovered in the quest to conquer the dark side. As usual, much sexual tension is present between the seeker and her protector, but in this case he may not be able to overcome his inability to connect with others in time to save the quest. A fully entertaining series with well woven plot to connect the books to each other and back to the original series, Mystic Cove. I thoroughly enjoyed the series and am now eager to go back and snag the latest book in the Mystic Cove series to see what those ladies are up to now! I love a good cross-over and this was definitely that!
Sphere Song The Isle of Destiny #4 Tricia O'Malley

The Tuatha dé Danann, which means 'the peoples of the goddess Danu' in Old Irish. This series is fun & I love how the Mystic Cove characters show up.
It's filled with the magic of the Fae, Ireland, and the quest to save the isle. The eternal battle of good versus evil, this final story of four is a comfortable, entertaining read to pass an afternoon away lost in the magic of this author’s imagination. 🌹
I have had the pleasure of reading the entire series from the beginning. Has been an amazing experience to read of something good. Keep up the good work and friends will be reading the stories too.
Having read all the books in this series, I was anxiously awaiting the finale. And I was not disappointed. Magick, mystery, romance, intrigue .. this has it all. While it can be read separately from the other books in this series, you'll get a lot more out of it if you read them first. Some characters make debut appearances! I beta read for Tricia, so I was given a pre-publication copy to read in exchange for my honest review. As I always do, though, I bought it the minute it was available.Tricia's novels, ALL of them, are ones I not only read once, but re-read time and again. She has a flair with words and draws me into her stories as only the best authors can do. While this bookends the series, I am hoping for a bit more on "Baby Grace". 😊
When I received my ebook of Sphere Song I made myself wait two days to start reading it then Two days to read it versus my usual reading it the first day in a few hours..Why ?..because I knew it was the last story in this series..Sphere Song is my new favorite by Tricia but any book by her have been awesome.I loved the fast pace of the story and the friends and family visits from the past books.I always feel like I'm traveling along thru their journey and can see the countryside and towns thru Tricias writing. I would recommend reading this series in order to be able to see all the stories and why they were brought together at the end. Another great story by a great author.
This is officially my new favorite book by Tricia now. Oh my words! The adventure (poor past seekers,) the romance (little bit of a slow burn,) the magic, and wow, the feels. I really enjoyed getting to see all the surprise guests from past books. It was a delight. That ending had me in tears. Everything is tied up neatly but now, I just want one more book to read about the after party. I received an ARC for an honest review.
I received my pre-ordered copy of Sphere Song, the last book in the Isle of Destiny series by Tricia O’Malley earlier in the week. I was dying to dive right in to the book but prior to the book’s long awaited release, Tricia posted a very thought provoking question on her Facebook page. She asked her reader’s, “Which Protector in the series is your favorite?” I discovered I had no answer as each of the Alpha male characters had their good points but they also had some major character issues! And much of the theme of the series was being able to come to an acceptance of your true self, with all strengths and weaknesses. So I was unable to rank one Protector over another. So I decided to take a moment to re-read the series thus far. Maybe I could find something that set one character apart from another. I was delighted to find that the series was just as magical to me as it was the first time I read it! Tricia O’Malley is a consummate storyteller She has a gifted way of weaving fantasy into the real modern world. With Isle of Destiny series , she has out did herself! With great finesse, she has taken an Ireland creation myth, complete with magical creatures such as fae, sirens and a few goddess and demi-gods, and set it down in the middle of modern day Dublin. The story centers around a quest for treasure and a battle between good and evil and of course the fate of all mankind lies in who is the winner. At a time where our world seems to be a scary place , with the human race hell bent on destroying one another, when it is difficult to tell who is lying and who is telling the truth and to tell good from evil, Tricia O’Malley’s Isle of Destiny series transported me to a world where “happily Ever After” could be expected. All my concerns, fears and demands of the outside world faded away as I turned the pages of these books. The funny thing is , I am still not sure who is my favorite Protector! The Protectors were Alpha male fae, with of course magnificent physique but also egos to match their beauty. At first it was a little too much testosterone for me! But the female Seekers are not your usual damsels in distress, either. Each of the Seekers had a touch of their own personal magic, strong warrior women. It was refreshing to encounter women who were, strong, beautiful in their own way and who were able to accomplish things in life alone without a mate. Yet, in the end the quest can’t be accomplished until the Seekers and the Protectors learn to accept themselves and each other, warts and all. In the end , I think of Tricia O’Malley’s genius is her ability to get you to really see her characters and imagine them as your friends. I guess I loved them all! So instead of binge watching “Glee” on Netflix, for the last two days I binge read the Isle of Destiny series. I watched the sun rise as I read the last page of the last book, Sphere Song, with tears in my eyes. I knew I would pay for it that day due to my lack of sleep, but it was oh so worth it! I hated to say goodbye to all the seekers and their protectors, the magic , beauty and undying love that poured from the pages of these books. I began to think the only way I could ever hope to function is to move to Ireland, specifically to “Grace’s Cove” and setup a bookstore/tea shop on the main drag!
Sphere Song is the culminating book in The Isle of Destiny. And what an amazing story it is. As the clock rocks down, there is one last treasure to be found. Unfortunately, the Seeker, Neala , has not even recognized her power nor her enemies. Nor has she any I detect in fae, Irish lore, it love. Neala is a loner, content in her own bakery, safe from rejection.
When a crazy, somewhat distraught man enters the bakery and caries Neala out, demanding she help him the otherworldly events begin. One if the Seekers has been taken along with her treasure! Meals is definitely in need if someone to help her.
Possibly because the Goddess has a sense of humor, the Protector, Dagda is also a loner, afraid to set roots again after having suffered rejection by his parents. The Goddess enlisted
However, he is not afraid to take on Blake, nor to become involved in the search for the treasures that will save the world . with assistance from Bianca and Seamus, Seekers, Protectors and the folks of Mystic Cove, there is a battle to be won.
As with each if the treasures, only the Seeker, by looking inside herself can unlock the mystery and claim the treasure. With Dagda's advise "Head back, heart open" will Neala be able to recover the final price in time. And will Dagda listen to the message from Baby Grace?
I usually don’t leave reviews, my bad, sorry about that. No excuses just maybe too lazy? Nope, I won’t answer that. Hey, I’m not that all bad I do the star ratings. Well, anyway, I like the way the stories are written. Hardly a typo as other books I have read and believe me I read a lot. I have read almost all of the books written by this author and everyone of them has been a mystical adventure, or a challenging story of who done it, to just plain entertaining. I have always been fascinated by Ireland’s charms, folklore and the stories of how beautiful it is. Also at times the soulful stories of tragedy. At my age I doubt I will ever be lucky enough to go there to see it for myself, but through Ms Tricia O’Malleys stories I get to live the experience through her own stories and her (for me) ebooks!!
I have mixed feelings about this one. In this seeker's story she has to rescue each of the previous seekers as part of her trials. The three prior seekers are magically kidnapped and taken to unknown locations. They are each given their items they previously found (stone, sword and spear). Their men are crazed and must find them and they all go to Cait's pub. How they know to go there is beyond me. Also, the seekers were taken in one magical swoop but their mates show up individually allowing Neala time to rescue one before the next mate shows up demanding help to find his missing mate. As each seeker is rescued, they hand over their item to Neala with a clue and a gem to go into her necklace saying they can go no further. The storytelling was very good and I enjoyed reading this but felt the story needed something. I did love the ending but it was rather predictable.
Neala O'Riordan is suddenly forcefully removed from her bakery by Blake, the first Seeker Clare's partner. Why? Well Clare is gone, kidnapped directly from Blake's arms and he is both pissed and worried beyond belief. Why Neala? She is the fourth Seeker and is required to assist in finding Clare and the other two Seekers... Well Neala was never one to turn down a challenge - it didn't hurt one bit that this challenge came from her own handsome Protector Dagda. Thus she finds herself forced into the world of the Fae with the very fate of Ireland on her shoulders.
This final book in the Isle of Destiny Series brings back together all of the Seekers, their Protectors, and their friends from Grace Cove as they push forward to find the final item for the Goddess Danu. No worries, Bianca and Seamus are there too, with Neala, through it all.
Adventure, Courage & Strong, Loving, Bad Ass Women
Oh, book 4 is definitely my favorite because the fantastic women from the previous three books show up turning this into a soul satisfying journey.
Lots of adventure in different locations of Ireland, displays of courage when it’s needed most, the opening of hearts to so much love plus personal struggles and bad ass women heroines who pull out all the stops to save the world. What more could you want?
Well written magical fantasy with real world, healthy messages of self-acceptance, the importance of giving to others, staying hopeful in the face of fear, learning to trust others and work as a team and above all, the giving and receiving of love. A satisfying read.
It's hard to find just one word to describe these books but I have had the wonderful experiences and pleasure of reading the isle of destiny Series. I have never been disappointed with any of the books they help me rekindle with my childhood in Ireland again and all I the places I have been to. I have been told I should put my stories and family recipes to pass on to our generations coming both now and coming after me. My family is a direct decadent of King Brian boru. I was born and raised and Dublin Ireland and have the pleasure and honor of visiting all these places areas mentioned in in the book's. Please continue to write more and come visit us in the USA😍
Neala is an independent woman that owns her own bakery and makes people happy. One day a very large man shows up and informs her that she is going with him willingly or not. It's a scary and crazy situation for Neala, but she is soon off on a quest with people she's never met but quickly become like family. Strong, sometimes stubborn men, along with spirited women and the wonderful dialogue between them make this a fantastic fantasy. The quest is a good one that includes fae and magic, seekers and their protectors, goddesses and even a mermaid and a siren. The quest and theme is good verses evil. I thoroughly enjoyed Sphere Song! I hope you read it and enjoy it as much as I did.
I love this author. Her series, the Irish series and the Destiny series are pure magic and a total escape. You will fall in love with Ireland and each of her characters quickly become your favorites. I would love to read another series combining the two casts of characters living and loving in Grace Cove. I am currently living through a high stress time in my life dealing with my dh's major illness. As a caregiver, sometimes you need an escape into a magical place and that is exactly what Tricia O'Malley provides.
This was a satisfying conclusion to this series. I liked the love story here and how the previous seekers influenced the story as well. While this is connected to other series it is fine to read on its own, even though I know there is some character crossover (Grace and Bianca/Seamus the only one I remember for sure being in the follow up series as well). I actually read the Wildsong series before this even though it comes after, oh well. I actually enjoyed the Wildsong series more.
A good series I can recommend, even if things here and there were bothersome (more-so in some books than others).
Fae, witches, fairies, leprechaun 's, Godesses, curses, and magical quests! Really enjoyable treat, like fairy tales for grown-up all set in Ireland which is rich in legends and myths. I enjoyed each book in this series. I liked some character's more than others but then its the same for life - you like some people more than you do others. Each of their stories held my interest. I like the way this Author can weave a tale, enough to make me want to read more of her books. Especially the books that are set in Ireland.
I read all four books back to back so one review for all. Four different woman tasked to find four mythic treasures of Ireland to save the world from the dark fae. They're each assigned a protector (male, natch so romance) and are joined by the real stars of the books, a female human and fae male sidekick. Bianca and Seamus rock.
Pleasant enough. Everyone seemed to accept magic rather quickly but, perhaps, the Irish are prone to that belief anyway. Each woman was different although the challenges seemed like a lot of driving around and fighting off bad guys.
When we read, we always know that good beats evil everytime. These books are so well done. Even though each one has the same story lines, Bringing in evil doing just makes for a great story. The books become more interesting after u read each one. Wanting you to keep reading all her series on these wave lengths. Tricia your books make me feel like I am there too. Fighting each evil. Knowing the live each one has. Thank you again. Look forward to more and more stories following all these characters from Mystic Cove to Isle of Destiny to the next place. Thank you
I just finished this series. Let me say that it stays with you after you finish a book. The life lessons you learn are inspirational. The love that the couples share is heartwarming. The love has been a thread in all the books I've read by the author so far. It makes me wish I'd made better choices in my youth. I'm off to the next series. The Windsong Series, but since the 4th book in the series doesn't come out October 24, I think I'll sneak in a stand-alone book by the author ... Starting Over Scottish. It sounds fun.
I just can't give any of these books 5 stars. There is too much repetition between these stories and it is annoying that when you get a glimpse of individual issues, the author lets them resolve in a snap of a moment that is anti-climatic at best. This book at least let you into Dagda's thoughts right as he did his 180. I can barely get through a series and cannot bring myself to read them back-to-back, so I'm off to see what other stories I might discover. Happy reading!
Loved this entire series. Hated to see it end, but it ended on a high note. This series was full of magic, action, excitement, romance and is an edge of your seat page turner. You will fall in love with Bianca andSeamus throughout the series and watch each couple find the love they never thought possible Wonderful writing Tricia and I look forward to reading The Wildsong Series, I have already read book one. Don’t hesitate, join us in the world of Irish Fae and magic Tricia has created, you will not be disappointed!
Tricia O'Malley is by far one of my favorite authors. I feel like I'm right there with the characters in the story. Just the right mix of romance, suspense, adventure and fantasy! Characters you fall in love with and some you love to hate. I recommend you read the books in this series in order to fully enjoy and understand the story and characters.
Sphere Song by Tricia O'Malley was a bittersweet read for me. It was an amazing book but an end to a series that I absolutely loved. I tried to read Dagda and Neala's story slowly but found myself racing to see what would happen next. It was wonderful to reconnect with characters from the previous books and baby Grace just melted my heart. I hope that this author revisits Ireland in another magical series which I'd one click for sure.
Loved the characters And especially the cast from Grace's cove ! Gave it a after reading the mystic cove series I was expecting more of the same writing guestbook however although the adult content was good and clean went way over on the mushy side way overdone on that side but other than that it was really good and I enjoyed it.I just felt like one minute I was reading an adult book and then the next minute I was reading a child story
Leaves you with a smile and a bit of a pang at having to leave the characters behind. Won't be surprised to see some of the characters in their own stories later on. Wonderful supporting roles with very strong no nonsense females. The very talented toddler in this story is a favorite of mine and I can't wait to see her grow into her powers.
The Isle of destiny series by Tricia O'Malley is a wonderful series filled with real kick butt women and the doubts and insecurities that women to through! Tricia O'Malley is a wonderful storyteller is recommend the series to any and everyone
A wonderful series filled with real kick butt women and the doubts and insecurities that women go through! Tricia O'Malley is a wonderful storyteller I'd recommend this series to any and everyone
LOVED IT!!! even better than book 3! LOTS more adventure and having to RELOCATE the previous treasures that were stolen by Domnu along with the Seekers of each. Each of the Seekers protectors/boyfriends are back of course to help find them. The Seeker for the "final" treasure is responsible for finding ALL of the treasures !! Beloved characters from the previous books are back also. FUN FUN and EXCITEMENT a plenty!!
This whole series has been amazing, I've cried, laughed and loved with all the characters, fantastic storytelling at its very best. I can't wait for more of graces cove and the seekers and protectors, so looking forward to stories for the next generations. Tricia Omalley your a genius thank you for the best most fantastical stories and for bringing alive our emerald Isle. X
