Super short read but oh so good! Definitely my favorite story of this series. It's so cute and so sweet!
The story is about Devlin and Liberty.
They come from different worlds. He took over his father's company a year ago. Her mom works for the Spade family and she's his secretary for the past few months now. She thinks she doesn't fit in his world and whatever relationship they have now won't last.
Devlin's just giving her time but her time is up and now, he'll prove to her he wants forever with her.
It has lovely epilogues.

PERFECT! Just perfect!

"Promises" is a collection of novels from one of my favorite series by AR, and this review is for "Final Promise", that is the story of Liberty and Devlin.
A OTT sweet love story between a devoted hero, an innocent heroine with mild rich guy/poor girl theme, some naive drama and an adorable HEA. This was a good throwback to my old AR books which I floved, and had great epilogues too.
So good that I forgive it for having a virgin hero (which I usually hate).

The Final Promise is a surprise bonus book in the Promise Bundle. This was a sweet and sizzling read in the Promise series, very much an Alexa Riley book with its classic tale of two people, from different social sides who fall head over heels in love. Liberty and Devlin have had intense crushes on each other for years. Liberty and her mom lived on the Spade property-- with her mom who works for the Spades as housekeeper. Liberty now works for Devlin in his office and he keeps her pretty close and near to him. Devlin knew when he was 24 and she was 14 that Liberty was someone he wanted , needed. Now that she is legal and out of college, working for him he is prepared to make his move. Something happens to cause Liberty doubts, thinking there is nothing left for her with Devlin. When Devlin gets wind that everything he had worked hard for with Liberty could be at risk, he knows its time to show the woman he has always loved exactly where she belongs which is with him, forever. This story is classic AR, with the caveman alpha male, possessive and sexy; the sexy and innocent heroine plus all the steamy, hot scenes that are trademark Alexa Riley. There are a few twists that will have the readers on their toes but everything is what I look for in my romance books. Even though the story starts years after the H/h met, that’s ok because the plot is told in such a way you aren’t missing their early years and the epilogue is freaking fantastic. As always, get your kindles started for a steamy hot good AR time.

I loved this story so much and I wish it would’ve been a lot longer. Devlin Spade is 28 years old and he took over the family business when his dad retired a year ago. He’s loved Liberty for a while but he had to wait until she turned eighteen and now that he’s gotten a taste of her he’s never letting her go. Liberty was fourteen years old when her mom started working for Hector and Kamalle Spade as the manager of their home. They lived in a small house on the Spade estate and the first time Liberty met Devlin she knew she loved him. Four months ago she started working as Devlin’s secretary and almost immediately she was in his bed. The two of them have been inseparable but she’s afraid they can’t possibly have a future together because they come from two different worlds. Devlin will move heaven and earth to keep Liberty by his side and in his bed ... forever. Devlin is a complete OTT Alpha Caveman and I adored him.

A good way to end a series!
Liberty and Devlin, just like in the first book of the series (Mr. and Mrs.), are already in a relationship when the story starts. The difference is that they are hiding it, mostly because she thinks people would disapprove, considering he is a big and powerful man.
They've known each other for a long time and their mothers are quite friends, and that lets Liberty anxious as well. Although she doesn't need to, because Devlin is head over feet for her.
They are devoted to each other and really sexy together.
It was hot and sweet to read.

The book sort of started in the middle. He's already having s*x with her, has been for months. She is working for his family, and thinks she's his side piece, so gets jealous when she realises his mother is setting him up with ladies in their social circle. Bang, he declares his feelings so there are no mistakes. Maybe should have done that months ago, so she was confused?

First, I have to say I hate amnesia stories. It doesn't matter if it would be she or he who lost the memory. It always annoys the shit out of me when people would take advantage of that situation and put crap in theirs heads.
So, I was a little apprehensive going into this. I kept thinking would I feel the same with Alexas story? Would it be the first time ever, when Alexas work wouldn't give me the happy feeling, I feel every damn time I read her books?
And after finishing reading what do you think I feel? All I had to say, that it was brilliant! After all those books I shouldn’t had doubted Alexa. She will always give me what I need.
You will love Phillip. Even though at the beginning, you will be like 'What the hell is wrong with you, man?! Stop suppressing your obsessive caveman side. It's what so wonderful about you. It's what we love about you!' And then voila! The hero we so obsess over is here! Finally! He lost all his control and become a beast who wants his mate now, here, close and forever. And fuck the rest! Awww, isn't that your dream prince?
BLACKMAILING THE VIRGIN
Another good story in this series. You will get over the top possessive caveman. And sweet ready to be worshiped girl. I really loved Calder. Even when he fucked up. Well, I think you kind of should have espected that. After all he never was caveman over any woman before. So, those overwhelming feelings made him be unable to made right decisions and all he could think of was claiming his woman no matter what. Even if this involes a little blackmail.
It's short, insta, involing over the top alpha story with garuanteed HEA.
THE BILLIONAIRE AND HIS CASTAWAY
It was sweet, over the top and funny.
Kenton was a hero type I enjoy. Sweet, possessive, caveman, devious and loving.
Madeline as heroine was not far behind. She was sweet, warm and ready to leave the golden protective cage her brothers were keeping her and find her own path in life. Namely Kenton.
THE LAST PROMISE (BONUS STORY)
I'm glad there is another book in Alexa Riley Promises series. Previous books were great and this one is not exception.
I loved Devlin. But then again I don't remember, when I didn't loved Alexas H. He's crazily obsessive over his girl. I would like to say he was sweet too, but he was too busy being possessive. He was just cute with it. Lol.
Btw, this quick story is good to have before bed for sweet dreams. ;)

The Final Promise
Liberty and Devlin have had crushes on each other for years. Now she starts working for him and he keeps her close by....as in a desk right next to his...in his office, so damn funny. I thought Devlin was pretty much a king of the dirty talk, whew, so damn hot. She’s having doubts, but he is having none of that and straightens her out.
Great addition to this bundle. Safe, steamy read with an over-the-top alpha, babies, epilogues (one is so damn funny) and an hea.

Such a great story that will pull at your heartstrings....because you feel every bit of the love that Molly & Phillip have for each other....like you were part of their relationship. I am always a huge Alexa Riley fan, but this one blew me away and had me riveted to the pages. If you enjoy a great love story then this is the book for you. I absolutely fell in love with the characters and story....pulled heartstrings *sighs*. Don't worry though because there is still the classic Alexa Riley humor that we all adore and count on....and of course the classic alpha male we adore as well. I would give it more stars if I could...this will be a book I read over and over when I am having "that kind of day". A MUST READ.

Felicity is a very sweet, innocent & shy college girl...oh, and tougher than she seems. Calder is a very successful, yet a tad self-centered, business man who sees Felicity at her dads house and decides he wants her. After they are together the first time, Calder is not very pleasant to her. I loved the way Felicity handled this and her reaction....I was very proud of her for sticking up for herself and handling the situation. She is definitely a take-no-crap heroine that I admire. Luckily, after an entirely to long amount if time, he comes to get her. He is not as open with her as he should be, but I definitely think she handles him really well. She makes him be a better person, which I love. I just really loved her character...sweet, innocent & tough. Very good.

Final Promise by Alexa Riley is part of the Promises Bundle and is the story of Liberty and Devlin. Liberty has known Devlin Spade since she was 14 years old and had a crush on him the whole time. When Liberty's mother came to work for the Spades and Devlin met Liberty he knew already that she was the one for him, but had to stay away. Now that Liberty is his assistant he wants her all the time and nothing will keep them apart, not even his match making mother.
Alexa Riley's stories are always hot and fast, but this one started in the middle of Devlin and Liberty's relationship and that gave it an interesting twist. They have been hot and heavy since the day she started working for him. By giving them a backstory, we get their connection, but don't have to wait for them to get together. I liked the intrigue that was given with some misunderstandings all around that helped tease the story and give us more opportunities to see Devlin and Liberty grow and become more.
Overall, this is one of my favorites of Alexa Riley's books (not that I don't have quite a few). It was sweet, hot, and passionate. I wholeheartedly recommend Final Promise and the Promises Bundle.

These authors know how to keep you hooked from the beginning till the end. These bundle of stories are super great and I LOVED every single one. I really liked and enjoyed this steamy, sweet read. All the four stories are different, some are more angst ,other are more steamy and hot but in all we have insta-love, no cheating, alpha hot heroes. Just what I love!!!
