Earth has been destroyed, the entire solar system turned to dust by a cataclysmic event known as the Fracture. Now, the last survivors of humanity live on vast arkships drifting through the Cluster, doing what they can to survive in a hostile ever-changing environment.
As civil war threatens to tear the House of Draig apart, a face from the past returns to unify the disparate factions, forcing Prince Halstead to make alliances with former enemies. With his grip on power weakening, Halstead grows more and more desperate to protect his people, putting him at odds with those closest to him.
The lines of battle are drawn, the great arkships of the Cluster can no longer avoid all-out war, and Prince Halstead finds he must sacrifice everything he holds dear to save his people.
Set against a backdrop of warring families and their vast arkships, personal challenges mix with political conspiracy in this action-packed fourth instalment in the highly acclaimed Arkship Saga series from award-winning British writer Niel Bushnell.

What a great story! It is full of depth, bringing out emotional turmoil for the characters and emotional responses from me, the reader. This continuation of the Arcship Saga sucks you in and won't let go. It does leave you with a cliffhanger so you will just have to come back to see what happens next. I personally can't wait to see what happens now that the church has stepped up as a major player.
The saga continues in this fourth volume, with more scheming bad guys and agonising good guys. This volume has the Church again central to the story, but here they become quite literally central to events. There is a new Scribe, who I have a feeling is going to become really bad news in the really near future. But we have to have a bad guy or two, I guess. And Gofal is still my favourite character!
Now we find who the woman Scribe was taking care of and who the new Scribe let loose on the world. Bara has the Kenric child, but other things are not quite as planned.
The saga continues with the whole of the cluster seemingly at war. As one enemy is defeated, the situation changes and more enemies emerge. Great reading and an involved plot. Looking forward to the next episode.
Prince Halsted is having great difficulty dealing with his wife living with Faron. The universe is still an insane place as long as Orcades is still alive. Good action and characters as in the last three books.
These Arkship books just get better and better. I just finished Arkship Conquest. A couple of unexpected surprises, but I won't spoil it for those who haven't finished it yet. Enjoy! Can't wait to get started on the next book. Arkship Prophecy, here I come!
