lush seduction for me is one of the most best written novels ever. The complex relationships of a worker with her boss and all the love between them is written so perfectly. This book is a piece of art and a lot of hard work. This book has connected to me on such levels that I had actually cried reading it . Layla Arts...you are a magician and I am in love with your writing.
One of my absolute favourite books. It includes everything - incredible writing, incredible characters and an incredible adventure. I can’t wait to see this book grow into something so amazing, because the writing is so deserving of the best and the author is too. I’m certain that this novel will go so far one day, and I can’t wait to be able to witness it. 💜
This book is awesome. It's suspenseful, it has romance and it has ups and downs. It also has flawed characters which makes for a more realistic book. Once I started reading I honestly found it so hard stop. It is amazing and everyone should give this book a go.
I have been following this book serious for so long! So I am so excited for this to finally happen. This is one of the best fan fictions ever glad and I am glad it is being adapted into a real book series! Everyone needs to read this book.. so binge worthy!
This book is so so so good! I’ve read it at least 3 times on wattpad and i just can’t get enough! Can’t wait to see what Lay has in store for us in the published version!
The first time I read Lush Seduction, it was a fanfiction that only had a couple hundred thousand reads on Wattpad, a site dedicated to the storytelling of upcoming authors. Immediately, I fell in love with the original characters. This story was addicting. Admittedly, I have read all of Layla Arts’ online work, and am still deeply invested in the Lush books as found online. So when I discovered that Lush Seduction was to be published in hard copy, I was overjoyed! I purchased it the day it came out, and when it came in the mail, I took about a million aesthetic photos of the book I was so happy to hold in my hands. Admittedly, it took me a few weeks to begin reading, but once I did, I vividly remembered every reason I loved this story. I had a plan to read it over the course of a few days and write this review afterwards. Well, I started reading it this morning and here I am after being unable to put it down. Lush Seduction is a classic love story of the new girl in town and the charming millionaire. Vicky West moves to Los Angeles following her dream of dancing for the Empire, a club similar to the likes of Moulin Rouge and Burlesque. The owner of the Empire, Hadrian Smith, however, fits every trope of the rich asshole who eventually finds it in his heart to be kind to one girl and one girl only. Admittedly, both Hadrian and Vicky are infuriating characters. Hadrian because of his initial lack of respect for the female sex, and Vicky because of her stubbornness to go after her dream-- even in a toxic situation. Still, as the pages turned, I found myself desperate for more and more of Hadrian and Vicky and the Empire. Admittedly, I jumped around and squealed at the romance, as well as yelled in frustration when someone did something stupid. It is so obvious that the author spent an insane amount of time developing her characters because they literally come off the page into reality. They seem as real and three-dimensional as ever, which is just so amazing to read. Now, I don’t want to give any spoilers, especially for the shocking ending, but I will say that readers are in for a wild ride with this story. Rest assured, though, Hadrian certainly learns some respect and Vicky stands up for herself like a proper strong female character should. I’ll also say this: be careful who you trust. The book itself could use another round of editing due to an abundance of grammatical errors, stiff dialogue, and a variance in writing style, which isn’t the author’s fault-- rather the publisher’s. Overall, the story of Vicky and Hadrian is unlike any other. I have watched this story grow into what it has become, and I’m unbelievably proud of it and the author behind it’s extraordinaire. Layla Arts, you have truly worked magic. The last thing I have to say about Lush Seduction would just be: when’s the sequel coming out?
This was an interesting enough story, the characters were developed but the language was a bit strange and difficult to follow at times. There were some editing problems as well. Big cliffhanger at the and did not see that coming and don't think I will be buying the next book. Hadrian was a bit of a bully at the beginning and I really didn't like him at all. I thought she was going to end up with the lame cafe boy. But then he turns out to be the jerk. I got this for free but don't think I would have read it if I knew it ended in a cliffhanger. So read at your own risk.
**this book was given to me by the Author and the Publishing company. Though I am friends with the author, this review is in my honest opinion**
So, let’s start with a little story. I first read Lush Seduction in its original form years ago when it still went by the title Moulin Rouge. I adored it so much, I reached out to the author and a few years later, I met her when I visited Amsterdam. She has a true talent for storytelling, and I have some thoughts on this book.
My review for this book is divvied up in two sections. The good and the bad. Now, my review might seem a little low, but I have to preface this with the fact I don’t read contemporaries or New Adult anymore. In recent years, I’ve really fallen in love with Science Fiction and Fantasy (I also prefer to write in those genres), so this also affected my rating.
My rating: 3.5/4 out of 5
The good: What Layla excelled with is her talent to write good characters. Her characters are all compelling and charming, and come across as very natural. You can tell she spent a lot of time with these characters and knows them like the back of her hand. Her storytelling abilities were also well done, and I think she has a huge career ahead of her. She can really tell a story, and I have no doubt about that, but I think it might have been bogged down by the below.
The bad: This is not so much her fault, it’s her publisher’s. I wish they would have spent far more time in the editing phase. The text was riddled with grammatical errors. Though Layla’s English is good, it’s not her first language. With some extra editing, her dialogue might have come across as more natural, but it did read a little stiff, and they didn’t help flesh out the beginning too much because it does start out really slow.
I couldn't even finish reading lush seduction because the writing is so bad! I wanted to line the book but there are too many typos and grammatical errors. There is little to no depth written into the characters. I hoped that it would get better as I read on.
