I absolutely loved this book, it's a complete page turner and the two authors (Karen Raines & Brittany Crowley) that co-wrote this together blend their work effortlessly doing an amazing job.

This book has lovable characters that all have a great sense of humour even when their asses are put on the firing line against the bad guys. There's passion, lust, violence, hatred, betrayal, jealousy, revenge, love, LOL moments and let's not forget the hot sex.

Bri & Colby are the perfect match.
Brianna is sassy, sexy and a PI that can definitely take care of herself. Colby is one of her best friend's who became a friend with benefit one night. Can being thrown together to take-down the bad guys get her a repeat performance of that hot sex? or will she end up with a broken heart?

Colby is hot as sin, hung like a horse and also a BAMF that can hold his own. Bri is the one-nighter he can never forget and to his surprise he doesn't want to. But he messed up that night, will she ever forgive him and let him have his wicked way with her again? Will hearts be involved and broken?

Will they have an HEA fighting the A-Holes of the world together?

Both Karen Raines and Brittany Crowley are new to me authors, yet Stakeout has ensured I will be giving both authors a read in the future.

Stakeout is the first book in the Stalker series, and it’s a wonderful start to what promises to be a seriously fun series. Within pages I was sucked into this one, the knowledge I wanted more of this series cemented in my mind before I had finished the first book.

Honestly, this was such an addictive read. There are so many elements of this one that pulls you in. The banter between the characters is wonderful, the chemistry between the characters is off the charts, the side characters are amazing, there is humour, there is a fun underlying story throughout, and everything has you turning the pages to get more of the things you’re quickly falling in love with.

Honestly, I’m in desperate need of book two – I need another Stalker novel.

2018 2nd-chance-romance action

I completely, totally loved this book, it's an absolute page turner and the two authors --Karen Raines & Brittany Crowley that co-wrote this together blend their work easily while doing an impressive job. You have Briella who grew up with sexy as sin Colby. She was madly in love with him, but for the sake of their friendship, she kept everything on the up and up, more on the friendship side, that is until they went over the line one drunken night and the powerful emotions that happened with them together causing Colby to just have this freak out and call Bri her nasty cousin's name. Just guess how well that went down…it so didn’t. Bri didn’t talk to Colby for 3 months for she can’t forget what he said/did. It also affects their professional relationship since they are both private investigators. Each with their own companies. Bri is hurting and still very angry; She is keeping her distance from Colby but when she gets a job that could put her in terrible danger, her friend and partner in the business sets things up for Coby to go and keep an eye on her. Let’s just say the intense sexual chemistry is still pretty rampant between these two – you can tell even from the beginning of the story. Oh they have some awesome witty banter that will just draw you in and hook you. You cant help but root for their relationship. Bri is forced to spend a month with Colby on this case that they are working and thinks nothing will change but oh yes, lots change during that time. The very assignment that they were sent on is even more dangerous than any of them suspected. There are many twists and turns that keep the reader hooked which is fantastic as this is more than just a friends to lovers story. It is full of suspense, intrigue, angst, pain, anger, sexual tension, drama and most of all, love. I loved all the characters in this book and cant wait to read the next book in this new series.

This book was hilarious! Karen Raines and Brittany Crowley had me laughing out loud so much and I enjoyed every single minute of it.

Bri and Colby are amazing. Bri is a strong, sassy woman and the woman Colby shared one night with and can’t get out of his mind. Colby is stupid-hot, a total badass and the guy Bri’s one-time friend with benefits who she can’t forget about. They’re also both private investigators. When they both take a month-long job on a beach they don’t realize they’ll be working with each other. Can they work together without killing each other...or jumping each other?

This book was so good! The writing combination of Raines and Crowley was everything and then some. The collaboration is effortless, seamless, and has me salivating for more! Filled with amazingly lovable characters, so much humor my cheeks hurt from smiling, and not one single dull moment, Stakeout was a blast to read. Packed with everything from action, sexy times, and awesome banter, it’s a book that takes off at a sprint and never lets up. Fun, sexy, laugh-out-loud funny, and action-packed this book has something everyone can enjoy. 5 Stars.

This book was everything and so much more.

You have Briella who grew up with sexy as can be Colby. She was totally, madly in love with him, but for the sake of friendship, kept everything on the colorful side of the line, that is until they cross the line one drunken night and the emotions that came with them together causing Colby to freak out and call Bri her B****y cousin's name. So here it is they haven't talked n 3 months. Then Colby shows up because he misses his best friend.

Did I forget to mention they are Private Investigators? Each with their own companies.

What happens when the mayor believes his wife is cheating, and Bri & Colby's past comes back to haunt them in real life. This book had me on the edge. If you have read anything by these two authors, you then know that this book is hilarious but it also makes you feel. Makes you go through an emotional rollercoaster.

The sexiness in this book though will definitely have you one-handedly reading this!!!! There is never a dull moment in this book. Where you might read a book and skim the boring parts... There were no boring parts. It was action on top of action on top of getting lucky action throughout the entire book!!!!! Must Read!!!!

She acts all tough but obviously can't resist him

THATS IT
btw her sex life was full of cheating assholes while his was amazing and she had to witness this!!
Authors let your heroines have a life before they meet the hero, not everything about their personal life should be pathetic.

This review is my first for Karen Raines and I have to say I really enjoyed this story. The characters, ALL of them are wonderful. I laughed, rolled my eyes, and worried about them. The story is strong and the romance is hot.

Colby can be a dick at times, but that is what makes him so awesome. Colby and Bri have been friends for years. So when they have one night of passion and Colby yells out her cousin's name, Bri doesn't take it too well. As she shouldn't. But there is a reason for everything, even this.

Bri and her friends are PI's, which is awesome, and they have a deep stake in a new client. But Bri might have taken a bite out of something she can't handle. So Colby comes to her rescue, or so he thinks.

Again this group of characters is great, and the story is awesome. Really enjoyed. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.

A great story that encompasses friends to lovers, second chances and a good amount of mystery and suspense. Bri and Colby have been friends since they were children. One night, one mistake threatens to ruin the friendship forever. Both have their own PI companies and will be forced to work together on what seems to be a relatively simple, yet also dangerous job. These two are the perfect foils for each other, I absolutely love their banter and their teasing and when they finally realize what is really happening between them, it is a wonder to watch. I enjoyed all the other friends and their takes on life and relationships. I laughed out loud often. But what took the cake on this story was the absolutely convoluted mystery, danger and suspense that changed every time they took a step and made a move or made a discovery. I had so many wtf moments while reading it because I never saw it coming but they made the story seem so very lifelike and even with all the twists, it was a wonderfully, seamless, suspensful love story.

This is my first book I’ve read from these authors so I had no idea at all what I was in for.

Former best friends Briella and Coby used to have a close relationship until one night ruined everything between them. Briella is hurting and keeping her distance but when she gets a job that could put her in danger, her friend and partner sets it up for Coby to go and keep an eye on her.

The sexual chemistry between Coby and Bri is apparent from the start. Thinking they’re on the same page when it comes to what’s happening between them, Coby can’t keep his distance but Bri hasn’t been completely honest with him about what she wants. Forced to spend a month together, she’s determined not to let what’s going on between them interfere with her assignment. The very assignment that is even bigger and more dangerous than she thought.

This is a great book. Packed with action and suspense along with brilliant main and supporting characters this book was a really enjoyable read.

I'm a huge Karen Raines fan and was intruiged to find out how this story panned out as it was co written with Brittany Crowley.
It did disappoint one bit. I was turning the pages so fast I thought my kindle would set alight. It's a very clever storyline with a male and female team of PI's joining forces on a a stakeout. But Cole and Brianne had a past...a friends to lover past that didn't end well. Now they have to spend 30 days together!!..
This is when the fun and games started with hot sex, eye rolling moments and laugh out loud moments. Then came the the danger, intrigue, twists and heart stopping moments and I found myself reading faster once again.
It's an amazing story and would be great on the big screen!!

This book amazed me. This was my first read from each of these authors and it won’t be the last. It was an amazing read.

Stakeout has everything you could ever want in a book, it has action, drama, Hot, steamy and plenty of Girl Power.

Stakeout has a great bunch of characters, Not only are the main characters brilliant the side characters are also amazing.

A Funny, action packed and irresistibly sexy read, that will have you hot under the collar one minute and sitting on the edge of your seat the next.

Sensational!
This book drew me in from the very start and kept me turning the pages with its kickass combination of romance, humour, suspense, mystery, and mayhem. The leads, Briella and Colby, both seasoned snoops a.k.a. P.I.s, were quite the pair and I really enjoyed reading about their personal and professional exploits, plus figuring out who was or was not on the couple’s side. I liked their charmingly crazy group of friends too (especially Marcus who was a hoot and who made me laugh out loud several times, and the stun gun-zapping Skylar), and how Bri’s all-female posse and Colby’s all-male gang were business rivals but could work well together even in a remote and unfamiliar location. Terrific job by Karen Raines and Brittany Crowley! I highly recommend Stakeout and hope that these two authors continue to collaborate.

I absolutely LOVED Stakeout! This was my first book from these authors and won't be my last. This book was a fast read for me and had me drawn in from page one. The characters were fantastic and the plot was awesome! Bri and Colby are a great match in this friends to lovers book. The banter between them was hysterical, the sexual tension between them was off the charts.

I loved how even though there were plenty of steamy scenes in this book the mission of the book didn't deter at all, they got the job done that needed to be done. The action in this book was full speed ahead, there was mystery, there was danger, there was romance, there was comedy, this book literally had it all. Absolute 5 star read and I will definitely be reading this again!

The plot had me hooked from the start and it’s packed full of love, betrayal, a little bit of action and a lot of steamy scenes , enough to steam up your glasses. There was a.so a few twists and turns that you don’t expect but they work so well. I loved the character and their pairings worked really we,,. I hope the others get their own books. I couldn’t put the book down and I didn’t want it to end. I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely loved my b*tches sharing this story. They really brought the heat and suspense. I love you Karen & Brittany!

If you need a great story about love and suspense, then you chose the right book. This lovely novel is about loving a best friend and not knowing if the other shared the same feelings. Briella and Colby had no choice when fate was involved. Friends with benefits was a choice but life alters everything.
The supporting characters were amazing and deserve their kudos. This book was about love and the necessary actions that needed to be seen. Bri was a badass chick who wanted independence, but she got more with Colby.

I knew I would love a book by Karen raines and Brittany Crowley. these two are phenomenal authors on their own but they outdid themselves when they wrote this together. I absolutely loved these characters and their friends added a great humor. you could feel the chemistry and the love of this group of people as it jumped off the pages. The plot was full of twists and the story of bri and colby was so lovable that you will want to one click. This is my honest review for a book I volunteered to read

A great collaboration between two great authors! I absolutely loved this book. Best friends to lovers stories are one of my favorite reads! This book is hilarious, sexy and has a little mystery (who done it) moments . I have read everything both of these Authors have written separately and I love both of their writing styles. But together they are amazing. These ladies can write some hot sex with a twist of humor. I highly recommend this book, and anything else written by these Authors

OMG How great was this book?!? I have enjoyed both these authors work previously, but together they are a powerhouse combo! This book was everything, hysterically funny, well balanced, great pace throughout, intriguing, suspenseful and can't forget sexy! I loved the chemistry between Bri and Colby, they really owned their sexuality, which was a refreshing change. It was kind of insta-love with a twist, and I liked how we hit the ground running, the whole book kind of had that feel, and I loved it because it kept me turning the pages. I also really enjoyed the background players, and I hope we get more stories to come from this collaboration, maybe Sky next? I have no idea what else these ladies have planned, but I am totally here for it!

I really liked this book! It was funny, suspenseful, intriguing and of course had hot sexy scenes! I loved Briella and Colby. They were great together! I loved all the banter and secondary characters, I am hoping they all will be getting books! Great read!
