I enjoy creating stories. It drives me. My novels are intended to entertain, to bring the reader to a world they would not normally encounter. Don't expect a moral or some life lesson by which to live. My books are for simple enjoyment. To paraphrase one of my readers, my books will "change your mood."

Thank you for reading and welcome to my elaborate plots.

"Under Mafia Protection" tells the story of the sheltered, Ella being kicked out of her father's home and is forced to live on her own for the first time and Angelo, the new leader of a mob having to marry the woman of his father's choice in order to combine families. When the two meet, they try to hide their feelings, while Angelo hides his identity for his new loves safety. When all his efforts to keep Ella safe fail, when she see Angelo murder a man right in front of her, he realizes its too late and now Ella must becme involved with him to keep not only his life safe but her life as well. The book was amazing and I couldn't put it down.

Solid 4,5 read. I loved this story, it pulled me in and wouldn't let me go. Alright, so it's a bit cliche and predictable at times but still, I just really loved the couple Ella and Angelo. The H reminded me of Naz from Monster in Her Eyes: alpha OTT type but understated passion. Which is the opposite form whta I usually go for: OTT possessive passionate alpha types. Still, it worked! I loved the twists and changes in this story, the drama and the chemistry between the couple.

The reason my 4,5 didn't tilt to a 5 is because imo the sex scenes could have been better and apparently that's really important to me - what can I say, I guess I am shallow like that.

How can anyone call this romance? I felt like it should be called ”the tragic life of a mob boss girlfriend ” or ”being in the shadows of a mafia man”

Here are some quotes that….u know what just read them for yourself

First one: ”Don’t ever call me by that name again. If you do, I’ll beat you until you forget who I am.”
“You’d beat me?”
“You remember who I am, right?”

Sorry 😅what the hell did I just read…

Second one: ”I’m a needy man. Be quiet and let me have my way with you.”

Dafuq……be quiet??? U should be quiet, disgusting ass man. Are u fucking a doll???

Third one: ”Okay, that’s all I need to know. I’m going to kill her,” he growled.

You’re saying this to your supposedly lover ???? I’m sorry what now

Fourth one: “You will learn your place and won’t go against my orders. What I say goes. I will know where you are at all times. This is what you agreed to when you didn’t leave my room that night at the club. I don’t care if you like it or not”

This made me drop the goddamn book, I’m sorry what are we???? In 1850 ??? Mind u this book plays out in this generation so how you gonna let a man’s speak to you like that.

I’ll be honest The book wasn’t bad but this should NOT be in the category romance cause no way in hell is this 👆🏼romance. I could definitely see it being like a thriller or like a organized crime book where they follow the sad life of being a woman in that world.

Perfection

I guess my previous review was deleted. This is my fifth or sixth time reading this book since I discovered it on Wattpad. The only fault I have with this book, and it's a minor one, is that I find the dialogue a bit too formal. I love Ella, she makes mistakes and is naive by circumstance, but she's badašs. Angelo is everything. I don't like rings, but I'd wear his. Ali, just in case you're reading this, I noticed a slight error. I know it was insinuated in the Wattpad version that Jacob was in love with Ella and in this that he's her father, otherwise it would make sense, but it said in the scene were Angelo first meets Jacob that he is in his early thirties. Might be something to look at if you're ever editing again. Love your work and cannot wait to have my very own copy of Rafa and Miguel's stories to carry around with me. 100% recommend. I can't get enough 💚

This is a good story.
When I first read the blurb I wasn't too keen. I don't like cheating and I was worried he was going to be with Ella while also seeing the woman his father wants him to marry.
This doesn't happen, he even refuses to meet his father's choice and then he meets Ella.
He is a hard man, it works, he's been groomed for the role and he needs to be hardened to do it but of course this means he's hard on Ella too at times. Sometimes I cringed as he hurt her with his choices, he only ever has eyes for Ella.
Ella doesn't want to swop one life of being under control for another so she balks against Angelo's rules for her safety. Sometimes it was fair enough, other times I had the 'too stupid to live' feeling about her.
It's a good story. Rafe is an excellent side character, love to see if he's as wise with his own heart.

DNF

The author's writing style is a little hard to follow. The story jumps around from the present to the past with no clues as to the change. The story does not have emotion and after 50% of the book had been read, I couldn't keep reading it. I was bored and the characters lacked that spark that keeps the reader engaged. The story was also written in 3rd person so you never got attached to a character.

Mixed feelings galore - it was a surprisingly fast read, with a good pace and an okay plot. Once I started it, it was exceptionally easy to just keep reading. That being said, the writing style took some adjusting to, but it didn't weigh the story down.

I didn't vibe much with the characters on their own. Angelo was a little too cliche for my taste (even for a mafia romance). And I felt like Ella was perpetually stuck between being two different characters - the innocent woman who gets involved with the boss and the daughter of a mafioso, who has all the qualities of a seasoned gangster. Yet, somehow, the two characters worked well together, and I quite enjoyed their dynamic.

The spice came off a little weird - stuck somewhere between the typical YA metaphors of sliding and sheathing in an abstract description of sex, interspersed with fade-to-black scenes. But it overall fit with the vibe of the book - neither the sex nor the violence (with plenty of the latter) was described in any significant, gory detail.

As I said - mixed feelings. I don't think it's my type of book, but I enjoyed it and would pick up the other books in some time.

Well, how should I start?!

I confess that I created a lot of expectations for this book and I got frustrated. Try to understand, it wasn't all bad, but I expected more.

it was my first reading about the mafia and I expected a better story, a more developed script. It was overwhelming and tiring.

The main character was a bore haha forgive me for that, but I really enjoyed her growth throughout the story, it was very good, thank God or I would have hit her in the head with a bullet.

Ella's life has always been surrounded by secrets and after she met Angelo, things got even more complicated and distorted. But I loved the twist that happened.

The best thing that happened in their lives was this supposedly unusual meeting.
Secrets, secrets and more secrets. I can't tell you more 'cause if I did I'm going to spoil it, but this mystery is worth solving. And I loved loved the role that Ella positioned herself and embraced. Simply amazing! She showed how understanding she is and how much she supports him, no matter what.

as she said, "You took my heart. Now took my hands."

I first read this book when it was published on Wattpad. When I discovered that it was published by the author I immediately bought all 3 books and binge read them. I didn't realize that I already read all of them before until I finished and second and was half way through the third. It's been years after all. I wouldn't normally give a book like this 5 stars, maybe a 3.7 , but this one, just because something about it hit home. I'm giving it 5.

Mafia Protection has always stayed with me. It gave me a strange feeling of courage even though the book didn't have any significant impact on my life. I never forgot about the book and was overjoyed that I had the chance to read it again.

I do recommend reading it. The women are brave, and the men are hopeless Alpha males, all of them bound by rules and loyalty and battles through all of it with love- love for family, and love for their significant others.

SPOILER***

The story was going great until **SPOILER** Angelo has sex with another woman when he is so devoted and love his wife. Women threw themselves on Angelo and he did not cheat not once then he gets an emergency call and he is having sex with someone else after he just left his wife in bed after a night of passionate sex...auh does not make sense...sorry the writer really messed the book up for me after that point. I finished reading it and the writer could not redeem herself in my opinion. This is a new author that I have never read so in am very disappointed. I enjoy reading and sometimes stories do take a turn where you think it should not go but this was just no bueno..if the author written Angelo as that type of man or he was into an open relationship but that was not the case...

I’m not sure why I stuck this one out, because I was ready to DNF it several times. Maybe it’s because while I didn’t like either the heroine or the hero, I didn’t flat out hate either of them either - although I will say the heroine was definitely of the TSTL variety. Every bad idiotic move she could make in the book, she of course did. But I think my biggest issue with this book was the writing was just bad - it didn’t flow at all, the story felt jumpy and convoluted, and there was no understanding of any of the characters’ motivations. Now that I’ve written this, I really don’t understand why I finished the book. But because I did, I’ll give it an extra half star - so a 1.5 rating for me.

This book was good it had some points that I was like WTF but overall it was a good story. I think that the next book will also be good I have to read at some point. Ella was a bit much for me she was to nave regarding her life and her father it was hard to buy into. I like that Angelo falls hard for her and I like that he stays in the game at the end also I hate when they try to change the guy at the end and he stops being bad that usually kills a book for me happy to say that is not how this one works!

Loved it!

I read this book on wattpad about a year ago. Although I believe there were some changes made, I believe those changes really made the boom better. Reading it again made feel as if I was reading it again for the first time. I completely sucked me in....again. I can't wait for the others in the tomassi series to be posted. I'm excited to read those again as well, well the third one at least. I never got to finish it. So excited!!!!!

4.5 Stars

Really good read!! Angelo was your typical alpha male. But I loved how he showed his vulnerability with Ella. I enjoyed the plot twists but some were obvious hence the rating. Overall, Mafia Protection was a good book and the author’s writing style was different than I’m use to (writing in third person). However, it did hold my interest and I never was bored and I give it two thumbs up!!

I couldn't finish this book without skipping many pages . Our writer has a talent .she created a Mafia world . She covereed all the imprtant detials in a way seemed unfortunatly boring. In the middle you start losing interest especially it took long time to accelerate the events. This book needs editing and using a strong dialogues . Angelo needed more to express himself and his his feelings. Ali Lee is talented writer but she still need more to shine

Awesome

I enjoyed this book. Plenty of suspense, and action. Angelo was definitely an alpha, and could be quite violent. Never with Ella though. Ella ended up being a tough cookie, although in the beginning she just seemed a sweet, innocent, passive girl. Ha! Not even close. Look forward to reading more from this author!

Liked it but didn’t love it!

I really liked this book. Though the plot seemed a bit extended to me. I didn’t love it. I thought it could be shortened. To be honest I read a review without a spoiler alert and the review definitely spoiled so that could have been a factor. I will be reading books two without checking reviews.

I remember reading this long time ago and I'm currently re-reading it now. The characters are flawed but it's part of the story, their imperfections. The hero is an antihero and the heroine is not a helpless lass. I wish to read more future novels from this author. I like the perfect balance of cruelty and softness of the alpha male characters she makes. It makes it realistic.

dnfed it. sorry but this doesn't feel like a mafia story. I read half of it and this seems like a lowkey romance novel with bits of mafia thing that lacked 'badass' and angst to it. sorry but not for me
