I’m conscious I’ve behaved badly, but I was looking for him.“If you hadn’t left me alone for almost an hour, I wouldn’t be looking for you.”“I see.” He barely hides his smile, and my stupid heart flutters.I stand tall, refusing to be intimidated. “You see what, exactly?”“You’re one of those girls who never take responsibility for their actions and always have an excuse for everything.”“Pardon me?” My eyes widen at his comment. “No, I’m not one of those girls. I’m a woman, and I always take responsibility for my actions.” I’m about to add that this description fits Solange like a glove, but I abstain. I’d better avoid arguing with a man I don’t know, and I realize it may not have been smart to enter a stranger’s house.“So, now it’s the word ‘girl’ that’s an issue for you? Would you care to explain that to me?”I’m fuming at his mocking tone, and it takes everything in me to refrain from responding to his provocation. What’s worse is I have the feeling he’s doing it for fun. I won’t give him the satisfaction.“I’d like to talk to Solange. Do you know when she’ll be back?”He leans into the door’s frame and crosses his arms. “Isn’t that a question you should have asked when you rang at my door?”I approach the painting of Kensington on the wall to see it up close. It’s an old watercolor, and it’s quite interesting. My dad used to have old pictures of Kensington and I recognize the city as it was seventy years ago. I turn back to Solange’s man. “I assumed she’d be here any minute.”“Then you assumed wrong.”“Excuse me. Do you take a malicious delight in not giving me a direct answer?”“It seems to be the case, doesn’t it?”MY DAY IS A SERIES - HOWEVER EACH BOOK CAN BE READ AS A STANDALONE NOVEL
I was really excited about the next book in this series as we'd only just gotten a glimpse into Zoe's life back in Blue Harmony and I always love it when an author goes ahead and writes books for each of the characters. I did enjoy reading this book and getting to know Zoe a lot better and getting to understand how her brain works, but for me I wasn't as pulled into the story like I was when it came to Blue Harmony, but that doesn't mean to say that this story wasn't well written because it honestly was seriously good. Other than the fact I wasn't pulled into the story as much I didn't see there to be any issues. I think that Mary Kelly Reed has done an amazing job with the characters and I suggest that you give this book a read for yourself.
Zoe is a lawyer and all that she has ever wanted to do was leave her hometown and make a name for herself when she left and she managed to achieve that. However, the one place that she tried so hard to escape from doesn't seem to be going down too well for her as she ends up going back there on a whim to confront a girl from her high school, yet when she gets there she is in for one hell of a surprise and things seem be to taking her on an adventure that she never imagined would happen.
I really liked this light hearted, well written, humorous, sweet romance. The characters were well developed, sassy, spunky, full of spirit, and funny. The storyline had great banter with mystery, twists and turns that made it an easy fun read. She worked hard to leave her hometown and had no desire to go back. Follow her in this well executed romance of mystery and misunderstanding and maybe even her own prince charming. I voluntarily reviewed this standalone ARC.
I didn’t know what to expect when I picked this up. I can say that this was nothing like I thought it would be. This book was a little fast, a little odd, very cheesy, but SO adorably addictive!!!! Some parts were hilarious, while others were a little slow and boring. I’m still not sure what to think, but I did enjoy this reading experience.
I have enjoyed all the books I have read from this author and this is another one well written. A light hearted and humorous romance in the My Day series. The characters are spunky, sassy and well developed. I enjoyed the banter and the twist and turns in the story line. This is an easy and fun read that will leave you with a smile.
A fabulous read. I really enjoyed this book, and loved the themes in this story especially as I really connected to the female protagonist and some of her passions. Very well written, gives great insight into another of the three women we met in the first book, but can also be read as a stand-alone.
Endless Note is a fun, humorous romance with well developed characters and a plot that kept me reading way too late at night! Come along with Zoe as she returns to her childhood home to confront Solange, a former classmate. I recommend this book.
A quick read that kept me entertained. I found Zoe a little annoying but I loved the way that Ian pushed her buttons. A clean romance that I didn't find overly funny. A first Mary Kelly Reed book for me & I'll glad read more.
Zoe is a lawyer and tries to come across as confident. Then there was Solange , and wanted to confront him, an incident from the past. This one was more light hearted, and one loved .Zoe.
