Going to prison and taking the fall was my gift to Mia. How was I to know her father would disappear with her and I would lose her forever? After serving my five years I’m finally out, but bars or no bars, I’m still in hell. Book Two in the CAN'T WAIT standalone series. I never believed in miracles until today. Because I’ve found her. All plush softness, sorrowful eyes and lips that call to be kissed. She’s right here in the same place I’d met her all those years ago when she was too young. Before I could touch her. There is no force on heaven or earth that will take her from me again. No force that will keep my hands off her now. I will take her. I will do as I please with her because she is mine. Now and forever. God help us both. Author’s Take five years waiting for her to be legal. Then another five locked up in prison and you’ve got one powder keg of alpha naughtiness waiting to explode. This love at the speed of light novella will warm your heart and your nether regions. All you expect…safe, smutty, swoony and happily ever after.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve made up stories. I would lay in my bed at night and before I knew what a trope was, I would make up these trope filled stories. Boy sees girl, boys falls for girl, boy saves girl….happily ever after. As I got older, the stories turned steamier and more intricate, but the basics never changed.
Now, my books are still full of romance but the naughty bits are naughtier, my hero’s are obsessed alpha types and my heroines are quirky, real women who come in all shapes and sizes.
So, sit back, banish the real world and get lost in some over the top romance with a heaping helping of hot. xoxoxo
Cleaning up my partial reads in my Kindle and this is one. A guy gets out of jail and goes back to the girl he left behind. He fell in love with her cat 14 but he waited until she was 18 but went to jail before he could claim her. This was just a little too graphic again for me. I liked that he loved her and was true to her from the moment he met her (creepy though at 14). This isn't mafia but criminal elements. Just not my jam at all. It's very coarse and I don't think the intimate scenes were romantic at all. I did finish it but not my cup of tea.
H went to prison to protect h and her family for 5 yrs the day before h’s 18th bday. H was celibate from the first time he saw the h (she was 14 at that time), he decided she was it for him and he will wait for her. So H was celibate for 10 yrs or so before he met up with h again on the day he was released from prison.
I enjoyed the smexy times and how much the H is crazy about the h.
My favorite type of story, where they are together through the whole thing. Yes there was a 5 year separation, but once they see each other there is no more separations. Love that they were both faithful. Great read.
Walker and Mia met when she was fourteen, and though he knew right away she was special, he of course, waited. She was too young, obviously, and so he became her friend, but on the day before her eighteenth birthday, he had a promise for her, if she wanted it to.
“Tomorrow, I promise, I will be here. And you and I will start our life together. Nothing will take you from me, I promise you that. There will be no more waiting.”
Unfortunately, he broke that promise. I'd like to say it was through no fault of his own, but I can't. Yes, he wanted more than anything to keep it and start their lives together, finally, but it wasn't to be.
Walker went to jail for some illegal business dealings and Mia's dad, instead of paying for his crimes the same way, fled to Mexico with her Mia and her Nana. For five long years, Walker waited yet again, only this time he didn't know where Mia was or if he'd ever find her again. But nothing would stop him from trying.
Thankfully, on the day he's released, he finds true freedom upon learning Mia has returned. He knows where she is once more and this time nothing would dare stand in his way of fulfilling that long ago promise.
As Walker and Mia reconnect, the years apart melt away and the chemistry between them is just as strong, as are their feelings. But Mia needs to support herself and her Nana, her dad having left them nothing when he passed away, and Walker is determined to get back on top and take care of them himself.
As Walker makes preparations to reclaim his life, Mia, having learned even when the person giving them doesn't want to, promises can be broken, takes her own steps toward a future free of worry. However, when their paths cross in this, and it leads to danger for Mia, Walker must show anyone that dares touch what's his the consequences of their actions.
Can Walker and Mia find their new reality? Will Mia trust in Walker and his promises? Will Mia work toward achieving her dream and realize Walker supports her completely? Can he keep Mia safe? Will they finally get their HEA?
One-click now and follow along as two people are able to act on the promises made so long ago. #HeWaitedToo
**I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Walker felt something for Mia when she was way too you and has waited years to grow up. The day before her 18th birthday he tells her he will come for her the next day and they will be together, but instead he goes to prison for 5 years and Mia's father takes her and vanishes. On the day Walker is released from prison Mia comes home and they pickup where they left off. Neither has been with anyone else. Mia is still a virgin and Walker hasn't been with a woman since he saw Mia.
The story was sweet and I love the way Walker has always been true to Mia. I liked how Mia grew from being a scared girl who her father kept her isolated to a grown woman who was strong and able to not be afraid to learn how to try to stand on her own. I also loved Nana's character. I'm glad Mia had someone like that with her growing up because her dad was a jerk.
It is rare for a H to fall for a underage h and be all about her and wait for her to come of age. I loved that she was it for him from their first meeting.
Walker had waited for Mia until she was old enough to make her his, it was all destroyed though when he went to prison. Five years later Walker is back and ready to find Mia, fortunately for him though he finds that she has returned home and he is ready to pick up where they left off. However, Mia has her own story to tell and when a threat Walker new nothing about returns he is going to do everything he can to protect her.
This was a bit disjointed for me, I liked the idea but it was so rushed it didn't flow right for me. I liked the characters but wanted a bit more.
Mmhh... I don't know where to begin... Maybe by saying that this book seems like a fanfic written by a very promiscuous 16 year old? First of all, I've never read the word "cum" in a single story so much in my life. Then we have the virgin female lead that apparently has a steel vagina and can have sex like 40 times in a row even though she JUST LOST HER VIRGINITY! Physically impossible, my dears! Then we have the male lead... That as a grown man falls for a 14 year old girl. Right, he "waits" for her, but that sounded too much like a pedofile to me. #Sorrynotsorry And they are instantly in love, both of them. Years go by without any contact, they meet again and 5 minutes later they're already doing it? Wow! Talking about insta-love that it's simply ridiculous. If that isn't enough, he is a possessive ass from the get go. And then, the very next day after their reunion, the secrets begin... Seriously??? How old is this author?? And who is her editor? Because that was also another one of the things that annoyed me. Even the punctuation was misplaced at times. The story goes on and so do they... They go at it like rabbits! Again, seriously? I just don't buy their relationship; it makes no sense! They make no sense! THE PLOT MAKES NO SENSE! Even the bad guys are laughable, and when your book comes to that, it's already doomed. No more Dani Wyatt for me in the near future, that's for sure.
Walker and Mia. Walker was sentenced because of money-related crimes. And he went to prison for saving his girl, Mia. I am so in love with this story, Because Mia was so sweet and she never forgot his Walker one single day.
Mia waited Walker for many years and run away from his father eventually, she then went back to her home, the place she met Walker.
She hope she could see him years later, and she did. The first thing Walker did after his prison sentence was straightly went to her house and claim his girl he had dreamed every second these years in prison.
“I know what you did. It’s all here.” She motions toward the papers. “The delivery from the attorney this morning right before we left Mexico had a letter from father to me. He explained everything. Everything you did. How you went to prison. And of course, the money he’d managed to hide. Not sure how I’ll ever repay you. Or why you would do that.” “None of that matters now. How about we start with what I promised you for your birthday. The birthday we never got to celebrate.”
Her cheeks ripen as I lose the battle to reach out and stroke her hair, fingers combing down through the silk to settle at the base of her neck. The soft warmth of her skin explodes in me, the years of repressed desire all flooding my brain and shattering my control.
“Do you remember?” I whisper, just before I bring my lips to hers. Her breath stills as my hand grips the back of her neck. The years of obsession pound in my head. My heart. And, yes, my dick. Holding her again I know she is the most precious prize I’ll ever have.
“I remember it all,” she whispers.
I love this one because there was no unnecessary plot twists, and no push/pull away from either of them. Even though her father was being like a psychopath never let her escape from him. Mia had a strong spirit and hearts.
“That was worth the wait.” Mia sighs and grins as I keep my eyes pinned to the swollen wetness between her thighs.
“It was. And I would wait a thousand lifetimes for you, Mia.” Looking down at her face, seeing the pleasure I’ve given her, my heart nearly bursts from my chest. “I love you, Mia. But you are mine now. Completely and utterly mine.”
“We should have used something.” She looks worried but I quickly shut that down.
“Never. I’ve waited this long. There will never be anything between us again. I am inside of you now. And soon enough, that will mean having our baby in your belly. I’m never letting you go, Mia. Never.”
“It’s like no time has passed. Like we’ve been together all these years. It’s so strange.” “It’s us, baby. Time has waited for us. For this.
Chemistry was there since they met years ago. Walker waited her growing up till eighteen years ago, and this time it was Mia’s turn to wait Walker come back from prison. She was such a great heroine, she never blamed Walker, she understood him, she was grateful for him saving her every time. Walker fall in love with his Mia when he firstly laid his eyes on her. They both had strong feelings and connections with each other. Never seen anyone else in their eyes from the beginning till the end.
“Do you remember when I said I was going to come for you, the day you turned eighteen? That I was going to take you?” Each word feels like it’s tearing itself from my raw throat.
“I do. I remember every letter of every word from that day. I’ve played it over and over in my mind for five years.”
“That day, you said you’d be mine. That you would be waiting for me the next day. You know what would have happened if I’d come, don’t you? What that meant.”
She nods, pulling her lips tight together and holding her eyelids closed for a long moment, before opening them and latching her gaze onto mine.
“Are you still ready? We’ve waited long enough, Cricket.” I don’t try to hide the desperation in my words. “I want it all still. When I saw you standing here, it was like it was yesterday.”
“I’ve been ready. I wasn’t sure of that until just now, but I am.”
Walker might be a bad guy, but he was an absolutely possessive insane and obsessing ALPHA when things comes to his Mia. Plots was simple but I really love this one!!! So so sweet!!!♥️♥️♥️

These two met when Mia was too young, at 14, but they both fell hard and fast in love for one another<3
Walker knew she was the one for him the moment his eyes laid upon her but knew she was too young, underage, so he waited until her 18th birthday to make her his... unfortunately, some dire circumstances/obstacles separated these two after sharing their first kiss together... for five years. Many things happened during those five years that changed both Walker and Mia... yet their love for each other still remained for one another, no matter what or who tried to change that, never succeeded <3
Mia had to grow up fast, becoming a strong and independent young woman, always caring for her Nana (who was funny, I liked her character and her love and protectiveness over Mia)... her father, I hated with a passion...(read Back to Her to find out why). Walker became a hardened man after being incarcerated (read this to find out why he was in prison for five years), so when he got out, he went to FINALLY claim what was always and will always be his ;)
There were steamy moments between these two when they reunite as well as some angst but after facing some situations/obstacles separate and together, they conquered it :) and FINALLY got their happily ever after <3
Can't wait to read more stories from Dani Wyatt <3 :)
I usually like this author and her sweet, sexy instalove stories, but unfortunately this one just didn’t work for me at all. I struggled to finish it and nearly called it a DNF twice. I’m giving this 2 stars because on my personal rating scale a 1 star rating is reserved for books that I could not tolerate or ones that I stopped reading before I reached the end and will not return to at a later time to finish.
I can—and do—overlook a lot in these smutty little novellas. They’re escapism reads for me, and I can forgive a lot, a whole lot, in the name of that escape. Look at my “read” shelf and read my back reviews of other books in this genre—and by this author—and you’ll see for yourself that I’m being truthful.
I go into these types of books not expecting much in the way of realism and fully prepared for wildly unrealistic plots and characters behaving absurdly. But there was way too much to overlook here and even more that just simply did not work with what was happening in the plot to disregard.
Back to her is a super sweet and sexy read. Dani will have you burning through the pages like they are on fire. Walker is an older hot alpha who fell in love at first sight with young innocent Mia. Tragedy strikes on the day they can finally be together. 5 years later and Walker is determined to get his Cricket back. This is a quick and steamy read, with scorching hot love scenes. 5 stars as always!
I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review.
The well written storyline and the well developed characters hooked me from the very first page! The interaction and the chemistry between Walker and Mia kept me totally engaged throughout the whole book!
Walker is on the verge of having what he always wanted...Mia. until he takes the fall to protect her. Now 5 years later he's back to take what's his. Love the story between these two. Sweet and steamy story with a little bit of intrigue.
I’m not a grammar professor by any means but there were a lot of mistakes in this book. Enough that I found it quite annoying and this is nowhere near her first book so that makes it even more annoying. Anyway, back to the actual story. Walker Evans has just served five years in prison and the only thing that has kept him going is thoughts of her. Mia has just moved back to her family’s estate with her Nana after being gone for five years. Walker was waiting for Mia to turn 18 so he could make her his but he ended up in prison that day instead. Her father left Walker with all the blame and fled the country with her and her Nana. They were hiding in Mexico until he died two weeks ago and Mia grabbed Nana and ran back home. Walker has waited long enough for Mia and he’s not waiting a second longer now that he’s a free man. I have to say it was creepy that he started wanting her when she was 14 plus it’s never stated how old he is so ...

🔥 Her simple white panties have me drooling at the darkened wet spot I see.
Her hands fidget at her sides, and that discomfort only serves to make me even hotter for her.
As I lean in, her cunt’s scent hits me like a freight train.
“Walker.” Her breathy whisper meets my ears as my lips take the first kiss of her sex.
I glide my tongue over the smooth surface. She’s bare and silky. Her pussy is full and plump.
The inside of her is soft and slick.
I play with her engorged clit as she begins to move her hips against my mouth. Her juices drench my tongue and I swallow greedily, wanting it all.
♥︎
I shift onto the sofa with her, on my knees, placing myself between her legs and bringing my arms up so my elbows rest on either side of her face. The tip of my cock weeps with cum and I fight the urge to spill the rest that is driving up my shaft onto her bare slit.
“Kiss me, Mia.”
She complies as I lean in and drag the tip of my cock against the scorching wetness of her pussy.
♥︎
I center myself above her and push gently forward, opening her body with just the head of my dick.
Her legs open wider as I stall just inside her soaking opening.
She writhes beneath me, gently pushing her hips onto my waiting erection.
Her body crowns my cock with her hot juices.
♥︎
“I’m sorry, Cricket. I know it hurts. It will feel better, just let me in. Open your legs as wide as you can, baby.” I feel her body shift beneath me as she complies. “That’s my good girl.”
♥︎
“Don’t move, baby. I want to see your blood on my cock.”
I put a hand on each of her knees as I look down and withdraw, an inch at a time, enjoying the way her body spreads
♥︎
I sputter as he thrusts upward, driving his girth deeper as his other hand comes to the base of my throat.
I see hatred in his eyes. His erection has lost nothing as it stays seated inside me.
The sound of my wetness slipping up and down on his thick hardness makes him smile.
“So wet. So beautiful. My shy little girl.”
He shifts upward into me, every inch of him owning me from the inside. His hand swoops to my lower back, pressing me down, the perfect amount of pressure, the exact friction needed to bring me to the edge as his eyes stay pinned to my face.
♥︎
I gasp and feel his hand move down between us. The clink of his belt, the soft sound of his zipper and his pants falling to the floor. He jerks his suit coat open and grabs handfuls of his shirt, lifting it upward and pressing our naked flesh together.
I feel the tip of his hard cock at my entrance.
♥︎
He slams me into the wall.
He’s growling now, grunting and thrusting. His hands come to hold my ass, pulling me apart and against him, slamming me with unrelenting blows of his thick erection.
There is no gentleness… he’s using me for his pleasure.
♥︎
I rub her gently up and down for a while, watching her face, listening to the soft sounds escaping those perfect lips. Her eyes flutter open and closed as I brush and toy with her.
“Open up your top, take your tits out, I want to see them.”
♥︎
My breath stalls as I see Walker standing in front of me, naked with a full erection. That’s to be expected, I’ve discovered. It’s rare I see his penis in any other state, honestly, but when it’s fully engorged as it is now, it is a sight to behold.
“Strip,” he orders.
♥︎
His palm spreads my outer lips as he rubs my clit with the base of his hand.
My head falls back onto his chest as he adds a third finger inside me, stretching me painfully.
“Take it for me. Show me you love me.”
♥︎
My body is at his mercy as he holds himself still, half inside and half outside my body. My core clenches and tries to pull him deeper.
“You want more? Then take what you need, Cricket. Fuck yourself back on me. Show me who you are.”
I’m suddenly crazed. I rise up on my tiptoes and begin to move up and down, back and forth on his cock as he holds onto my tits and simply allows me to ride him from the wall. My movements become furious.
“Shh, baby, slow down. It’s okay.” He’s soothing me. “I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere.”
His cock massages that perfect spot inside me just right. His tempo increases gently until we both come.
♥︎
When his hand finally leaves my hair and comes down in a series of smacks on my ass, I’m speaking in tongues. He holds himself hard inside me, delivering his cum directly into my cervix as our bodies jerk and twitch together in bliss.
I’m still catching my breath when Walker runs a hand up and down my back, leaning in to kiss my shoulder blades and pulling out of me, leaving me feeling empty.
“You wear that cum today, you hear me. Put on some panties. I want you carrying all of that around with you today. Remind you of who you belong to.”
♥︎
“Don’t you ever forget just how much you mean to me, Cricket.”
Warmth flows over my face as he slips one hand down between my legs, pushing upward and without thought I accommodate his progress by spreading my knees.
His eyes stay pinned on mine as his fingers dance and flutter on the damp outer lips of my already pulsating sex.
He flicks my clit softly.
“You will thank me later by cumming on my face, like a good girl. Now, you have another test today, so turn around, get to your schoolwork.”
Walker has been waiting a long time to claim his girl Mia. Lots of issues and time separate them, but when they come together it is so explosive, I felt like I was right there with them! A short, hot and sweet read!
Walker Evans has been in the Federal Penitentiary for 5 years and all of that time he has had his mind on one woman. Walker needs to get his businesses going again and find the woman he lost.
Mia Williams has just moved back to her family's estate, Tensfield, in Leonard, Michigan, from Mexico where she has been living the past 5 years. Now she is hoping to figure out how to support herself and her grandma and take her own life back.
But for both Walker and Mia the past has a funny way of affecting the future and will Walker and Mia be able to keep the past behind them?
This was a great book about picking up the pieces after your life has taken a turn and trying to put it back together for a successful future.
Walker was a great character in that he paid for his mistakes and also took the fall for some others and was ready to make something of himself. He was determined to pick up where he left off with Mia but knew he needed funding. I was honestly unsure on what he planned on doing and don't know if I just missed it or if the author didn't specifically say.
I felt so bad for Mia and everything she went through in Mexico. I was super mad at what her dad was trying to arrange with Marco and I knew that was not over. I loved how Mia took care of her grandma and really wanted to get Tensfield back to what is was before.
The chemistry between Walker and Mia was through the roof and I knew that they were going to have some outside problems with their relationship. I was definitely worried about a few things that happened but I crossed my fingers that Walker would come through!
The ending was great and I loved how it all turned out - especially with the kids!
I am a big fan of Dani Wyatt; over the top guys who fall instantly in love with the girl is my kryptonite and she delivers!
Walker isn't exactly squeaky clean. He is fresh out of prison and on a mission: find Mia. That is all he cares about, getting back the girl who is his world. When he got convicted, she disappeared. Now he is frantic to find her and make her his. Mia is back in her childhood home after a long exile in Mexico. Her father fled the country to avoid facing the charges Walker went down for. She is devastated that Walker left her but she figures he forgot all about her. When Walker finds out Mia is back on the day he gets out of prison, he stops at nothing to get to her immediately. But will the shadows of the past release their hold and allow Mia and Walker to be happy?
Insta-love isn't for everyone but gosh is it fun! Walker is incredibly alpha but also totally devoted to Mia. What girl doesn't want that? Mia could have been a meek and mild girl but she has bad side to when its a dangerous situation! Totally sweet, sexy and at the close left a smile on this reader's face.
Hmmm, I have mixed feeling on this one... Usually this author is at least a 4 star read for me. Her stories aren't too complex but are full of alpha men, their lady loves and over the top hotness leading to an enjoyable read.
While this book had all of that I felt a disconnect from the story itself as I thought there were large gaps of the plot that were left unconnected. Also, we have a very quick intro and then boom, they are back together and fully involved. Felt like we missed a chunk of details.
Didn't really enjoy the sinister side to the plot either. It lent a dark romance element that felt out of place with the rest of the story.
There were also some grammatical and spelling errors that caught my attention several times and took me out of the story. I thought with the long delay to release that this was disappointing.
These are just my thoughts after finishing. You may feel differently. Just wasn't what I expected. Hoping her next release will fully satisfy...
Walker first met Mia when she was fourteen and even knowing it was wrong he knew she was special and that his heat had just found its reason to beat. He waited four years until she was about to turn eighteen to make his move, but the next day it all falls apart. We pick up five years later when Walker is released from prison after taking the fall for Mia’s dad.
Finally they can be together, innocent Mia is back in the only real home she has ever had, after the death of her father she’s left Mexico and taken her Nana with her to build a new life. It’s then that Walker reappears in her life the love they have for one another is stronger than ever. She’s his cricket and he will do anything it takes to keep her happy and save the house she loves.
This book has everything that you could want, great story, drama, action and lots of heat. It’s a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 read.
But after reading this, I'm not sure why. I suppose she changed her writing style, because I just don't remember her books being this bad.
There were a lot of things at the start of the book that made me want to add this to my DNF list. The male MC "noticed" the female MC when she was 13-14 yrs old. He was much older although I don't think his actual age was ever revealed. He was old enough to be a partner in an investment company though. There were a ton of lines and actions and just .... I don't know, to me, instead of coming off as steamy and sexy, it all just sounded crude and vulgar.
The nail in the coffin though, was the irony. The female MC wants to be a book editor. Takes classes, sets up her own editing firm, all the while, the author actually writing this book, desperately needed some solid editing. Her beta team and editor did not help her out at all. Thank goodness this was a KU title.
I received this book as an arc reader and I am voluntarily giving my honest review.
Mia has spent the last five years trapped in her fathers estate in Mexico. When he dies she is finally free to go back to the only home she has ever known.
Walker has spent the last 5 years in federal prison after taking the fall for Mia’s father. And when he gets out all her think of is getting Mia back into his life.
Even though they spent the last 5 years apart, it’s like not a day has gone by that they weren’t together.
Walker will do anything for his Cricket including saving the house she loves from foreclosure. Taking care of her and her nana forever, or beating the snot out of any man who tries to take what’s his.
You will fall in love with Walker and Mia. There love is unwavering, and this book tells you their amazing love story and HEA full of love and babies.
