Vampires of Shadow Hills #1–3

The Vampires of Shadow Hills Series #1 - #3

Rate this book

For fans of Twilight and The Vampire Diaries comes a new addiction impossible to put down.

All ten books in the series are out now!

Robyn can't picture life without her childhood best friend Jayden. And now that they’re in high school in the sleepy town of Shadow Hills, she’s hoping they can take their friendship to the next level. But when their parents suddenly forbid them from seeing each other because of a centuries-old family quarrel, the few blocks between them might as well be worlds apart.

She also can't help but wonder if the flirty new girl in their neighborhood with her sights set on Jayden has put another nail in the coffin.

While her parents keep her under lock and key, they let her older brother roam free late into the night… even after a local girl is found murdered. Between her brother’s nighttime excursions and her parents’ odd behavior, Robyn starts to worry that the killer may be living under her own roof.

When danger lurks around every corner, Robyn must decide if she’s willing to risk her family and her life for a chance at true love.

This is the first three books in a fun and frightening series of romantic paranormal mysteries.

I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and easy to connect with the characters. I really dispise Robin's mother! I would love to force her to eat something unhealthy or red meat, anything but the green smoothies and cauliflower sandwiches. I was so anxious to know what Robin's parents were, and also about Jayden's. When this book first came out, I read it and didnt really know because we didnt have the following ones yet that gave it away in excerpt.

The narrator does a great job, except for Jayden's voice. It is way too feminine. Most of the male voices are. Would've liked a male narrator for this. But the rest of the narrations was so good it didnt take away from it.

Four teens living in a cul-du-sac are surprised to find out that their families are not the regular run of the mill families. Robyn just wants to hang out with her crush, Jayden but their parents have forbidden them to see each other. Jazmine has just moved in and is getting the feel of her new friends and their unusual families. Amy is a loner as her parents are never around. She cooks when she's nervous and is everyone's best friend. The quartette are pulling into a mystery when young people are getting killed by some kind of animal. During their investigation, the teens are seeing their families for what they are, monsters.
Like any good YA book, there is a little bit of everything. You have parted lovers, teenage angst, mystery, and adventure. I really liked this series and can't wait until I can read the next series of books.

This series was very interesting if you love hunger games, the bachelor, and twilight. These three series is this series put into one. I wish it would carry on after the even snd create a new adventure for our main characters but it was still over all great read! it was different from what I'm used to because the female character wasn't a hero but instead showed a softer main character but the plot always kept me on my toes and I finished this in about 3 days!

The Vampires of Shadow Hills Series #1-3 was a great read by Willow Rose. This box set consists of; Flesh and Blood, Blood and Fire, and Fire and Beauty. Robyn just wants to have Jayden in her life forever and has a big crush on him. Just as she's ready to move their friendship to the next level, their parents forbid them from seeing eachother, due to a centuries old family quarrel. Her parents decide to keep her under lock and key, while letting her brother roam free. Even when a local girl is found murdered. Robyn and her friends start looking for answers but just have more questions about their families and their secrets. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait to read more by Willow Rose.

'The Vampires of Shadow Hills Series #1-#3' was a great start to what looks like a fantastic series. YA paranormal. 'Flesh and Blood', 'Blood and Fire'and 'Fire and Beauty' start off with a bunch of secrets. As the story played out some of the secrets are spilled, but there are still plenty left uncovered. The characters are a great combo of beings and personalities. I can't wait to read more. A great add to your tbr list.

Not impressed

I started this series with no expectations. I figured it was along the lines of the Twilight series, I guess it was but it seemed more of a chore to get thru than something to enjoy.

It seems like a teen set of books, but these teens are dealing with grown up issues! I am totally immersed in their lives, fear their parents and all! I love it, very entertaining to read. I haven’t been distracted by unreadable sentences or dumb stilted dialog. Smooth reading.

Wonderful

Beautifully written stories. Love the storyline and the characters. These teens are great, though some of the parents are a bit of drama . But that's what make a great story.

Enjoyable

Made more for YA but very enjoyable, fast paced, keeps you guessing and throws in surprises when you least expect it. Good world building, well made characters, supernatural of all sorts, mystery, romance, action and some magic.

Loved

Shadow Hills looks like a peaceful place to live. That is until you realize that there are supernatural beings at every corner. Robyn and Hayden have been friends forever, but when they realize ones a vampire and ones a werewolf things get difficult

Very tame

Theses books are more for teenagers as very tame. A bit far fetched and predictable. But am a person that once I start a book I have to finish it.

Good read for young adults. I enjoyed it too even though I am an older adult :) I enjoyed the "taking care of each other" emotion that is displayed in the book.
