As the top-selling copyrighted book in publishing history, The Guinness Book of World Records has achieved a spectacular feat. From edition to edition, it has surveyed the world's most extraordinary, authenticated facts and figures measuring all strata of human achievement and endurance, as well as natural phenomena. While it continues to entertain millions with superlatives ranging from the trivial to the sublime, it's clear that this one mammoth volume may be the best superlative of them all!
i'll admit, i've never read the 1997 version of this book...i did, however, own the 1985 version, and initially bought it while walking through an aiport only because i noticed it had a picture of michael jackson on the front cover...once i cracked it open though, i found out that the tallest man in the world was from pakistan...needless to say, i was hooked!...a real page-turner...
