This book is getting rated as what it is: an early reader for kids who like Transformers. Ages 4-7.

I'm glad it's a library book. We checked it out twice... I'm honestly sick of it. The boys read it 2-3 times a day when they had it. The audio is short (6 min). Somehow there is still filler (Charlie dislikes working fast food and spilled food on a cool kid). There are 4 vocabulary words in the beginning that seem random (running, karate, radio, and distraction). I fail to see a concept that links the words or how this book fits into a reading program in terms of levels, but my 6 year old has impressed his little friends by teaching them to spell karate so I guess it stuck.

The art is pretty good.

a "step to reafing" type book, so it's at a specific level for kids. with this the story has things left unsettled.
