I liked this one was so much better than Billionaire Bull. I liked how both Jasper and Mina were able to grow and change. Mostly Mina since when this book she started she was up to something. Thankfully, she was able to see Jasper for the wonderful guy he was. I was happy that everything was able to work out for them in the end. They both needed it.
Jasper went to jail when he tried to rob Mina's home. Now years later he is free and Mina doesn't trust him especially when she blames him for her dad dying. She starts watching him to see what he is up to until he catches her and let's her know. He asks her out at first t was to get a chance at the paintings he missed getting the first time. However the more time they spent together the closer they got to each other. Then when his past threatens their future does Jasper decide to do something about it. But will it be too late?
This was a great story, very entertaining and well written. The chemistry between Mina and Jasper is blazing hot. If you aren't a fan of this author before reading this story you'll be a fast fan after.
Finally, the day has come. Freedom has never tasted so sweet, and yet had a twinge of bitterness to it. Eight long years, but now Jasper is free. He has lost a lot, and he is trying to be a part of life again. A job, an apartment, his band of brothers, things seem to be livable. There is some guy asking questions to him and about him, when he finds out who this private investigator works for, he stops him cold for a moment. Then he notices the black BMW tailing him. He knows who it is. Time to try to apologize and make amends.
The day he was released from prison was one of the worst days of her life. His actions have cost Wilhelmina (aka Mina) her father. Now that the private investigator, who came recommended by good friends, has balked like a teenager, it is up to Mina to do something about this. Only she isn't great at concealing herself, but no matter. She is going to do whatever it takes to put him back where he belongs.
The fact that she is so tired, both physically and mentally, from following Jasper, it takes her by surprise when the passenger door opens and Jasper sits down holding coffee and something to eat and closes the door behind him. Get out didn't work either time she says it. Peace offering of coffee and muffin/donut accepted. Could he actually be human and not at least half monster? Did she really know him or just what she wanted to see of him? She accepts, and they briefly talk. The conversation ends with her agreeing to meet with him to talk and hash things out.
Jasper knew this would have to be done, he is ready to face her and tell her the truth and what really happened. He had it so that she held all the cards, he would tell her everything, and hopefully he would be able to see her again. He knew right away that she was someone different, someone he would need to be with and around. His light in the darkness. The first "date" happens and it was fun, hard at times, and leaving them both wanting more. Mina is dressed in a sun dress and to break the tension Jasper makes a joke, only he wasn't really joking. To his surprise, and to Mina's surprise, her response heats things up. The get to his apartment, and then it really heats up. The kiss is not the usual kiss, this has something to it.....meaning, feeling, a sense of belonging - for both of them. But as quickly as that kiss happened, Jasper goes and surprises Mina even more, he has kissed her so that she is at the door, and he helps her through it and closes the door behind her, she is in the hallway and he leaning against the door inside his apartment. Jasper knows that Mina would regret things going too far, and he wants to prove to her he won't hurt her again.
There are texts and calls, and another date is set up, this one is back at Jasper's place, he cooks a little something and they start really talking, discussing a lot and what really happened is what Mina finds out. Jasper was the scapegoat. Then dinner is good, but Mina has something she needs to let Jasper know. Things again heat up, only this time Mina starts it and shows Jasper what her feelings are. Things are explosive between these two, and then the bubble bursts a little by a knock at the door. That knock and the person behind that knock has announced the dangerous game that both Jasper and Mina are facing. The plan that was started and put Jasper away has not been forgotten by his band of brothers. This time though Mina and Jasper are in this together.
The twists start fast and furious, there is the proof of who is really behind the plan is revealed, but not before there is real feelings exposed between Jasper and Mina, as well as a plan of their own to get out from under this group of selfish jerks, the plan set into motion has a parole officer and back up helping Mina and Jasper. But it also involves a kidnapping, a gun fight with dire consequences, and some pretty important things come to light by the most expected people and ways. The police have what they need, Mina and Jasper are given their chance for happy ever afters. There is also a few more twists and some other people that also have big roles in their happy ending as well.
A great read about revenge, betrayal, and redemption.
Length: A shorter novel but very satisfying. (I’m tired of novellas being touted as novels when they aren’t…)
Character development: I was totally blown away by not just our two main characters – Jasper and Mina. I was very impressed that Jake, Eric, and Sam (three members of a motorcycle club that was more like a high-level burglary crew going after rare and priceless paintings). The reason why most romance novellas fail is that you only have so little time to get to know the two protagonists, and the antagonists are almost cartoonish or melodramatic, following the over-used bad-guy template, which cheapens the reading experience. Instead, Romi Hart kept my brain wondering “Is he a good guy? A good bad guy? Chaotically evil alignment??” Keeping me a little off-balanced regarding these individuals is a good thing. Definitely not everyone is as they seem, even Mina and Jasper. Both are complex individuals. At first, I wasn’t buying Mina’s isolated, poor little rich girl persona, but as the story progressed, I began to understand why she wasn’t the spoiled little rich girl because money usually corrupts no matter how hard you try to fight it. Maybe because of her utter devotion to her father (later deceased) may have prevented her from allowing herself to be put through the Kardassian meat grinder into the fake high society mold. As for Jasper, I was very pleased to see all sorts of levels in his personality, all of which were very believable. I won’t say anything more about Sam, Jake, and Eric because you’ll have to read it yourself!
Emotional factor: Romi Hart made it so easy to really like these characters. And it wasn’t something that happened all at once. I was right there, experiencing what they were experiencing, I was so drawn into the action.
Speed of action: Oh my god… Talk about a rollercoaster. Look, I have seen similar scenarios where the good guy has to find a means to break away from the bad influences of those he had called his brothers. I’ve always been so disappointed because the action happens all at once and it’s over and everyone’s happy… except for the really bad guys. That’s absolutely ridiculous! It’s never that easy and reeks of deus ex machina. Not in this book. I was very pleased to see that all the pitfalls could be seen, the lack of assurance that all will be all right because usually it won’t be. There WILL be dead bodies. It’s that impossible situation where you realize that no matter what they say, you’re still going to be dead meat. AUGH!! Suspense galore! Great action. I had to stop multiple times to catch my breath.
Predictability: Oh, there are plenty of cool and nasty twists and turns in this book. I knew I could not allow myself to be lulled into a sense of security. Nope! This is real life, folks!
Credibility issues: I really didn’t see much in terms of credibility problems as my sense of disbelief was well-detached. I appreciated the layers of intrigue being interwoven. And Romi Hart knows enough about PTSD, behavioral issues veterans experience once returning to civilian life, and criminal activity enough to be dangerous. THAT’S what I wanted to see.
Grammar and technical errors: Nothing to annoy me. I enjoyed reading this story without my editorial brain interfering.
It’s been a long time I’ve read a book that was this complex and entertaining. It’s a keeper worthy of at least two more reads, if not more.
I received a free copy of this book via the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest, no-punches-pulled review.
Gripping, Raw, and Masterful Based on the title, I expected a gritty, realistic read; and this novel’s bad boy did not disappoint. I was drawn in early with the basic story, but somewhere in the first or second chapter the hook was set and I couldn’t have set this book down if I’d tried. Jasper and Mina have a raw passion that absolutely craves release. Geez, this one pretty much defies the normal clichés about being “fiery hot,” or “burning with intensity,” or even “crackling with electricity” doesn’t seem to hit the mark. They’re…uniquely sensual. In an “I want what she’s having” kind of way. ;)
The character development is nicely defined, with both dominant and peripheral characters working well together. Jasper is definitely a Bad Boy the reader can find herself rooting for. He’s got the build, the looks, the brains, the military training, and best of all—the heart of a good man. He had a bad start to life, and has just finished an eight year sentence in prison. But he’s putting it all behind him now. Mina’s had a much different childhood from Jasper, having been raised with money. But she shares many of his qualities: she’s smart, fierce, strong, beautiful, and driven. She totally hates Jasper, though, blaming him for the death of her father. She wants more than anything for him to screw up again and return to prison.
Doesn’t sound like much of a love story. But this plot has more twists and turns than a good roller coaster, and they all make sense thanks to the author’s writing skills. Longtime friendships are suddenly thrown into question, loyalties are divided, and it’s hard to know who to trust as things begin take an ugly turn. Readers will find intensely passionate love scenes and some mature language. This is definitely an 18+ read.
I have to tell you that I jumped at the chance to read this book for two reasons. One is that I have read another book written by Romi Hart and found a new author that drew me in with her descriptive writing and the second reason was mainly from the model on the cover. Oh my what a treat for the eyes...
After reading Sinner that I received as an ARC, I wanted to leave my honest and voluntary review. Again I experienced a well written book so much so that draws the reader in with the emotions of the characters and their life experiences.
Jasper is the alpha male that has had a lot to deal with and overcome and the way that Romi tells of his story only makes you as the reader rooting for his success. He is the average male that works for a living, pay check to pay check.
Wilhelmina is the young girl that over the years has developed into a young vibrate woman that holds a hatred for Jasper because of his perceived involvement of the death of her father when she was only sixteen. Wilhelmina (or Mina as she is come to be known as in the book) comes from a privileged upbringing, however it is not a life that she is satisfied with.
Both Jasper and Mina are familiar with one another but have much to learn about each other and the sequences of life that happen between them does lead to further involvement both mentally and physically.
This book contains anger, hatred, remorseful feelings, mild violence, forgiveness, death and so much more that I was captivated from the beginning and was unable to put the book down until I had completed reading.
A quote of my favorite line from the book. "I knew that life was what you made of it, and as long as you kept your eyes open, you had the option to latch onto every opportunity for complete contentment."
After serving eight years in prison, Jasper Cunningham returns to his MC, The Wildcats. A close-knit group of friends of military background, they’d formed the brotherhood. Their plans for a robbery went south and Jasper took the fall. The heist of the art collection would have set them up nicely but it all went south. But after his release, the MC wants Jasper’s cooperation for another heist. Jasper refuses to be involved in anything with the MC that would land him in jail again. But the girl who was left reeling from the aftereffect of the attempted robbery grew up resenting Jasper. As a grown woman, Mina is after vengeance and unwilling to make his life easy.
Mina Cohen blamed Jasper for her father’s death though he never touched him. The pressure of almost losing the prized collection proved too much for Mina’s father. While Mina inserts herself in Jasper’s life, she clearly sees he is more than the man she’s hated all those years. Jasper reveals the heartbreaking truth behind the robbery eight long years ago and Mina can finally replace her anger and resentment with forgiveness. As they spend time together both realize the strong attraction between them and are quick to admit their feelings. Neither expected to find love so fast and so deeply. Can Jasper find his way to redemption with Mina? Will Jasper be able to keep Mina save from the MC once they plan a second crime?
Sinner is filled with hope, redemption, and suspense. It’s also a story about two people taking risks to find a chance at love. Plenty of steamy scenes. I voluntarily received and reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Romi delivered with this story. I enjoyed Sinner. It is the best book I've read from her. The plot was one I enjoyed and different from other stories I've read.
Jasper is looking for a second chance. He has regrets and a past that weighs him down. A chance encounter from a stalker has him questioning his life. He sees things with hope and new possibilities. The only thing stopping him is the band of brothers tied to his past and threatening to consume his future.
Mina has to learn to let go to heal. She is a fun female character to read. I liked her smarts, wit, and ingenuity. She really was neat. I also like how she found love, forgiveness, and happiness in this story.
The drama that unfolded flowed within the story. I got a feel for the past and it fit within the present timeline in a way that I wasn't lost as a reader.
Jasper's band of brothers definitely created chaos and turmoil. The ending was jam-packed and moved quickly. I did feel like I blinked and it was resolved. I did not mind it for this story but wanted to mention it because I know some readers are turned off by quick resolutions.
I don't want to spoil but I liked the bond/connection kept with Jake. Romi tied up that loose end beautifully. Made my heart all squishy.
Overall I couldn't ask for a more enjoyable read. It was the bad guy gets redemption and a second chance. I also liked that Mina was flawed. She learned to not judge and to love unconditionally. Definitely the best story I've read by Romi. I would recommend it to my followers. It's a good mix of bad boy redemption and second chances. It is a quick read, but none the less enjoyable one. This blogger gives it 5 pointe shoes.
Jasper Cunningham has done 8 years in prison, and now he's out and wants to just lay low and live his life,,,, but he's being followed, by a P.I. Wesley Morton, he lives in Harlem, and he's not really that good,,, Jasper and his buddy Sam Pendelton, cornered Wesley and found out who hired him,,,, Wilhelmina Cohen,,, or "Mina" as she's known,,,, Harper was in prison for the death of her father, Stephen,,, he had a weak heart causing her father to have a heart attack it dislodged a clot that caused a stroke and killled him,,,, his buddies at his MC called themselves "The Wildcats", consisted of Jasper, Sam, Eric Mc Vane who suffers from PTSD, Jake Rondo, and Tyler Beatty,,,
Her name is Wilhelmena Cohen, the daughter of Stephen, who died after the heist Jasper tried to do before he was convicted and now she is trying to put him back in prison, so she has hired a P.I. and when he got caught by Harper and Sam, Mina decided to do it herself, but that big Mercedes she has sticks out life a sore thumb,,,, so, then Jasper talked her into going out on a date with him and things went from there,,,, they started with one date, she offered to go back to his place,,,,
This is all I can tell you,,,, the rest of it, you are going to have to read for yourself, and believe me,,,, you will want to read this for yourself,,,,, it is sooo worth your time,,,, and you will want to read the steam that these 2create,,,, I would totally recommend this book to anyone and everyone,,,,
I got this ARC voluntarily to write an honest review
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book and Sinner is definitely a fun read. Jasper and Mina are enemies until they become lovers. From there it's straight up, falling in love! In addition, there's also a bit of suspense thanks to supporting characters (Jasper's brothers). All the characters are well developed and I liked how backstories are shared throughout the book naturally as Jasper and Mina interact and get to know one another. Their love story develops rather quickly and it is apparent from nearly the beginning that they are determined to make their love last despite their differences and circumstances which has them opposing one another at the start. These two have chemistry! Super hot sexy times in this book - Jasper is one sexy alpha! And their flirty banter was at time humorous and made me smile as I was reading. Kudos to Romi Hart for also touching briefly on an important, current, social problem today: PTSD as well as the risk of suicide among our returning Veterans. While this may not have been a major focus of the book, the fact that it is acknowledged is something of note as this current issue of concern needs more people talking about it, concerned about it, trying to do something to change things for the better.
Sinner by Romi Hart ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wilhelmina Cohen wanted the man that killed her father punished and in prison. Jasper Cunningham was a thief, heisting things from the wealthy. Mina blames Jasper for her father's death. Problem is, Mina was having him followed, but not very well. When she decides to take things into her own hands, she doesn't do much better. Thus begins the shaky relationship between the two. Jasper runs with an MC, but actually works as a bouncer on the side. The story following these two and the dealings with the MC has anxiety written all over it. These are some creepy, scary guys. But I loved Jasper; he's not your average MC bad guy. He's not a low life and actually cares for people. He's been around the block...many times. Mina isn't the snotty rich girl that Jasper had anticipated; she's a good girl who just wants justice. And justice she shall have. As usual Ms. Hart has it going on. I loved the main characters, they seem so real. Will Jasper ever give up the MC? Will Mina ever get closure for her father's death? It's a good, sometimes tense time finding the answers, but well worth the ride! I voluntarily read this Advance Readers Copy for an honest review.
What a wonderful story penned by Romi Hart for us to enjoy! We meet Jasper who has just got out of prison after eight years locked up for attempted theft. Mina whose dad's art collection he tried to steal is sure he's going to repeat the crime and is determined to stop him. But once they actually meet each other, other things overtake their thoughts. Now all they can think about is each other. But there is trouble looming and Jasper's MC are going to go after the collection this time. Can jasper stop them? Will Mina blame him? What will happen to Mina and jasper? Will he be caught again and thrown in jail? There has been a tragic loss for Mina for which she wrongly blames Jasper, so can they overcome this obstacle and find love together? These two people are so well developed for each other that it would be a crime for them not to have a HEA. Get a copy of this to find out these answers. I'm looking forward to Romi's next story! A Must have story. I received a reader's copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book
After 8yrs in jail is Jasper finally free, he has lost a lot and is trying to rebuild his live again. But for Mina, when he was released from prison, that day was the worst days of her life. What he did cost her her father. When tailing him, she feels so tired, both physically and mentally, so she fall asleep in her car. Jasper takes her by surprise, opening the passenger door, sitting down holding coffee and food. He closes the door behind him, he's ready to face her and tell the truth. What really happened is also that Jasper was the scapegoat. He feels she's different, someone to be with & around, his light at the end of the tunnels !After a kiss, not the usual kiss, but something ..... meaningful, a sense of heaven, home and belonging. who is really behind the plan ?
Instant love with characters, the up & down are WOW without words. Some twist and turns, suspens and captivating. It's learning about love, forgiveness and second chances. Amazing & superb storylines. A total rollersoaster evrywhere in the book. Exceptional & Unique.
I read this book as part of an arc program. I really enjoyed this book about a man named Jasper who recently was released from prison after serving eight years for attempted robbery of art. Jasper was former military and formed a MC with other men he served with, who were involved with the robbery also. Jasper noticed he was being followed and finds out it the daughter of the man he tried to rob. Mina wants to find something that will send Jasper back to jail because she feels he is responsible for her father's fatal heart attack because of the stress of the robbery attempt. When Jasper confronts Mina, he tries to convince her he is a changed man. Mina finds Jasper attractive and when he asks her to dinner to get to know him, she agrees. They have a connection and an attraction that they eventually act upon. Jasper begins to really care about Mina and wants to be better for her, but his friends in the MC want him to take part in another robbery. Jasper has to decide who to choose, his friends or his future. I really liked this book, it had a couple of twists and a bit of danger. It also had some steamy scenes. Well done.
Romi Hart has written a beautiful steamy romance that pulled me in and kept me riveted till the last page. The story revolves around Jasper who has just been released from prison after eight long years and Mina who believes that Jasper caused her father's death during the burglary at his home. Mina wants revenge and is intent on having Jasper returned to prison. Jasper wants desperately to proved that he is not the bad person Mina thinks he is. There is an undeniable attraction between the two of them. They meet for dinner to discuss what really happened during the robbery and Mina realizes that Jasper took the fall for his friends. These same friends in his MC still want to steal the paintings at the Cohen's residence. Jasper is falling for Mina and is definitely against the planned heist. This well-developed emotional and intriguing story has a mix of drama, suspense, deception, passion and romance leading to a HEA. One-click “Sinner” for an amazing reading experience. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I fell in love with this book. Jasper spent the last 8 years in prison for burglary. Taking to the fall himself protecting his MC brothers, who he was also in Special Ops with. Now that he's out he just wants a normal life, work and stay out of trouble. His brothers have a different idea. They feel since he got caught and they didn't get the pay out, that he owes them. Jasper notices that someone's been following him the past few days. When he confronts the guy he finds out that Mina, the daughter of the man they tried to rob. Mina has hated Jasper since her father died of a heart attack after the attempted robery. She has spent the last 8 years blaming him. So when he gets out she wants to catch him doing something illegal do she can send him back to prison. When Jasper confronts him and he apologizes, she can tell he sincere and she gets confused. She thinks he's really sexy and can't stay away from him. This is a well written book. The characters are well rounded and their chemistry is hot. I recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
This was an amazing read. Jasper was a criminal who was in prison for doing wrong. When he got out he just wanted to be a normal man and have everyone leave him alone. His MC friends were wanting him back to doing another job. He really did not want to do this and end back up in prison. Then he saw he was being followed and in the end, it was a PI that was hired by the daughter of the man he stole from. When that didn't work Mina started to follow him herself so she could find him doing something wrong so she could put him back in prison where she wanted him to spend the rest of his life.
It did not take long for him to realize that he was being followed and when he confronted her about it. It went on from there and they felt an instant attraction that they tried to deny.
I could go on from there but I will let you read it for yourself to find out what happens. You will enjoy the book. I sure did. Spend half the night up reading it.
Jasper has paid his dept to society and is trying to get his life back together, Mina blames jasper for her tragic loss.. When both world collide they both find out that not everything is as they believed.
This isn't your average MC romance its very original in its storyline which was a really nice change. It's very character driven and it told from duel POV between jasper and Mina, romi hart does a really good job of keeping the story flowing well between switches of character. I adore jasper he's total sexy alpha male but he's also sweet and loving.. I just want more or him!
This book is insta-lovey but it works so well that it doesn't feel cliché.. I was really sucked into their romance and the storyline and there's obviously some drama involved in the story which was executed brilliantly.
Jasper is released from prison after serving eight years for attempting to rob Mina’s Dad of some priceless art works. Mina’s determined to catch him committing another crime and send him straight back to jail. Until she finally comes face to face with him. Then all bets are off.
The chemistry between Jasper and Mina is scorching. They fall hard and fast, and Jasper’s determined to be a better man for Mina. She can see the man he was, and who he’s trying to be, and decides he’s where her future lies.
Unfortunately, Jasper’s old crew disagree. They think he should finish what he started eight years ago, and complete the robbery. This puts Mina in danger and Jasper’s stuck in the middle.
The moral dilemma of love versus loyalty is explored very well. The story also addresses the ideas of redemption, honesty and sacrifice in a way that produces a great romantic suspense story with twists and turns aplenty.
What happens when you hate someone for what they did and then you find out they didn't do it.
Wilhelmina(MIna ) lost her father to a heart attack after his paintings were stolen and she will never forgive Jasper for it. Now after eight years he is free and she is determined to send him straight back to gaol. Only problem is he catches her following him and instead of confronting her he apologises and that's when she learns it wasn't even him that committed the robbery ho took the rap for his army buddies. Now will they have a chance at a HEA or will his MC buddies refuse to let him go.
This is a story that has a fare few twists and turns and has a bit of suspense that makes it an entertaining read that has you turning the pages.
I was given an ARC copy of this book but this is a true and honest review
Jasper has just been released from prison after 8 years for a robbery gone wrong. Mina’s father died after the robbery attempt. She’s determined to send him back to prison. Then they meet. Instant sparks but she’s a rich girl and he’s an ex-felon. And then there are his friends who think that now that he’s back it’s time to make some “real” money. I loved Mina and Jasper. We didn’t have to suffer a ton waiting for them to be the last ones to know they were in love. The conflict was more Mina and Jasper against the bad guys. I liked the relationship between the H/h. There were some unexpected twists and the relationships were multi-dimensional. Highly recommend. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).
Sinner: A Bad Boy MC Romance by Romi Hart is the story of Jasper Cunningham and Wilhelmina Cohen "Mina". Jasper served eight years in prison for attempting to steal Stephen Cohen expensive art work. But now he is out and Mina has been trailing him. Mina holds Jasper accountable for her fathers death after the art theft because of the stress it caused her father and he died because of it. So she is looking to find something on him as she doesn't think eight years was enough. Jasper is happy to be out but is wanting to find out why Mina is following him. One thing for sure Mina has woken something up in him that he didn't have or felt even before he went to prison and taken the fall for his gang/friends. Really enjoyed this exciting Dark Read!
Well, aside from the MC not really being an MC (just military friends that band together), I loved the relationship between the H and h. They really shouldn't have gotten together, but damn were they good together. Jasper was so smooth. He can slide into my car anytime! (I'm' talking about when he slid into Mina's passenger seat while she's stalking him-mind outta the gutter people!). They were honest with each other (thank God!!) and the chemistry was oh so hot!!! No manwhores, virgins, billionaires or players. Jasper had a great heart, as did Mina. I loved how everything played out and the epilogue was definitely a HEA. Grab this if you want a well written, hot, quick read. I highly recommend!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This book has twists and turns, it is suspenseful and captivating, you learn about love, forgivness, and second chances. Jasper is man who sinned and paid the penalty. He is tempted by others to return to a life of crime, but he rather start over clean but is plagued with guilt from his MC Brothers. Mina is the daughter of the man, Jasper robbed and he died because of the robbery. Mina wants him back in prison. When they meet its instant chemistry. Both each from opposite sides of the social spectrum. With everything they face and feel can love overcome? Awesome story I had to read right thru. I am leaving an honest review from my ARC. Romi Hart never disappoints another winner.
****I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest review*** Another great book by Romi. Strong characters. Mina an heiress, whose dad had died of heart troubles and Jasper the vice pres of an MC, who they both thought he was the cause of her father's death during a botched burglary of their priceless paintings from their home. Jasper took the rap for all of his accomplices and did eight years in prison. How she went from hating this man to loving him more than anyone in her life is a great sexy love story and how his accomplices were intent on getting those paintings is a great crime and punishment episode.
A very well written story and as always Romi Hart delivers the story that catches me from first to last page. It kept me on the edge with intrigues, excitement, drame, danger, passion, unexpected twists, hurt but also an amazing love. The chemistry is over the top. The characters well described and likeable. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I like to know what happens next, so the epilogue was welcomed. A story about two peoples fate playing them. They meet each other and do not expect what comes to them. Absolutely a story worth the read!
Mina lost her father to a heart attack she blames on a botched robbery when she was 14. Jasper took the fall for the attempted robbery and spent eight years in prison. For those eight years Mina dreamt of getting revenge by catching Jasper in a parole violation and sending him back to prison. When the two meet things do not go quite as expected for either of them. Jasper and Mina form a surprising bond and face everything head on. I especially appreciated the fact that Romi Hart made Jasper guilty of the crime he was in prison for. The trope that the heroine would only fall for an innocent, falsely accused man gets old. I received an arc of this story and voluntarily left an honest review.
This is a intriguing, captivating book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every page til the last page was turned. What you will find in this wonderful book is: drama, intrigue, suspense, twists & turns, action, violence, emotional feelings, revenge, betrayal, some PTSD, anger, remorse, redemption, abduction, guns blazing, romance, passion and steamy erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and is exceptionally well written. The characters are well developed and entwine well with each other with regards to the situation they find themselves in and react with fears, doubts, needs and desires.
Once again Romi has written a book that I absolutely fell in love with. I loved every single book that she has written. This one is top on my list of favorites. So very well written, amazing story line and great characters. This is to me a second chance romance. Jasper is just out of prison after being there for 8 years. Mina is bound and determined to make him pay for his sins. But little do either one of them know that fate has something more in store for them. I loved the chemistry between these two. Not only was it hot but at times it was sweet. I loved reading this gripping suspenseful book. It was extremely enjoyable.
I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Jasper Cunningham and Wilhelmina "Mina" Cohen. Jasper is out of jail and he is after the one woman who he wants body, mind, and soul. Mina however has other plans and they don't include falling for this bad boy. Can they both get what they want or will one of them lose more than they planned on in the end?
This is an amazing book. There are many twists and turns I really want to tell you about. I however don't want to ruin it for anyone else. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
