Bonnie is asked to find a missing girl. Sounds easy, but there's a lot more to the case than that. When Bonnie and Sarah go on a road trip, they put themselves in danger. I was hooked and couldn't put this book down. These two women are polar opposites but they get things down. Bonnie is smart and able to connect with people. I liked her character. Her principles are rock solid. I connected with her. On the other hand, Sarah is flamboyantand sassy. She has a big heart and a wild streak that made me smile. She opens her heart to people. I was glad that Brent was ready to provide security and protection. He's a good man. I loved his friendship with Bonnie. Their foe, Agent Jason Young, says he's an honest man. Unfortunately his view is twisted by his criminal activity. It made me sad. Emma Lee wrote an exciting and suspenseful mystery. I loved these characters. The plot was filled with non stop action and unexpected surprises. The touch of humor lightened the story. I'm looking forward to the next adventure in this series.
Another good read but I have to admit that i didn't like this one as much. The plot was well thought out and drafted and the premise it worked on has been known to work but something was lacking. Not sure what but it just didn't satisfy like the others. The characters are great as always but the sudden change in our main character was just too sudden. In the last book she second guesses herself all the time but in this one she is suddenly full of confidence - too full. When a FBI agent asks her to track down his daughter, she accepts but doesn't realise the snake pit she has stepped into. As she and her BFF cross the country they are shadowed by another FBI agent. Deals with the Russian mafia, computer theft, secret codes, a scared teen, a murder, greed and threats are just some of the things the two women face as well as some salt of the earth individuals who want to do the right thing. Will they find the teen? Will they be able to keep her safe? Will the bad guys get caught in their own trap?
Gave up half way. The writing needs serious work. All their problems are magic solved by a stranger doing exactly what they need them to "because they're good people." Same strangers know the bad guy is a bad guy despite being FBI just by gut. None of this is credible. The writing is awful. Constant head hopping. And if you keep telling me what the bad guys are up to, how is there any mystery?
You wouldn't expect so much drama in a small town but here it is. Bonnie and Sarah agree to go find a friend's daughter who has gotten herself in trouble, not her doing. Heading out on the road, in a snowstorm, they pass through various small towns while being followed by an FBI agent, looking to recover something he thinks the girl's father gave her. Good story with the pair meeting some nice, folksy people on their journey.
I really enjoyed this next installment of this series. I love the quirkiness of Bonnie's friend Sarah. I enjoy how Bonnie makes friends easily through this adventure and follows through on her actions such as returning to VT for assistance from Able.
A thoughtful story of grace, determination, with believable and charming characters. Left me wanting too know how their lives play out, and isn't that the way it is with such wonderful characters?
Too many plot twists that are not fully developed. The story felt rushed. I would like to read a longer book with more in depth character development. Also, there are many grammatical errors. Perhaps they are a result of the scanning process?
Our lady willing to help and old friend find a missing person travels with her wild companion from Vermont to Florida! These books are wonderful. Read them all!!
This is a great book fun to read I enjoyed reading this funny to see bad guy think two women don't know which end is up. A great clean, supence, with a Faith base
