Pursuing Grace

Rate this book
Grace
Eric Matthews. My best friend’s older brother.
That’s all he ever was to me, until the day he stood up for me when someone hurt me. I saw him in a whole different light after that. He was my knight in shining armor, and I wanted him more than anything. But a girl can only be rejected so many times before she walks away.
Will he ever see me more than his little sister’s best friend; as a woman, willing to take a chance on him? Or will it always be one constant rejection?

Eric
One word. Grace!
No one gets under my skin like she does. Since the age of sixteen, she’s been nothing but a constant reminder of something I can’t have. There’s no doubt I want her, but she’s my little sister’s best friend, and far too young. I just can’t do it.
But will I be able to resist her? And if so, for how long, before I cave in to the temptation?

I liked Tackling Lauren but I loved Pursuing Grace! I loved getting more insight into Eric and Grace and even Lauren and Beckett. This story starts out when Grace is 14 and Eric is 24. I understand the why of the backstory, but I wish it would have focused more on when they were together.

I love how Grace matured as she grew up. She was shy and timid in the beginning but she grew into herself. She stood up for herself and choose to do what was best for her. I really liked Eric too. He went after what he wanted and he didn’t stray from that.

I loved seeing the families together, the dads together acted like Eric and Beckett did when the girls had male admirers.

Pursuing Grace is a quick, fun and enjoyable read. I was happy to read about Eric and Grace's story as we got a glimpse of them in Tackling Lauren(Beckett and Lauren's story). Their story definitely appealed to me and I couldn't wait to see how it would unfold. There is a lot of angst, longing and secret feelings between these two. However, their love story is sweet and romantic. Good read!

I had a hard time with this book. Grace and Eric have had feelings for each other for a long time, but tried to ignore them until she became of legal age then all bets were off. I just couldn't connect with the characters or the story and couldn't get past the age at which he initially became interested in her.

I enjoyed getting Grace and Eric's back story.
They have both had feelings for each other for a long time. But they never acted on them, until shebwas of legal age.
Grace is tired of being a secret. She has had enough and ends things with Eric.
Eric gives her the space she needs until he can convince her they are worth it.

I had a hard time with the age difference. Not that anything was done but a 24 yr old doesn't usually look at a 14 yr old.

I was glad to see Grace and Eric get their happy ending.
