Broken Mind A psychological thriller – life, death and what lies beyond
Reverend Lucas Wheelan is a killer – complex, disturbed and driven by deception, anger and ultimately; fear. Wheelan lost his faith a long time ago and is spiralling ever further into the dark emptiness of his psyche.
But the dead don’t rest.
Even death cannot prevent his murder victim, Helen, from tracking him down to exact her revenge.
Death becomes the veil of reincarnation and new life as Jenny Barrett, a theatre and intensive care nurse…
Stalked by snippets of terrifying memories, Jenny is forced to confront her previous life. But as she puts together the last pieces of the jigsaw and starts closing in on her murderer, a mind-bending twist takes her once more into a hidden dimension of light and energy where souls migrate after death. But this time, a familiar presence is there – someone she’s shared many lifetimes with. What she learns shocks and transforms her. Now desperate to stay, she is persuaded to return to her body to complete her life and the circle of karma.
Will the enlightenment of her near death experience enable her to fulfil her quest for retribution?
Dramatic, intriguing and laced with hospital drama – Oliver Rixon takes us on a thrill ride of murder, betrayal, retribution and transformation…

Very intriguing from beginning to end!!! I strongly recommend reading "Broken Mirror" before picking up, "Broken Mind". The saga continues on and amazingly ends totally unexpected. I was thinking, "Karma" as was Jenny with the hand that was dealt him (Wheelan) but, then I had real empathy for the Reverend (although he was pure evil)towards the end as Jenny did. This book brought on a flood of emotions life, afterlife and making the most of the time we have on this earth. I was truly transcended into the sights and sounds of every detail he puts into words. Very good work Oliver Rixon and I look forward to reading the future books that are to come!!!
Reverend Lucas Wheelan is back and causing more devastation wherever he goes. His twisted desires haven't subsided; if anything else they have grown worse. Jenny Barrett is more determined than ever to fulfill her mission of destroying Wheelan and getting her revenge, but she also has a life with friends and family that she has to live too. Balance is key, but can she find it? Will she be able to pull it off? Or will Wheelan manage to slip away?
Once again, Oliver Rixon has blown our minds with his abilities. The psychological thriller genre has never looked better!! Many times a sequel doesn't seem to measure up to the first book, but this is definitely not the case here! Broken Mind may actually be better than Broken Mirror-and that is saying something considering how amazing Broken Mirror was!! Rixon continues the story with the same attention to detail and character development that we saw in the first book and took it a step further. The writing is superb-Rixon really makes you feel as if you were standing beside the characters watching everything happen. There is a darker tone to this book, but nothing is done without a purpose. Everything fits together nicely and it keeps you on your toes. We learn more about the characters and what makes them tick in Broken Mind. This is when we really find out what they are made of and what lengths they will go to to get what they want. We see into their souls a little more. Broken Mind is a page turner that will have you guessing. From the first words you are pulled into the world that Oliver Rixon has so perfectly created, and you will have trouble putting it down to step away. If you read Broken Mirror, you will love this book. If you haven't read it, you need to get it now because I can promise you will not regret reading these! Can't wait to see what he comes up with next!
I absolutely loved these two books. I enjoyed learning about the characters and about their past life. I gobbled up both of these books in 2 days. I would definitely give this 5 stars and encourage others to pick it up and start reading!
