Too hot to handle is s stand-alone novel in the Jupiter Point series. Cassie, the only female Knight sibling is about to get her happy ending with lots of drama in the second half of her story. The thing that bothered me the most is the way Cassie acted when Kevin sort of broke things with her. For one, I didn't feel like his text was saying that he wanted to break up with her, just that he had a crisis he had to deal with. Second, how I am supposed to believe that she loved him when not even an hour after receiving said text she thinks about going on a vacation and finding a surfer boy to have fun and dance horizontally with? Is that what people in love are supposed to think after a break-up? I think not. Kevin wasn't perfect either, but for me, he was a better character. I hated the deal he had with his daughter because it seemed like a punishment. Kevin is supposed not to date anyone until his daughtered turned 18. What if he had lost his chance at true love because of that? Holly, his daughter is actually acting a 15-year-old and not the good kind. I didn't like her from the very first time she appeared to be honest and things got worse over time. All my complains are about the second half of the book. I actually enjoyed the first half and I am giving it 5 stars. The second half gets 1 star and that makes it a final solid 3-star rating.
TOO HOT TO HANDLE is book 8 in the Jupiter Point series, but you can read this story as a stand alone. There are sections of the story-line that may not be as emotional or powerful as it is for those who have read the entire series. This story is about finding love when you least want or expect it. It's also about letting go of expectations, those we feel others have for us, those we have for others, and those we want others to have for us. This story pulls you in from the first word and won't let go. I was thrilled to follow Cassie and Kevin on their journey. There is a sub-plot throughout this story and the series that will have you eager to read all the books and leave you eager to see more of the Knight Brothers and all of Jupiter Point! I love the character of Cassie, she's fun, and sweet but sassy and strong. Kevin is a great hero, he's trying hard as a single father, but also knows how to romance a lady! His first priority is family and at times that can be hard for those in his life to accept. So watching Kevin, Cassie and Kevin's daughter find their places in each others lives was fun. It was also realistic. Fans of Jennifer Bernard and Jupiter Point will want to eagerly read this story, so many things are revealed. We get to see how life was for Cassie, where in previous books we only got a hint of her life. I love this series and these characters, they are so realistic I want to visit Jupiter Point! If you love small town stories with outstanding characters, and a great story with tons of heat, you'll want to read TOO HOT TO HANDLE today! Keep up the great work Ms. Bernard. I swear each book gets better than the last and I can't wait to see what's next!
One of the things I really love about Jennifer Bernard's books are how easy they are to get into. From the first page you are hooked. Her characters are always likable and sexy, well the men are. Okay, some of the women too.
I'm going to admit something to you I wasn't sure if I could see Cassie as a heroine. When I met her I was like...whatever! I'm not really sure why but that's how I first felt. I figured or hoped for her book I'd feel different and guess what? I did!
I have to tell you that I really felt sorry for Cassie. Her life wasn't easy at all. What she had to deal with for her mom is hard enough for a adult, but a kid it's crazy hard. But she stood for her mom and was there for her the whole time.
If anyone needed a break in life it was her.
I really loved Kevin. What can I say I have a thing for single dads. They just make my heart go pitter-patter. When his daughter needed him he did everything he could to be there for her. I also really liked Holly, she was a good kid that was having a slightly rough time in life.
On their own both Cassie and Kevin life somewhat content lives, but together their worlds are blown away. They are perfect for each other and really get each other. Something that's hard to find in a relationship. The quickly figure each other out and don't mind the bad with the good.
Not only did I enjoy their story I also was thrill that the Knight mystery was solved. For those who haven't read this series yet I won't ruin what happened. The only negative I had was that I felt the ending seemed rushed. It was like okay, everything is almost tied up let hurry and finish it. I didn't need a ton more, maybe one more chapter would have worked.
Other than that tiny issue it all worked for me. I truly enjoyed this story and the series as a whole. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.
Too Hot to Handle is a cute story about a single dad and whirlwind of a woman. This is book 8 of a series. I have not currently read the previous books, and while I found parts to be a bit confusing, it was overall very easy to read. I would love to go back and read the previous books, to find out more about the mystery that appears to be spanning the series.
A brilliant mechanic, Cassie is back in Jupiter Point with her mother. Her sibling have found love, and its time for Cassie and her mother to come home. She meets a man at a bar one night, who turns out to be single dad, Kevin, who just moved to town with his teenage daughter, to work for Cassie's brothers. I loved Cassie. She was heartfelt and sassy. She cared so much about her family, especially her mother. The two are very close. Kevin was a guy trying to be a good dad. He made promises to his daughter, but Cassie is very, very, tempting. The connection between Cassie and Kevin was hot, the two were drawn to each other.
Overall, other than feeling, but not understanding a lot of the suspense, I found Too Hot to Handle to be well written story that was paced evenly. I loved the plot and found the characters to be complex. This story was easy to get lost in, the dynamics between Cassie, Kevin and Holly were interesting and made me so curious as to how the story would end.

What a fantastic addition to the Jupiter Point series! This is a continuation of the Knight family stories and we finally get to meet Cassie Knight. Cassie and her mom left Jupiter Point after her father's death. For years Cassie has taken care of her mother. Now is the time for them to return to Jupiter Point and for Cassie to live her life. Having a little fun with single dad Kevin O'Donnell seems like a great way to start living. Neither Kevin or Cassie are looking for anything permanent so their no strings attached fling is perfect. Until it's not!
I loved these characters. Their chemistry is off the charts and their fun easy banter keep things light and fun. This is a great read and one I highly recommend.
Absolutely love both Cassie and Kevin. What a fun couple. Throw in a teenage daughter and and a bit of drama and Ms. Bernard walks away with another wonderful Jupiter Point 5 star book.
Another HOT one! Cassie and Kevin are instantly attracted to one another but have some roadblocks over come which makes this a slow burn with some real heat. I loved the relationship between Kevin and his daughter and that it helped Cassie with her relationships too. I can’t wait for Aiden’s story, something tells me the youngest Knight may be the hottest!
Kevin O’Donnell may be the perfect hero. Dedicated single father. Former military and stunt pilot. Talented mechanic. A genuinely good guy, Kevin’s whole world now revolves around making his daughter Holly happy and putting her first in his life, something her mother did not do. He hopes living in Jupiter Point while working for Knight and Day Flight Tours will give them both the stability they need.
Cassandra Knight’s life, on the other hand, was anything but stable after the murder of her father. Now she and her mother have come home to Jupiter Point to reunite with her four brothers and hopefully resolve that mystery. Cassie is not sure she’s going to be staying put, but in the meanwhile she will set up her mechanic’s shop at Knight and Days hangar and see what happens. But what happens when Cassie and Kevin have a chance meeting at the local pub? Nothing short of explosive chemistry!
Once again, Jennifer Bernard has created two characters who, like light and darkness, seem to be opposites but in reality have what is important in common - a deep love of their family, a huge heart and inner strength. When I say that Kevin is the perfect hero, where else can you find a mix of those traits in a single father who wants to work hard to support his daughter both emotionally and physically above his own happiness? And the “wrapping” of this package is pretty special too, as Kevin is one hottie! Cassie, meanwhile, had to “adult” at the age of 16, when her mother took her along when she left Jupiter Point 12 years before. It was up to Cassie to support her mother emotionally and financially and keep her mentally-fragile mother safe while still trying to stay connected to her brothers back at Jupiter Point. These were two characters who truly deserved their happily ever after and Ms. Bernard delivered!
As a always, this author’s writing and pacing were perfect, and the mix of romance with the suspense engrossing. The mystery surrounding the Knight patriarch’s murder is finally solved with its resolution shedding light on why Janine Knight acted the way she did. As for mom Janine Knight - I thought Janine got a bit of a “free pass” regarding her behavior and she is definitely my least favorite Knight. But that was balanced against a great visit with the Knight brothers and glimpses on how their HEAs continue. I cannot wait for to my next visit to Jupiter Point when little brother Aidan ’s gets his chance for happiness!
For me any time spent in Jupiter Point is time well spent. I just love this fictitious place because it is the home of the Knight family and I just love those men!! Finally, we get to know Cassie and take a ride with her as she learns that settling down around her brothers and falling in love with a wonderful man is within her grasp despite thinking she could never have either. I love Cassie! She's an auto mechanic, and a very good one at that, so she is going to work out of a hanger at Knight & Day Tours courtesy of her brothers. She is so cool and sassy and such a free spirit! She has been through so much over the years putting her own desires on hold while she has been basically taking care of her mom. She thinks she is only capable of flings because she has to move around so much. But can this time be different? Can she stay and have everything? I love, love, love Kevin O'Donnell for Cassie!! I like how they first meet and the connection they instantly have but unbeknownst to them they are about to be coworkers. Kevin turns out to be exactly what Cassie needs. He is former Air Force and also a mechanic, except on planes, which is why his friend Ben Knight (Love Ben!!!), Cassie's brother, offers him a job at Knight & Day. He is also a single dad of a 15 year old girl, Holly, and so he relocates there in order to give his daughter a good life with love and stability, something that was lacking when she was with his ex wife. They have a lot of fun silly times together at work that make me laugh out loud, and it is clear that their chemistry is not going to stay tucked away in a box for long. And watch out when they let it take flight because it is so hot, they might start a wildfire that will call in Jupiter Point's own Hot Shots!! Will the stars and planets align so these two can find a lifetime of happiness with each other in Jupiter Point? Will Holly let her Dad have someone else in his life besides her? Fantastic addition to this series! I loved it!!
I am going to make this review short and sweet. I just read Too Hot to Handle by Jennifer Bernard. This is a cute story about a single dad and a funny but guarded woman. It was a well written story that had a good pace and kept me entertained.
Too Hot to Handle is the 8th book in Bernard’s Juniper Point Series and the last related to the Knight Brothers (in this case it was a sister). The characters from previous books were secondary characters in this one, but not enough to deter from the story featuring the two main characters, Cassie and Kevin.
There was a bit of drama and suspense in the story revolving the murder or Cassie’s father. Her eldest brother is a private investigator that finally has a lead, which led to her return to Juniper Point. There were lots of details relating to these aspects of the story that were confusing and felt missing. SInce I hadn’t read the previous books, I felt like I was missing some key elements of the story relating to the murder. Other than that, I felt like I could follow the story well and I really enjoyed reading it.
Lots of single parent romance stories I have read usually include a young child. In this case, Kevin has a teenage daughter which made him promise not to date anyone until she turns 18. This creates some problems in the novel and made it more interesting.
Overall, I thought Too Hot to Handle was funny and creative. The story was easy to get lost in and I loved the chemistry and relationship between the Cassie and Kevin. I already downloaded the first book in the series to start from the beginning and learn more about the people living in Juniper Point.
WOW!! I don’t know how she does it, but every book, including Too Hot to Handle, Jennifer Bernard writes in her Jupiter Point series is better than the last. This is an amazing story about two people who were only looking for a fling, nothing serious, but after spending time together they find that they both have fallen in love with the other. Cassie Knight is home in Jupiter Point and her brothers are hoping she and their mother will stay for a while. Ben and Tobias have given her space in one of their hangers to set up her car repair shop. She is sharing space with new hire Kevin O’Donnell; mechanic, single dad, and Air Force buddy of Ben. I loved these two. They were both sensitive and in tune to the other, yet major jokesters, pulling practical jokes on the other. The scene with the chicken is hysterical. Throughout their “romance” Cassie’s brother Will is searching for the person responsible for killing their father and stalking their mother. It was scary the way the killer went after the Knight siblings but I was so glad to see how Ms. Bernard handled the situation of the Knights finally getting their man.
I truly loved reading this book and had trouble putting this book down. Ms. Bernard wrote an amazing sexy, steamy, and funny story which drew me in and did not let me go until I turned the last page. This is not only the eighth book in the Jupiter Point series but also the fourth book in her Knight Brothers series, each book being a stand alone. I highly recommend this book to other readers and can’t wait to read her next book.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Another fabulous book in the Jupiter Point series. This book is about the Knight sister, Cassie, who has been gone from Jupiter Point for 12 years with her mother. Kevin is the new mechanic at Knight & Day Air and moved there for a fresh start with his 15 yr old daughter, Holly. Cassie and Kevin first meet in a bar and the attraction is instant for both of them. Although they both aren’t looking for a relationship, Cassie figures she will be leaving town again because her mother doesn’t seem to stay in one place long and she will need to go with her again. Kevin told his daughter he would put he first and hold off on any relationships until she is 18 because of the chaos his ex wife caused in their daughter’s life. Cassie and Kevin both work as mechanics at the airfield even though Cassie works on cars in her separate corner of the shop. A friendship happens instantly even though the attraction is running right under the surface. It doesn’t take long before they can’t deny it any longer. They are a great couple and it was great that they became friends before they really got involved. The murder of the Knight’s father ends in this book. I like how it was an underlying thread in the story but didn’t takeover til the end. I like how it was dealt with. I am looking forward to the last Knight brother’s book. It will be interesting to read Aiden’s book and see how the murder of his father, growing up without a mother and being raised by a brother made him the man he is now. If you have enjoyed the Jupiter Point series you will enjoy this book too.
Cassie & Kevin are the best match! At first glance, it doesn't appear that way. Cassie comes off as fun & flighty, irresponsible, always on the run & afraid to settle down. Whereas Kevin comes across as steady, dependable, sacrificing & serious. They actually have a lot in common. Cassie has taken care of her mom for years, keeping her safe & sane while wandering for a reason only her mom knows. Cassie sacrificed her youth & her relationship with her brothers. Kevin resigned his commission, moved across the US, & took a safe sensible job so that he could be there for his daughter. He puts her first, like Cassie has always put her mom first.
The chemistry between Cassie & Kevin was apparent from the first time they met & "almost" kissed. Neither of them knew who the other was but they were interrupted before they continued. They both felt threatened by the overwhelming attraction & reacted by trying to cut off the relationship.
I loved the family aspect of this story. It was enjoyable to read & sense Cassie re-establishing the connection with her brothers. Cassie has become the woman to look up to - tough, unconventional career, witty, odd sense of humor, strong, sassy, bully survivor. The mystery of the Knight family patriarch has been woven throughout the Jupiter Point Knight Brothers series. This has created unforeseen twists & turns within the drama & it keeps a reader on their toes. I'm not ready to say goodbye to this series & luckily, we don't have to. I can't wait for Aiden's story!
A first for me to read a book written by Jennifer Bernard. Too Hot To Handle is the eighth book in the Jupiter Point series. I found this read to be a funny, dramatic, and creative story. Although this is part of a series, Too Hot To Handle can be read as a standalone novel. However, reading the previous titles in the series would probably give readers a better background "history" of characters. Well, that's just me. I have found that I understand or get to know characters better by reading the previous titles in the series. I think it helps bring the stories together. Otherwise, this still can be read as a standalone...haha!!!
So, I found the characters to be complex with various layers to their personalities. These characters are not perfect, they all have their "baggage" that they carry. But, I found the chemistry, especially between Kevin and Cassie, to be believable and entertaining. The setting itself of a small town was quaint... Well, what would one expect of a small town...haha!!!
Anyways, overall, Too Hot To Handle is a charming and funny story with a touch of suspense and drama. The story flowed evenly in which one can get lost in this quaint small town and its inhabitants.
Hmmm.... I think I'm going to have to start from book 1 in this Jupiter Point series, so I can get to know these characters even more. I would enjoy reading the next book as well.

Wow. I can’t say enough about the Knight Brothers series. I only hope that it will entice you to read all about the Jupiter Point Hotshots AND the Knights… This town will knock your socks off.
Too Hot To Handle is about Cassie Knight, the only ‘sister’ in the family. Never fear, she goes head to head with a new employee working with her brothers, Kevin O’Donnell, who is given the honorary title of Knight Brother. No worries! These two create sparks right from the get-go, and there is no way it is brotherly love.
Cassie and Kevin are truly combustible and their personalities play with and against each other to perfection. I loved Kevin – which makes my saying I love the Knight Brothers still 100% true. He struggles with trying to fit in and wear the (let’s call it a) cloak of a ‘new life’ in Jupiter Point. He is flawed, true, but I think he does an excellent job, even at being ‘a boy’ sometimes. Cassie is great, too, even as she struggles with her own childhood demons. She even faces one of ‘em up close and personal and it has its funny moments. Ms. Bernard really handled some serious issues very well, and with heart, and it fit the story perfectly.
For me, there was a surprise at the very end of the book – not really a part of the THtH story – but it made me smile and gave me hope that we’ll see these Knights again. Fingers crossed! Truly loved the book and enjoyed my visit to Jupiter Point.
Another amazing addition to the Jupiter Point Book series! This one just may be my favorite so far…or do I say that about each new release in this series? I think I do, and that’s just because each and every book gets better and better!
I loved the buildup, the romance, the blossoming love between Cassie and Kevin in the first half and also loved the action, adventure, and drama in the second half. I loved every page. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn’t put it down until the very last page. I loved Cassie’s strength and sass. Her fiery wit and sassy charm. Kevin, oh my, what can I say about him. He’s dependable, flirty, sexy, a great father, can match Cassie’s snark and sass word for word… The chemistry between these two is definitely too hot to handle. It’s electric, untamed, ready to burn out of control.
The action surrounding Cassie’s father’s killer was thrilling and fast-paced. Jennifer Bernard did an outstanding job wrapping up the mystery that’s been building through the Knight Brothers books in the series.
I’m looking forward to the next book, Aiden’s story.
This is one series you do not want to miss. The first books are about the sexy Hotshots and the last few have been about the Knight family. I really hope Aiden’s story isn’t the end. I don’t ever want this series to end!
After gaining custody of his daughter, Kevin, an airplane mechanic and retired Air Force pilot, is solely focused on raising her. He's promised Holly she would be his number one priority until she turns 18. This means no steady relationships or anything that takes his focus off his daughter. After he meets Cassie, sticking to that plan gets a little difficult.
Living in town after her father was killed was just too painful for Cassie's mom so she decided to leave and since Cassie didn't wait her mom to travel alone, she went with her. But now they are back in Jupiter Point and all Cassie wants to do is be a mechanic and hope her brother Will is able to find additional clues to their father's killer. She doesn't have time for (or really the heart) to get romantically involved with anyone...even if Kevin is cute and hot and pushes all her buttons.
Neither wants a relationship but sometimes, what you don't want is exactly what you need.
This was my first Jupiter Point book but it won't be my last. I thought the characters were fun and engaging and there's just the right amount of drama, angst, and chemistry to make this a worth-while read. Well done Ms. Bernard...well done.
I won an advance copy of this book from the author via a contest and am voluntarily leaving a review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.
It is incredible how an author can get better and better in a series!!! This was my favorite yet!
Kevin is a single dad of a teenage daughter, Holly, and just moved to Jupiter Point to start work as an airplane mechanic. Cassie Knight and her mother have just returned to Jupiter Point to rejoin her brothers, after moving constantly for the last 10 years, after their father had been murdered.
After a bully from Cassie's high school days sees Cassie at the bar in the middle of Kevin and Cassie's first meeting, he goes along with her "rescue" plan of being her boyfriend. Kevin can't get Cassie out of his mind with the spark that ignites. He has promised Holly he wouldn't get into a relationship until she was 18, but with the fire between him and Cassie it doesn't seem possible...and they try to find loopholes ;)
The Knight's father's murder is closed up in this book, and I love the way it flows throughout the book subtly, but thoroughly.
The feelings this book gave me were incredible! From love, to heartache, to sex, to intensity! I love Jennifer's writing style and attention to different things. The way she is so descriptive is wonderful! I can't wait for little brother, Aiden's, story!!!!
Cassie, the only girl in the Knight brother clan, has returned home in hopes of helping her brothers catch their father's killer. Responsible for her mom since he was murdered, knows coming back will be hard on her. Cassie is ready to leave as soon as it becomes too difficult for her mom, so a relationship is the LAST thing on her mind.
Kevin and his daughter Holly have recently moved to Jupiter Point for a fresh start. Kevin, a retired helicopter stuntman, has sworn off anything dangerous until Holly turns 18. When his former Air Force buddy Ben Knight offers him a job with Knight and Day Flight Tours, he jumps at the opportunity. Kevin has also sworn off relationships in order to focus on Holly. Until he meets Cassie at the local bar....
I loved Cassie! She's spunky, sassy, caring, funny, AND a mechanic. She's AWESOME! I thought her brothers were so sweet to buy her a lift and give her a place to set up shop. I enjoyed Kevin and Cassie's friendship, easy banter. The touch of suspense at the end had me on the edge of my seat. I'm glad the killer is finally revealed! I can't wait to read Aiden's story. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
I liked Cassie and Kevin. They were fun right from the beginning. I had a good laugh when Cassie used the word contemporaneously at the beginning and Kevin question her on the meaning. One of my bosses uses that word in proposals and I never thought I would hear it anywhere else, so it was fun to have it pop up as a joke a few times as that is what we do in our office.
Ok, back to the book, it was nice learning a bit more about the female Knight family members. Not much on the mom, but enough to know what she wasn't just running from her kids for no reason. It as tough for everyone, but Cassie had a hard time when her Mom tried to give her some space to be herself and not have to fret over her anymore.
Towards the end I was thinking that there was not much about the investigation about their dad's murder in this one, but then it went it not high gear.....literally. Some good twists in this one that I didn't anticipate, so that is always a bonus. I knew there would be something with Holly that Cassie helped with, but I was not expecting it to be what is was. Made sense once it happened though.
I liked this one and an sad that Aiden's is the last one for the Knight family.
Cassie and Kevin will steal your heart in this friends to lovers romance set in an idllyic seaside town!
Cassie is a fun, sassy, woman living and working in a man's world. She has four brothers, works as an auto mechanic and can't seem to make a real connection with any of the men she has been with. Until she meets Kevin, that is. Kevin is retired Air Force, an airplane mechanic working for Cassie's brothers and his most important job, single father to a teenage daughter. These two hit it off from the moment they meet, but both are holding back. Cassie doesn't plan on staying Jupiter Point long and Kevin won't get involved with any woman for the sake of his daughter. Despite their misgivings, their attraction grows.
I loved the story. Friends to lovers with a side of single dad romance. Great characters, a good plot that mixes romance with a bit of danger and some serious chemistry between Kevin and Cassie make for a really good read!
A quick read full of fun characters and a strong sense of family. Cassie and Kevin fit well together, their sense of humor and personalities complement each other. Cassie has had an unconventional life and now it’s time to reconnect with her brothers and find out whether she can stand to stay in Jupiter Point. Returning means that she has to face the past head on and put it to rest. I love that she is such a strong and unconventional woman with a lot to offer the town. Kevin has a plan and that includes settling down and providing a stable life for his daughter. Finding someone he fits with wasn’t part of the plan, but plans can change. With the undeniable attraction between them, humor, a murder to find, the Knight Brothers, and all of Jupiter Point, this is one novel that doesn’t disappoint. Bernard has created a town and its people that make fans, old and new, eager to be a part of it.
I’ve been a fan of Jennifer Bernard’s writing since I first discovered her books 4 years ago and this Jupiter Point book is a compelling addition to the evolving storyline of the Knight brothers’ quest to find the man who murdered their father. Cassie Knight is a compelling character because she’s been on the run, being the adult in the relationship with her mother and learning not to get too attached to anything or anyone so she’s a fish out of water now that she’s been reunited with her brother and her hometown. Her attraction to single father, Kevin O’Donnell, is hard to resist and it’s not the only complication in her life that she doesn’t see coming. This book combines great storytelling, complex family dynamics and a breathtaking conclusion that is sure to appeal to contemporary romance fans of all ages. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary and unsolicited review are completely my own.
Reading about Jupiter Point makes one wish there really was such a place. Kevin and Cassie could be considered star crossed lovers for want of a better term. He's raising a teenager who wants him to stay single, and she's been on the move with her mother for the past 12 years. Somehow the stars aligned and they ended up sitting next to each other on a bar stool indulging in what turns out is a favorite food for both of them. I believe this to be the best so far of the Jupiter Point series. Cassie is an independent woman working at a typically male job. Kevin works right beside her at Knight and Day fixing the plans Cassie's brothers fly. There are sparks from the beginning, ignored by both until real danger rears it's ugly head. There are twists and turns and the solving of a huge mystery to keep the reader enthralled. Well worth the read.
In Too Hot To Handle Jennifer Bernard solves the Knight murder mystery that has woven through all the Knight books. In addition, she manages to find Cassie’s HEA with the new guy, mechanic Kevin. As part of solving the murder, all of the Knights are forced to relive their past, but none more so than Cassie. Being gone from Jupiter Point means she missed all the changes in both the town and people. Reconnecting with their past means coming to terms with who she is and how things have changed. The underlying thread of high school mean girls gives the story depth, as does the inclusion of Kevin’s daughter Holly. Bernard weaves together all these threads masterfully, while still giving each their due. Longtime readers will enjoy the resolution of the Knight murder, while new readers will be able to jump right in.
This was a quick and fun read. I have a few questions about the whole dynamic of Knights family but that is on me since this was my first book in the series.
Kevin&Cassie were so good and right for each other. I loved that she is a mechanic and can stand her ground with all the testosterone »running« around her. I really liked how they at first didn't want to start something with them working side by side and him having promised his daughter that he won't bring woman around until she’s 18. But the chemistry that was between them was just impossible to ignore. The only negative about this story is how Kevin reacted when Holly was in trouble and she decided to talk to Cassie first. But I could understand his worry and was happy that he came around in time to save the love of his life.
I need to find time and read the whole series because I have a feeling I’m missing out big time.

Cassie Knight has finally returned home with her mother to Jupiter Point, 10 years after her father's murder. She is so happy to be back with her brothers and, finally feels like her mother is well enough to start dealing with the past. Now Cassie can start living her life= free and easy, with NO attachments. That is until she meets Kevin O'Donnell, the new mechanic in her brother's business. He's the very last complication she needs! Kevin meets Cassie and, is immediately entranced. The problem is that he has a 15 yr. old daughter that he will not upset and, Cassie is his new boss's sister! The love story between these two is wonderfully intertwined with teenage angst, guilt on both sides for taking the time to develop a relationship that neither of them believes they deserve and, helping to find the Knight Family's father's murderer. I loved it!
Cassie Knight and her mother are back in Jupiter Point after 12 years. She's sitting at the bar in Barstow's Brews, waiting for her brothers. Sliding onto the barstool next to hers is a well-built, deep green eyed, nice smile with a hint of a dimple, wearing a black leather jacket, in a word, hot man.
Kevin is new to Jupiter Point, a single father, Air Force buddy of Ben Knight. He left the Air Force to give his daughter, Holly a stable life, sworn off relationships until Holly turns 18. He's in Jupiter Point to work at Knight Day Flight Tours. He's having a beer at Barstow's Brews and sits down next to sassy bombshell.
Cassie and Kevin have an immediate, intense chemistry. Can they keep it light or will it be TOO HOT TO HANDLE?
I received an eARC from the author for a honest review.
Cassie is the youngest Knight and only girl. Kevin is a former navy pilot who joined the Knight company as a mechanic. Cassie's brothers give her a small part of the Knight and Day hanger to start her own car mechanic shop. Kevin is a divorced single father with a teenager daughter. Cassie and Kevin start up a sexual relationship pretty quickly, which goes on for a few weeks. Cassie makes friends with a former mean girl from high school. Holly makes a mistake and confides in Cassie who has her tell her Dad the next day. The Knight children's father was murdered and they have been looking for the killer since. We find out who did it and why. Next up is Aiden, I can't wait to read his story especially from the teaser we get at the end of this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
