Fantasy meets western as hot tempered Chase, a female bounty hunter driven by an overwhelming need for justice and fueled by a consuming desire for vengeance, seeks to solve a 120 year old murder.
Deceptively young in appearance, Chase is exceptionally good at what she does. She carries neither pistol nor musket and yet consistently brings in the worst of the worst, sometimes unconscious, sometimes dead, but always delivered to the appropriate authorities. With the arrival of a new judge at Fort Mede comes the offer of a new contract; however this time it's different. There have been recent deaths too similar to her own cold case to not be related somehow, and as for the man she'll be hunting? Well, he isn't exactly human; but then again, neither is Chase.

I absolutely LOVED this book! The characters were intriguing and beyond, "normal," and the story line left me wondering what was going to happen next. It is so well written. I highly recommend this great read.
