Dakota

Rate this book
The year was 1876. People from the eastern part of the continent were still moving westward in their pursuit of land, homes, gold, and not a few for glory, fame, or simply as escape from the crowded, strangling cities. Wade McCoy from Carolina one of these. He said good-bye to his small family, intending to send for them later when he got settled at the gold fields of Dakota. He mounted and rode off, no way of knowing he would end up spending ten years in prison and never seeing his wife again.
