This is the third book in the Cindy York series. I must admit that I haven’t read the previous two, but it definitely didn’t matter to me. I didn’t feel as if I missed a beat in starting with the third book. If anything, it convinced me to read this author’s backlist. What a great, fast-paced read! I loved every minute of it.

First, Cindy York is a great character. She’s strong, but is also sympathetic and sweet. She has a lot on her plate to deal with. For starters, she’s pregnant. She, also, has 9 year old twins and a teenager at home. She, also, works full time as a real estate agent. Yikes! That’s enough for any woman to have to deal with.

While scouting the area for homes to sell, she discovers a mansion owned by Percy Rodgers up for sale. No one wants to take the listing since Percy is a recently released convicted killer. He was convicted of killing his wife. Cindy is ready to put this all behind her and take the listing anyway. When she gets cold feet about it, before she can get out of the deal, she finds Percy dead. Filled with all kinds of emotions, Cindy vows to find out who killed the man. Not to mention that she doesn’t believe he killed his wife and plans to solve that murder as well. In fact, she thinks both murders are connected.

I love Cindy’s cohort Jacques Forte. He’s a great character for her to work with. I’d like to see more of her husband so I can get a better feel for him. I know I hated his mother. LOL What a witch. The author did a great job of making the reader hate the mother-in-law.

I was truly shocked at how this all ended. I didn’t see the ending coming until just before Cindy did. Very well written and well plotted. I couldn’t put this one down. Although I don’t have to, I want to read the previous two books. This author has one me over with this one book. Loved it!

Review:

The writing style flows smoothly and the book is an easy read. The writing style helped me to observe the things that were happening in the book first hand. The author is very talented in her descriptive writing and that fact helped pull me into the story right away.

The characters are well rounded and well developed. One of the things that I found refreshing about this book is that Cindy is an older woman who has a family and all of the responsibilities that go along with that. She has four children, including a newborn. She cannot afford to put herself in any danger (although she does manage to do just that) because her family needs her so much. I really enjoyed the interactions between her and her boss, Jacques, who happens to be one of her best friends.

The mystery was well crafted and moved along at a steady pace. There were enough suspects to consider and clues to sift through that it was not an easy one to solve. I did not figure out the killer until it was revealed at the end.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a well written cozy mystery. There is plenty of humor and suspense and the characters are great.

FOR SALE BY KILLER is the third book in the Cindy York Mysteries by Catherine Bruns. Right before this new release, I started reading the first book and continued reading right through all three books. I didn’t want to pause the entertaining, often humorous at times, story! It also gave me a greater appreciation for the character development that Ms. Bruns provides throughout the series. In this latest installment, Cindy York is an “older” mom of three children and is very pregnant with her fourth child. She is a struggling real estate agent and although she works hard, has a difficult time selling anything. She needs a good sale to help her family with finances as they face the impending birth so she starts hunting for new property to represent. In addition, Jacques, the owner of her company and her best friend, is worried the company is going to close if business doesn’t pick up.

When she finds a dream property to sell, and the owner actually signs a contract with her, Jacques reminds her that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Those words come back to haunt Cindy when she finds her new client dying from a fatal wound and he begs her to find the killer. She doesn’t really want to, but her curiosity and maternal instinct pulls her in to find justice for the man. There were twists and turns that kept me guessing and wanting to turn pages late into the night. With plenty of suspects, I was quite surprised at the suspenseful reveal while supporting subplots added to the emotional appeal of the story.

Cindy is a likeable, relatable protagonist. She and her family are realistic: they have their squabbles and problems, yet there is love that keeps them together and moving forward. Well, except for Cindy’s very nasty mother-in-law who is a character a reader loves to hate. But it was nice to see both Cindy and her husband grow and support each other as each book progressed. I also greatly enjoyed Cindy’s friendship with Jacques. He is a delightful sidekick, allowing Cindy to shine while providing the sounding board and encouragement she needs. He adds a certain level of humor that kept me laughing and upped the entertainment value of this story. The ending provides a sweet, feel-good conclusion to a delightful series and I look forward to reading more by this author.

Cindy York is a real-estate agent, in need of new leads that will lead to some good commissions. She is driving around and comes across a mansion "For Sale By Owner." She gets the contract only to discover her boss doesn't want to represent the house as the owner just got out of jail for murder. She returns to find the owner is in the final throws of death himself, with a plea to find his late-wife's real killer.

Of course Cindy can't turn down an offer like this. Even if she is just out of surgery for a C-section.

This is another fun story from the talented Catherine Bruns. It has some nice humor, some great family drama, plenty of suspense with well defined characters and a plot that keeps the pages turning.

If you're looking for a quick paced story that will keep you engaged? This one will fill the bill.

For Sale By Killer is the third book in Catherine Bruns’ Cindy York series. The storyline is well plotted, the mystery intriguing, and the characters well developed with a perfect combination of mystery, family, friendship, and humor. This well-written cozy mystery grabbed my attention on the first page and held it until the end. There are lots of twists and turns and no shortage of suspects to keep readers engaged and guessing.

Cindy York and her husband, Greg, have three children, sixteen-year-old Darcy, and nine-year-old twins Stevie and Seth, and will soon welcome their fourth child into their family. Cindy’s a real estate agent and works for her best friend, Jacques Forte. Jacques and Ed Kapinski, the manager of a local upscale restaurant, have been married for almost two years. The real estate market is in a slump and Jacques is worried about his business. While driving around looking for potential listings, Cindy spotted a Queen Anne Victorian mansion with a For Sale by Owner sign. Percy Rodgers recently inherited the house when Stella Rodgers, his grandmother, passed away and is anxious to sell the house that his great-great-grandfather built in 1894. Cindy thought her boss would be thrilled with the listing, but Jacques told her Percy had recently been released from prison after serving twenty years for killing his wife and that they would have him to sign an unconditional agreement to release them from the contract. When they arrive at Percy’s house, Cindy finds him lying behind the desk and, with his dying breath, he declares his love for his wife and his innocence and asks her to find their killer. The new owner, Eleanor Cassidy, Stella Rodgers’ close friend, asks Cindy to list the house and she agrees. Cindy believes Percy was set up and innocent, and even though Greg and Jacques don’t want her involved, both knew she’d put on her amateur detective hat and get involved in another murder investigation.

“For Sale by Killer” earns 5/5 Contracts…Killer Fun!

I loved it! I am such a fan of Catherine Bruns’ Cookies & Chance Mystery, and her Cindy York Mystery series is just as compelling! Cindy York is a delightful character, entering the final month of her pregnancy, hoping to find the right property with the potential to make everyone rich…the seller, Forte Realty, and the soon to be six-member York family. Driving around the area she hopes to find a “For Sale by Owner” property with an owner who finds they need the professional help she can offer. Luck has her discovering just the gem she may need, a Victorian with great potential. However, after making an agreement with owner Percy Rodgers, she finds him to be a very unsuitable client, if not dangerous. He had recently been released from prison. His crime? Murdering his wife. When she finds Percy, himself a victim of murder, she dwells on his final words, “Vanessa. Loved her. I—I couldn't hurt her, not ever. Her killer—here. Had to shut me…up. Find them…please.”

Cool! The set up was very intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat with disgruntled family, in-law dynamics (with which I can identify), sibling antics, personal peril, and an “Oh, Wow!” final solution. Bruns has penned an engaging first-person narrative for this third book revisiting background without spoilers and weaving in humorous and thought-provoking dialogue. I've always said that Catherine uses “karma” well in her storytelling…bringing the hammer down on the bad guys whether as the victim or arrested as the perpetrator. Either way “karma” is a main force; although in Percy’s case, I wished for a different verdict. However, if you're going to reveal a secret not worthy of exposure, you run the risk of being silenced for good. I highly recommend this third book, and despite life has moved forward, starting with the third book is fine. But don't miss out some excellent entertainment with book 1 “Killer Transaction” and book two “Priced to Kill.”

"Disclosure: I received an ARC. However, my review is voluntary with honest insights and comments."

Update 5/21/19

For me Catherine Bruns's book is well worth revisiting by listening to the audio version narrated by the talented Amy Deuchler. With her voice artistry, Amy enriches Bruns's already entertaining story performing a delightful tone for the first-person perspective of Cindy York. With a natural hint of baritone, she does very well with the several male voices, a challenge for female narrators. The engaging part is how well Amy portrays the different personalities, solemn and excited emotions, and the humor Cindy's character needs to employ as a mother of a teenager and twin boys and daughter-in-law to a monster-in-law. Excellent. Entertaining. Best way to enjoy Bruns's work.

Cindy York is a real estate agent who is eight months pregnant with her fourth child at forty-four years old. Business has been slow with Forte Realty, the agency she works for, so she is driving around looking for a home for sale by owner. Maybe she can find someone who is interested in listing their home. When she finds a lovely old Victorian mansion needing some TLC, she is excited, especially when the owner, Percy Rodgers is happy to list it. Her bubble is burst when her boss Jacques tells her Percy just got out of prison for killing his wife. Percy isn't happy to hear that Cindy has to back out of listing his house and when Cindy and Jacques go back to get him to sign papers to release them from listing the house, they find Percy's throat slit-just as his wife's was slit when she was murdered. Percy has told Cindy that he didn't kill his wife and as he is dying, he asked her to find the killer. Cindy promptly went into labor and barely made it to the hospital.
The house was set to go to a friend of Percy's grandmother, should anything happen to him. Eleanor Cassidy lives out of town and convinces Jacques and Cindy to list it. As they try to sell the house and have an open house, they are also trying to find out who might want Percy dead. Maybe the same killer killed his wife-maybe an old lover or one of his jealous and hateful siblings. Things get a little dangerous along the way. Maybe Eleanor. Who would benefit by his death?
This was an entertaining mystery to try to figure out and I didn't. It was surprise whodunit for me. Cindy has a loving husband, Greg, a teenager daughter, a set of twin boys, baby girl and the worst mother in law ever.
I received an ARC from Gemma Halliday Publishing. The opinions stated are my own.

"I love him like a brother."
Cindy, rea!estate agent with a penchant for investigative trouble, is just about to have her fourth baby. The house sales market was slow because of bad weather and rising prices, and the small agency for which she worked was entering hard times: commissions just didn't seem gone coming their way any more and her boss and read friend Jacques was having relationship problems which left him sad and just a tad helpless. Then, it seemed her much changed. She found an old mansion for sale by the owner and the man was delighted to let Cindy handle everything for him. Unfortunately, the next day the new client was dead. Another case to investigate.

The murder mystery itself is reasonable, well, actually, it's a bit silly, really, especially the denouement. But it is intriguing and filled with angry tension. But it is the ongoing family life of Cindy and Greg, with teenaged daughter and younger twin sons, and the intrusive mother in law, which makes this book so appealing. Add in the new baby and Jacques own domestic difficulties and the story really comes alive. Often funny (see the baby's birth session), this is a well developed character cozy which is warm and exciting as well as easy to read. Narration by Any Deuchler is well done: her reading is expressive well intoned and pleasant on the ear. Each of the.protagonists too is given his or her own voice and, even if she does occasionally struggle to make a character sound fully masculine, she is consistent and that element quickly faces from view. She is, however, excellent at further breathing life into Cindy herself and her boss Jacques. A good performance overall.

This is the third book in the Cindy York series and, whilst it is pleasant to know the background of the main protagonists, there is nothing prevent this story being read as a successful stand alone. Warm and engaging but with a frisson of thrills, this is a great feel good book. My thanks to the rights holder who, at my request, freely gifted me with a complimentary copy, via Audiobook Boom. Here's hoping author Catherine Bruns devises more house sales for Cindy soon.

I enjoyed this book. There is a lot of home life drama with this instalment in this delightful series but as it involves a pregnant woman getting rushed to hospital by her gay best friend, I didn't mind. I think I might have event chuckled during it. Even with a new baby at home Cindy is quickly back to investigating a murder and I loved it. The characters are so much fun from the playful twin boys to the over protective gay best friend. The mother in law is a nightmare and I smiled when Cindy stood up to her, hey if she can take on a killer why not a mother in law. There is a lot of suspects which kept me guessing and listening until the very end. I like the Jessica Fletcher references having grown up watching the programme and think Jessica would enjoy meeting the capable Cindy. I can't wait for the next book.
Cindy just weeks away from giving birth is desperate to sell a house and have the commission money as a back up while out on leave. So instead of awaiting for a client to find her she goes out look for “For Sale by Owner,” in the hopes of talking the owner to sign with her. She thought her luck was in when she finds a fun down mansion and the owner agreed to go with her. The problem is the reason no other realtor wanted it is because the man just got out of prison for killing his wife. Cindy's boos talks her out of representing him but when she returns to pull out she finds him bleeding to death and whispering he didn't kill his wife. Cindy believes him and when the new owner asks her to continue to list the house she uses the opportunity to investigate. Can she find out who killed his wife and possibly him? As well as sell the disputed over house. With her mother in law moved into her house to look after the children Cindy has no reason not to ask questions, especially when the police believe it's karma. But will doing so put her and somebody she loves in danger?
I like the narrator. I have listened to a number of books narrated by her, which include all the books in this series, and always find her a pleasure to listen too.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I have to admire the character of Cindy York. She is 44 years old and pregnant. If that isn't enough, she is still working her real estate job, taking care of her family that includes a 16 year old and 9 year old twins. She's 44 years old. And she has the mother-in-law from hell who really is crueler than you could imagine. And there is the fact she's pregnant at age 44...

In spite of all that, Cindy drives around looking for "For Sale By Owner" (FSBO) properties for which she is hoping to get a listing. When taking a wrong turn leads her to a Victorian mansion that is not only incredible but also has a sign that indicates it is FSBO, she has to stop even though the long driveway is unplowed.
Just when it seems no one is at home, the owner appears and invites her inside. By the time she leaves with a signed contract, Cindy is thrilled. A wonderful new property for her to sell and a boost in the listings for the reality during a very slow time. However when she gets to the reality and tells Jacque, best friend and owner of the reality company, she is stunned at his news. Her new client has just been released from prison after serving 20 years for murdering his wife!

Author Catherine Bruns has done an excellent job of dealing with emotions of her characters in this book. And boy, the emotions run the gamut! Aside from real estate problems, her boss is going through a terrible spot in his marriage and looking at the possibility of divorce. To make matters worse, her mother-in-law's roof collapses and she informs Cindy and husband Greg she is moving in with them while it is fixed.

I also liked the author's way of keeping the book suspenseful yet realistic and unexpected. From attacks and threats to actual murder, the reader is surprised and shocked each time.

I think this is perhaps the best book in the series and I wonder how or if the author plans to continue writing more in this series. If you have ever bought or sold a house, or gone to an open house, or just love mysteries, it is definitely a book not to be missed. Wonderful!

I haven't read (or listened to) the other books in this series, but that was not an issue as the past cases Cindy had dealt are mentioned enough in passing to get a feel for her ability as an amateur sleuth.
Cindy definitely has her hands full in this story - at the beginning she is pregnant with her fourth child, and while her husband has a good job, her income as a real estate agent is still very much needed.
She has an ambition to sell a million-dollar property and is intrigued by a mansion that is up for sale but without any other agencies in the area representing it. And there's a reason for that - the owner, Percy Rodgers, has recently left jail after a murder conviction. Charged with murdering his own wife no less at the house he now wants to sell.
When Cindy meets him, however, instinct tells her he was innocent, and so she accepts the job, only later to rethink her family commitments and decide to pull out. Which is when she finds Percy dead.
The sleuth in her cannot just lie down and accept his death as anything other than suspicious. So, after being rushed from the scene herself as her waters break, the urge to solve the mystery sees her further juggling a newborn baby (plus her other commitments) with a need to prove Percy's innocence.
Aided (and often abetted) by her boss, Jacques, Cindy puts the mansion up for an open day ... and gets drawn deeper into the the mystery, ultimately putting those close to her in danger as she gets nearer to finding Percy's (and his wife's) killer.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The narration was so well done, keeping me gripped and never wanting to stop listening.
I'm more than ready to go back and read about her previous adventures now too.

Long awaited, this is the third book in the mystery series and I absolutely loved it. Cindy is a struggling real estate agent that has a penchant for stumbling onto dead bodies. This story is so well written and makes you feel like you are Cindy's friend. Add this lovable character to the mother-in-law from hell, a super quirky best friend, the husband every woman wishes they had and an actually likable character that's the one that turns up dead along with (his family) that you love to hate, and you have a wonderful whodunit that keeps you turning the pages. The victim appears to have been wrongfully convicted of the murder of his wife, and Cindy believes he was wrongly accused and sentenced. The story is well told as she trudges through the "muck" of everything to find out who his killer is besides dealing with her own drama of recently having a new baby and an already established family with the rebellious teenager, a pair of rambunctious twins, and being a new mom at the age of 44 on top of it all. The story moves along at a good pace with lots of background, great descriptives and all in all just a good, fun story that you will find hard to put down. This book is easily read as a standalone, although it absolutely wouldn't hurt if you went back and read the first two (hint, hint). Bruns has a reputation for excellent writing and this book is no exception. So, without any spoilers here, pick up this book and follow along with Cindy and her posse as she embarks on what appears on the surface to be an impossible mystery. Twists and turns that keep you guessing until the end, the victim is fortunate to have had Cindy on his side! Get this now!

I received this book for free. I am voluntarily leaving this review and all opinions expressed herein are mine.

This is the third book in the Cindy York cozy mystery series. It is a standalone book with no cliffhanger ending. I would recommend that you start with the first book in the series - not that you would be lost if you started here as the author graciously provides quick summaries of events referenced from prior books but because you will really enjoy the character growth and stories from the prior books.

Here, Cindy is now 8 months pregnant and on the prowl for a new listing. She meets the owner of a beautiful property and he's eager for her to sell it. So, she quickly signs him up, not knowing that he was just released from prison for murdering his wife. Jacque tells her that she must break the contract. When she returns to do so, she finds the owner dying and asking her to find his wife's true killer. The shock of it all sends her into labor. Then on top of it all, her mother-in-law moves in as her roof needs to be repaired. Can Cindy's life get any more hectic and can she resist the pull of investigating the events behind the two murders?

I have become a real fan of this series. I enjoy the happy marriage between Cindy and her husband, her close friendship with her boss Jacque and her real life problems. Cindy and her family are very personable. The cases are both interesting, plenty of clues and plot twists.

I listened to this book - the narrator did an excellent job. She has been for the narrator for the entire series and exudes the spunky personality of the MC.

Cindy York is someone to admire !! She is a devoted mother....a loving wife....committed to her job as a real estate agent.....always there for her best friend....willing to go above and beyond for the people she loves not to mention helping those in need.

Cindy York is the main character in the Cindy York Mystery series written by Catherine Bruns and For Sale by Killer is the third book in this amazing series. Cindy and her best friend/boss, Jacques are always there for each other and in For Sale by Killer you will see just how there for each other they are !! Even though Cindy just gave birth to her fourth child and it was a C-section, that will not stop her from getting the listing on a million dollar Victorian mansion. But nothing in her years of experience or training can prepare her for what happens .......

Before she can get a signature on paper to list the home for sale, she finds out that the owner is a convicted killer. He insists that he did not kill his wife and Cindy believes him !! While Cindy tries to sell the house, she finds herself looking for clues and trying to solve the murder....... Even when it seems that Cindy doesn't have it together, she fools the reader and amazes us all.

Bruns will have you captivated from the second you pick up For Sale by Killer until you read the last word. And the way she spins the story with all the twists and turns will have you longing for more......

Something just told me the birth of Cindy's fourth kid was gonna go something along the lines of how it went, and in true Cindy and Jacques fashion it was hilarious! I kept laughing and giggling out loud as I read about and pictured poor Jacques and the prospect of him having to witness a birth, too funny! He's such a great character, and I just love him to pieces.

He had a little side issue of his own going on during the book that as his bestie, Cindy felt desperate to try and help him fix. There was another side mystery concerning the real estate office Jacques owned and how there might be a leak in the leads they were getting or actually not getting. The answer came from the most unlikely source!

This was a crazy mystery and I was completely wrong about whodunit too! What an exciting showdown and if you read the other two books and know how those showdowns went, well this one was a bit different but in a good way.

I'm super eager to read more about Cindy's life now that she's thinking about cutting back on her career...or will it be all together? I'll have to read book 4 to find out (I've already borrowed it on KU)! I know one thing, working or not working, Cindy's still gonna be the best mom she knows how!

What a great read! I loved this book. I don't read much in the cozy mystery set, but sure am glad I read this book. I'll be back for more in this series. The mystery was really good, the characters are wonderful, I adore Cynthia, her husband Greg, and her boss. The secondary characters are fun, although I must admit I got lost in the somewhat large set of family members involved in the mystery. I did not want to put this book down. It worked great as a stand-alone, if anyone is curious about picking up here. Everything wrapped up nicely and left me feeling happy. (Confessions of a romance reader, I do love a HEA, so this book must really rock. I got suspense AND a happy ending.) The author's writing style is very enjoyable, the events are realistic, and the characters are charming. OK, except the mother-in-law, but she provided some fun moments for sure!

I was provided an ARC of this book in return for my honest review.

Another winner by Catherine Bruns! I can't decide if I like this series or her Cookies and Chance series the best. Either way, it was great to catch up with Cindy York and see how things were going since book#2. The mystery is a stand-alone, but I would recommend reading these in order because a lot happens in the lives of the main characters. Cindy is a relatable working mom who just happens to stumble across dead bodies from time to time and can't help but try to solve the crime, often to her own detriment. This time, it's the owner of the million dollar house she has listed, a man who just got out of prison for murdering his wife. As he's dying, he proclaims to Cindy that he didn't murder his wife and the killer is still at large. Plenty of suspects and drama, no gore. If you've been following this series, Cindy finally has a showdown with her mother-in-law, and it's great. Plenty to enjoy here.

This is a great series. I received this book as an ARC. This third book finds Cindy stressed and 9 months pregnant. She is out looking for houses that she can market when she stumbles upon a mansion. She is greeted by the owner and he agrees to sell the house through the real estate company she works for. This is when things start to go amiss. It turns out that he just got out of jail on a murder charge, claiming innocence. When the entire family gets involved, he mysteriously winds up dead. Naturally, with her good luck, Cindy finds the body...and goes into labor. Now she is dealing with recovering from childbirth, her monster-in-law of a mother, 3 kids full of energy, a puppy a newborn and all that goes with day to day life. She gets drawn back into the sale of this mansion and the more she digs into it's history and into the mystery of who killed the owner, she puts her life is jeopardy. It all comes rushing to a twisty halt that you would not see coming.

This is book 3 in the Cindy York series. I have read book 1 but not book 2. It really would not matter if you were just starting with this book. Cindy York is a mother and a real estate agent with solving murders as a sideline. I love how Catherine Bruns has created a strong women in Cindy. Cindy York is someone you just want to get to know better. I also loved her interaction with her mother in-law. If you enjoy good clean mysteries you should give this series a try. Amy Deuchler is the narrator for this series and she is wonderful. I enjoy her voice and think she makes a great Cindy York. I was gifted this book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.

I enjoyed For Sale by Killer, the third book in the Cindy York mystery series. Cindy and Greg become parents for a fourth time and things are hectic at the York house. Helen, the mother-in-law from
h--l (that I can really relate to), is staying with them while her roof is being repaired. And once again her job as a real estate agent puts Cindy and her friend Jacques in danger. I love the characters in this series especially Greg, the husband of my dreams! It's so much fun to pick up one of the books and immediately feel like you're in New York with them. I look forward to reading killer View, book 4!

I loved this latest addition to the Cindy York Mysteries. Although very pregnant, she finds an old Victorian house with a “Sale By Owner” sign. She is thrilled to get the owner to sign with her until she gets back to the office and finds out that the owner has recently been released from prison for murdering his wife. While returning to the house to get released from the contract she finds the owner near death. Of course she gets involved in investigating the murder along with trying to keep up with her home, husband, children, new baby and terrible mother-in-law. A terrific read!

For Sale by Killer by Catherine Bruns is book 3 in the Cindy York mysteries. As a former realtor, I appreciate the details and safety precautions many in the industry take. I was immediately pulled into this book. I loved the details and imagery, the storyline, and a number of the characters. Amy Deuchler is magical bringing the characters to life. I love her narration. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntary written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator. Great standalone listen and part of the series.

Fast paced, interesting mystery that sucked me in from page one! I liked Catherine Bruns writing style. I enjoyed a slightly older heroine with family and all that involves. This story has humor, well drawn characters, a great supporting cast, lots of clues and plot twists. I was well entertained. I highly recommend For Sale By Killer.

Great, unique story. I hadn't read the first two before this one, but it read well as a stand-alone book and gave just enough background to cover what had happened in the previous two stories. Fun characters (although I don't understand why Cindy doesn't have more girlfriends around) and a very captivating story that kept me guessing until the end.

A realtor mystery

Cindy is very pregnant, had grade school twin boys, a high school daughter, loving husband... and a mother in law from hell. Along with her best friend and boss, Cindy has a knack for finding bodies. What could go wrong when she agrees to sell a dilapidated mansion for a man just released from prison for murdering his wife?

This was a cute cozy mystery. The narration is very good. I wasn't on the edge of my seat while reading but I also didn't pick up on the killer until it was revealed either. I wonder where the next mystery will come from now that Cindy's real estate career is slowing down.

*I received this audiobook free for the purposes of this review but these thoughts are my own.
